I am extremely happy about the Carbon X3; versatile, reliable, stable, comfortable, great grip, responsive at the right point. Very well balanced. Size wise respect the standards.
Thanks for the interesting review. My current favorite shoe is Carbon X2 and it wins Rocket X and Mach 4 as my daily trainer for 10-20km. It just feels good under foot. I have not tried other brands like Saucony yet as I have run consistently only a half a year, but I chose Hoka after a few disappointing under 100€ shoes because of recommendations. I'll propably try Saucony Endorphin Speed some time later, because so many people seem to like it, but I don't feel the need to rush since I have been happy with Carbon X2. And I think it has been a very good shoe for a beginner. Enough cushioning, good rolling and stability under foot. I think I will also try Carbon X3 later this year.
Thanks for the review. Looks like a good long run shoe. I really like the rocket X. I also have the Speed 2. My opinion is that the Speed 2 is a dangerous one to run in too often. It lacks stability. Rocket X (and x2 /x3) are super stable = no injuries or niggles. For training I personally am happy to lose a bit of performance to guarantee staying fit. I think you guys should rate stability a bit higher as its very important even for neutral runners.
Hmm... so, whilst that discounted £100 price tag currently going around is attractive, sounds like just a nice comfy shoe for 40k+ runs, but not something that is likely to significantly increase my pace to qualify for Boston.
@@Bodonzky0 The Mach 5 is not yet announced and I don't think there wiil be one in 2022. Hoka will launch the Mach Supersonic which is lighter than the Mach 4 but it is not a Mach 5 or may be a Mach 4.5 but not named Mach X.
Mach 5 won’t be here until 2023. Mach supersonic is a one-off shoe for an experiment but honestly it is not worth it. So Mach 4 is still being continued until 2023

Maybe it’s just me, but, i don’t like the Rocket X…. Width wise it’s on the extremely low end of the D width. My foot is on the upper end… so, It feels too narrow in the toe box and mid foot, and as a result I don’t feel confident in it. The Carbon X is basically the Mach shoe with a carbon plate, and I absolutely love the Mach 4 and 5 shoes.
This mike guy is very negative on all his reviews. ..absolutely does on all other videos. The other two are ok and decent but get rid of mike from reviews 😂
Super disappointed with all Hoka products. Purchased Mach 4, Clifton 7 and the carbon X2. All terrible products. Hoka has changed in the last years and do not produce good shoes anymore. They need to change management .
I saw all the reviews, all of them negative. I still bought them. They felt the most comfortable to wear.
These fit my small, narrow foot perfectly! The performance was superb. I am still enjoying great results running in the X3's.

If you've found a shoe that works for you where you're currently at in your running then stick to it for sure. That's a happy place to be.

I think there amazing shoes the fit and ride for me is spot on
On the X2 I ran an ultra road marathon 50k
I wouldn't consider the Speed for that distance!
That's interesting. We've done marathons in the speed and feel like they'd happily work for us for another 8km on the road, if not further.
you should get some "average runner" reviews... your easy pace is 1 minute/km faster than my Marathon Pace LOL

Hi Martin, very different shoes to be honest. Carbon X3 a bit heavy, slow and ponderous. Streakfly light and lively but less protected.
