Being a full time single Dad, I have to cook everyday for me and my 11 year old daughter. I am able to grow a lot of food in my small garden, butI run out of recipe Ideas to add to meals,,,after seeing this I can now add Roti to my repertoire..
Also, many videos are shot in so much detail, but this is shot really simply which is amazing.
Thanks so much for the text,,I am currently letting my dough sit for 15 minutes,,,wish me luck as I try to complete the rest for the first time.
It's going to be the side dish for dinner tonight!
    Lots of love from Australia

Mr.Ware here's to lots of healthy meals for you and your child.
I do hope you don't mind meal suggestions. Please do not stint on potatoes. They are healthy and nutritious.
The next step from Rotis is parathas or stuffed pancakes made on the same griddle. Kids love them especially with fresh homemade youghurt.
Please look on TH-cam for Aloo parantha recipes. If you are a non vegetarian mince meat paranthas are a staple diet for North Indians. They are called Keema Paranthas and when well cooked and spiced,, are addictive.
We are omnivorous and the first thing that we do whenever we go to a new place is ask 'So what's the food like here...tasty huh? Women know how to cook and so do men huh? My kind of place, this! Good oh! '
Then go for rice dishes. With all those lovely vegetables you'd want to try vegetarian "Tahari"/ Tahiri . Any kid growing up on Tahari is never going to suffer from a nutrient deprivation ailment.
Step by step method vegetable tahiri on vegrecipesofindia which I enjoy exploring when I have some time free to relax!
We don't use refined and manufactured oil traditionally. Oils used are always local traditional vegetable oils or clarified butter. Called Ghee. So whenever you hear that word in a video where the subtitles say oil but the speaker has said ghi in her language,it is“ hint hint Oil for them thar viewers yondeh. We use Ghee...“
Canola started out as a lubricant to grease Canadian army vehicles in winter. Till some altruistic high minded soul said 'Let's alleviate the overpopulation on mother Earth while making a profit at the same time.Let us feed it to our credulous gentle neighbours, the Yanquis, next door by calling it sunflower refined oil. Enough of publicity and they will swallow anything,no pun intended. Let us Spray.“
You of course will be feeding your youngster real butter buttermilk cheese and also traditional clarified butter known as Desi ghee. These two are the secret of our longevity and ahem fertility which is why when these natural healthy food items were advertised as not being healthy by the American medical fraternity to promote toxic margarine they may have known that in the next 40 years the youngsters would be sterile. They don't want to accept these statistics.
There are many videos by Indian cooks in English try vahchef who can give you more healthy recipes. Or look for ones with subtitles. Apart from this site Zaikadilli6 is a traditional conventional lady who has won all our hearts because she brings videos of traditional local meals for the budget conscious. Well once she was bringing up a family of 5 on a monthly budget of 160 dollars! Food clothes schooling... her man is a metal scrap merchant till the son said Ma let's try out TH-cam video uploading for extra income. Everyone in our country admires the initiative of this lady very much and respect her accordingly.
So we know about a penny saved is a future pound if used well!

I have a very good solution for you. Please prepare khichdi that would have all peas like green mutter, red chana, white chana, chana dal, three varieties of dal such as mung, toor aur masur, raw green moong, any other vagitables you want. This is 100% oil free protein rich food for vegetarians with 0% colesterol. It will take only 30 min to cook in high flame or only whistle in cooker and 15 more minute with low flame. 😀 Being a vegetarian I stop eating outside when I discover this magic recipe. Even I would be eating at night 1 O clock still it would have no side affect. That to it reduces your rice intake add only a small quantity of it may be a fistful of rice is enough. I do not know the English names of those peas I am using else would have clearly told you about that magic recipe. I saw those nonveg guys eating chicken and I bet weigh that kichdi for protein content and I am sure I will win.🤡

Ma'am first of all, thanks for teaching me the simplest way to make roti. I lost my mom 2 months back. I tried making rotis before also but it was not in my daily routines. But ab subah dupher aur sham ko banani hoti hai to bahut try karke bhi achi nahi banti thi. Aapki video download ki aur roz dekha usko roti banane se pehle. Aur in just three days me successful ho gya. Now I can make rotis very soft and puffy. Thanks to you.

Thank you very much Kabita mam. I had spoken to my mom just before watching this video, her guidance on phone and the visuals through your video helped me knit the dough perfectly for the first time. Your tip to measure the amount of dough and water and only use the water to wet the dough was a success. I tried numerous times in past but failed miserably. The dough is looking good, now it is time to make Roti. Thanks again.
