I have a high volume foot so the upper on this shoe for me is spot on I also like that it falls into that every day daily trainer with a carbon fiber plate

The upper design reminds me of the New Balance Rebel v2. Hoka seems to be doing a great job reinventing themselves and standing apart from the competition though. Seems like a great shoe. Wish I could get my feet in a pair.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful commentary! I am curious, do y'all think the amount of volume on the inside of the shoe could be offset with a larger/thicker replacement insole?

sounds like it might actually be my shoe then. I usually find the Hoka to fit a bit too narrow overall

Which pair of Hoka shoes would you recommend for doing Hill Sprints?

Personally I like the Novablast on hill sprints as they are very protective going up AND down, and very versatile for speed and slow! For Hoka though, certainly the Mach 5!!
