We'll I have been eating atta dosa for decades with the process you showed us in this video. Is there anything else to do to atta datter so that it fluffs up like roti?
I love cooking but the one thing I hate is making ata for rotis. Now this new method of making rotis with batter is so welcome, I am so delighted to know that it can be made this way! But I have a question please. Why did you add salt and sugar to it? When we make them with ata we don’t add salt and sugar. Then why in the batter?
My mom used to make wheat dosa, in same way, when real rice battar gets empty with eating several dosa by me, my sis and bro. But it takes longer time to get roasted on hot tawa, taking up more oil. It's a finger licking experience, waiting for wheat dosa with coconut or pudina chutney.
Not the same as dough roti. But, perfect for singles who work long hours and do not have time to cook. Let’s face it, the real authentic product will take effort and time..... A good idea nevertheless.
Thank you so much - this would be great for Mum who made the best roti in the world and I have learnt from her but because of recent arm injury she’s restricted with roti making and misses it - will give this a try with her so she can try herself

Official review on liquid roti: Tried to replicate the water and atta quantity according to the recipe it didnt work. The batter was too thick had to add more water! 2 eggs , 2 cups of oat flour, salt, olive oil 1 table spoon and water. Mix well. All chopped coriander, onion and green chilies and mix till batter is consistent. On a non stick put a little oil and some batter. That’s it. Other option is to soak black chickpeas overnight and grind them to use instead of eggs
You have misunderstood. It is 2 cups of water, however she reserves half a cup and ads it after the lumps are all gone. If there is too much water at the start it will take longer to get rid of the lumps. Personally I would start with one cup and slowly add more as the flour smoothens out.
