Potato Battery, Thief stealth is shit compared to Dishonoured, in Dishonoured you can teleport around, choke people, the climbing is excellent, but in Thief everything is barely climbable, pretty much everything gives away where you are, and the hiding is either being above your enemies, below, or in the darkness, and in Dishonoured you can peep through key-holes and open doors, but in Thief you cant do that, every time you open a door(not in a cut scene)a loading screen just randomly blasts into the screen, if your a huge Thief fanboy(or fangirl)you probably still love Thief, but it's a huge let down, i hope you know and agree.

+combinecommando001 *Spoilers to anyone reading this chain, and for some reason, hasn't finished playing the first game. XD * Though if Dishonored was to become a movie, I think the safest way to go, would be with how a lot of players reacted to the morality thing, as it was shown through Emily. When one player realized that his/her choices were effected Emily, and not in a good way, they changed up their game play with her in mind. And I think many players went through that moment where they realized that their choices were effecting Emily. Therefore, the best way to handle this would be to start with Corvo being angry and resentful to what happened, and throughout the first part of the movie, he is overly violent, killing whoever and whatever stands in his way of clearing his name and/or just Emily. And the thing is, that's perfectly reasonable to a character like Corvo. The Empress, the one he was supposed to protect with his life, died in front of him, and he couldn't even lift a finger to stop it. Emily was captured, and then, he was blamed for that. Not only that, but he spent six months in prison, constantly tortured in hopes that he'd confessed--then the true culprits admitted their guilt in front of his face--mocking him. But he gets out, and I think, after six months of mental, emotional, and physical torment, anyone would be mad. So for character depth, the movie could start with him killing the guards and possibly weepers that he comes across, and for the first several missions--even after rescuing Emily, he is ruthless. But then he comes back one day to see her pictures...and he realizes that he, like it or not, has become her role model. His choices would define her throughout the rest of her life. And so he starts to change--not a quick 180, but through the rest of the game, he goes forth sparing as many guards as he comes across, only killing if he gets spotted, but still kills his targets. However, he continues to change his ways, and when he finally comes across Lord Regant--no, Corvo doesn't spare him completely, but he doesn't kill him either. I don't think he fully spares a victim until he comes across Daud, the man who took away the Empress's life, and kidnapped Emily. It would show the full turn of Corvo's character as he rolled into the climax, but as he struggles through, the question would be: Would he spare the Loyalists upon finding them, or would he kill them for planning to take Emily, and use her? (I would like a happy ending though, so it'd be a no-kill with Havelock--or a death Corvo couldn't prevent.) Of course, this won't please everyone either. People will argue that Corvo should have a good heart all the way through. *Insert heart jokes here* Some will say the second half might get boring if he isn't as violent. *Though I think that can be fixed with having non-lethal fights.* This one however, brings both things to the table. Corvo starts with a high-chaos play, and ends with the low-chaos. It would show character progression, and it would show the two main ways people played the game. *And even the middle path when he's coming around* This isn't a perfect choice, but I think it'd be one of the better ways to handle a game with choice being a big part of it. Of course, that's just my take on it, and just an opinion. If they're going to make a movie, they better take it seriously. I do not need to see another horrible movie adaption of a game.
***** I think I had the same vision about it, start with high-chaos, then start walking a path to redemption, there will always be blood on his hands but at least he's at peace knowing that his choices will ensure a greater future for the Empire. As for the loyalist, if it's the low chaos in the end, I'd say after seeing the others dead from poison, he go up to Havelock and speak to him, though from there it wouldn't be like the game. He grabs the key and Havelock tries to stop him but Corvo doesn't take his blade out and just stares at him. Havelock now realize that in the end even if Corvo has a lot of blood in his hands, he still can see more clearly and he drops his blade and bids him to free Emily, he'll face whatever comes like he should have when the Lord Regent was dealt with. Better late than never.

You're actually 100% correct. This trailer is almost definitely based off of a cut level for Dishonored that was used as an overall showcase for the game. The story was near-enough completed at this point, the gameplay almost perfected. They had ambient dialogue, side-missions, scripted events, and pretty much everything done for the level. This level was eventually cut, but it was so well-refined and polished that they just tweaked it a little bit and included it in the Knife of Dunwall DLC.

@@tTaseric ahh
So this was probably
Like
An alternate demo of the mission where you, as Daud, have to kill
Barrister Timsh
The rich old guy dressed in white
Interesting then
To see similarities and differences between this trailer and the game level
Awesome!
Still the best game for me! Played this on 2012, never got a chance to play the part 2. NOW ITS TIME!
And it's glorious, too! One of the best level designs ever.
Corvo Attano is the best assassin I've ever seen with unique abilities
Marvel Kidd1222 Daud's a way better assassin. Going by his track record. Plus his powers are way cooler.
Wow the trailer is very impressive even after 12 years
did anybody else notice in the end corvo had bone charms and a spring razor on him
This game is so underappreciated
the eye in the eyehole was so cool
Zoey Bonneville keyhole?
Hahahaha xD
How dare you look through my eyeholes
This is still one of the best games there is.....It will always be...
Cant believe this is 10 years old now
its 2020 and i still find myself coming back to this trailer
When a trailer still gives you hype even over a decade after release
we will never get a dishonored 3.. or a prey sequel
2020 and this trailer still gives me the chills!!
One of the best games ever made. 1 is better than 2 but the changes made in 2 are really impressive.
12 years later, still a masterpiece
The only bad thing about this is, that the Outsider does not give Corvo the mark in his cell. He does it after Corvo escapes.
Dude, this is actually one of the only times you see Corvo's face before the second game.
You can see Corvo face in the credits of dishonored
@@Ale-dd3ek "one of the"
You can also see it in the difficulty setting at the start of new game
this trailer literally defines how I played dishonored
If you think your good at this game watch this (sorry) lol
Can't believe it's been 7 years already...a masterpiece...
2019
Still one of the best games, single player needs more appreciation.
Arkane needs to make part 3.
Actually just started to play it for the first time, today.
There is Dishonored 1, 2 and Death of the outsider.
I will forever love this game. Watching this I realized that the day game graphics look like cinematic trailers is fast approaching, and I can't wait to see it 🙌🏾
This game hits different during covid
Do you guys ever think they'll be a Dishonored 2 ? That would be AWESOME
ITS COMING IN NOVEMBER!!! :DD
Some Guy Awesome thanks for telling 👍
Paige Alexander No problem.
Some Guy, Proof?
Mr. Awesome Just look it up theres +45 sources.
227 hours in this game and yet im still enjoying every playthrough.
This game is truly a work of art.
*Gets dishonored for accusation of murder
*kills everyone to prove his innocence
Waiting for Dishonoured 3
Check out Death loop
it's joever :(
i still yearn for a series like this every year. man first time playing it and one of the only few games i replayed. greatest series ever
Lord Regent: Killing me won’t solve anything!
Corvo: 🗿🔪
Lmao
Dude it’s 2021 and I’ve never seen this trailer! Just did a low chaos walkthrough in the first game. Now I’m playing the second one for the first time!
And so, a classic was born.
This is the best assassin experience i've ever had and still have.
There was nothing in the cinematic that wasn't in the game, no need for misleading the viewer to look badass because that's what the game is. 10/10 trailer for an 11/10 game
This game hits different after Covid-19 pandemic...
Its been 9 years but still we dont have that graphics on a game
After all this years, this still hits hard, a true masterpiece. Can't wait for Dishonored 3...
Hopefully, this gets the Arcane treatment and they make an animated series in this universe , the lore, plot and environment would be perfect
YES please
Especially this being made by Arcane studios (ironically).
wish this is how corvo got his mark
Such a good game...starting my 4th play-through.
fuzzylikelegos ONLY 4
1:26 Just so you know. One of the lead designers of Dishonored was Viktor Antonov, the man who essentially created the arsthetics of the HL2 Beta. Its funny to see how the scrapped athmosphere of the HL2 Beta was pretty much reused here
"Revenge Solves Everything" Goddamn that was a spicy line. As cool as the 2nd game is, the first game cannot be out-beaten as it's atmosphere is just so amazing. Sadly not a super long game but still.
If you ever wonder why We Happy Few and Dishonered look similar and have some similar stealth mechanics, the owner of Compulsion games used to work at Arkhane studios.
Funny thing, I've played both games but it's the first time I've seen this trailer, it just randomly came up on my YT Suggested Videos.
2021 and this game still holds up perfectly
Played dishonored 1 on X box back then, played the whole franchise on steam few days ago, dishonored franchise is a masterpiece 10/10
I really wish they had made the outsider appear to Corvo like he did in this trailer. I freaking love that part of the video.
Bethesda should work on a remastered version of dishonored we'll be glad to play it
Arkane studios
Ended up being one of the greatest games ever made
"Because you were more to them than a Composer.
Farewell, Daniel."
They should really make a dishonored 3
YES!!!! PLASE!!!!!!
"Killing me wont solve anything!"
Corvo: "Revenge solves everything!"
Anyone else playing this during the COVID-19 Pandemic?
I'll be here until they release Dishonored 3 on PS5
It probably won't happen now that Microsoft owns Bethesda
7 years later and this still amazes me
