    So are K.M.K. gummies ACTUALLY keto and wont kick me out?
    Im stuck, and something im eating isn't allowing me to lose weight.
    Could it be these?
    Atkins carmel squares?
    I dont know what im doing wrong.

    Woo hoo! Keto Cookbook!!
    This is awesome! I'd buy it!
    Food pictures are a MUST in the cookbook along with macros and net carbs!
    Can't wait!

    • @blacksheepketo
      @blacksheepketo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All of that is being outsourced for the book. The macros will be handled by a nutritionist to guarantee accuracy and a professional photographer is going to shoot the food photos. I do my best to take the photos for the website and to estimate macros based on the packing from ingredients, but nothing beats having the pros do it.

    Looking forward to the keto Cookbook! Also, would you consider including a keto “staples” list in the book for us as we go to the grocery store?

    I have literally had these gummies in my Amazon cart just waiting to pull the trigger 😂 thank u for making this video!! I just got some zero carb pectin to try making my own gummies since homemade ones are so expensive. Love to have some premade ones to have on hand in case of emergencies =)

      Let me know how that goes! I've tried it once, but didn't have much luck getting the texture right.

    • @MarydToKeto

      @@blacksheepketo I've done a little research about it and apparently the gummy texture comes from letting the gummies sit out for two days. It sounds crazy but I'm totally going to try it!

    Not sure if you've seen it, but there's this "wonder bread" keto bread recipe (chaffle) floating around that you can make in a mini waffle maker and supposedly it's legit. Maybe you could give that one a go? For me, sandwiches have been the biggest thing I've missed, and most bun recipes are way too involved to make it a sustainable practice

    • @blacksheepketo
      @blacksheepketo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yah I've seen the chaffle going around for a long time. I'm probably part of the minority that doesn't like them LOL. I mean they're great for some people, but it tastes like a crispy omelette, which is kind of what it is. That's pretty much the reason that I haven't posted a recipe putting my own spin on it. I am working on making some legit bread though. I just can't seem to get the crust right.

    I get wary of products that have a buttload of fiber in them and discount almost all of it, regardless of what it is. It'll either be a digestive issue, or spike insulin, or make you hungry as hell. Thus, I try to avoid such stuff. In fact, I'll tend to avoid "substitute foods" overall.

    • @blacksheepketo
      @blacksheepketo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. I look at things from a few angles though. We're all human and sometimes enjoy a treat. If I can find something keto to satisfy that treat, then ill go for it. That being said treats, keto or not, are rare for me.

    • @CarbageMan
      @CarbageMan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blacksheepketo The closest I've come in the "lot of fiber replacement food" category is the Quest keto brownies...and the first thing that occurred to me is that I could eat a lot of them, so didn't buy them anymore. Similar with the Slimfast caramel nut clusters. I've resolved to "stay away."
      Haven't found replacement foods I didn't eat too much. If I have to make them, I won't, and I won't eat them. The worst I'll otherwise do is dip 90% chocolate in peanut butter or almond butter (at least it's the "healthier stuff"-organic, no weird additives, etc.) When the peanut butter's gone, won't get any more of that either.

    These things taste great. But they make me really gassy

    • @blacksheepketo
      @blacksheepketo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's likely the inulin. Some people report that with inulin, but everyone's bodies handle sweeteners differently. My body is temperamental from day to day with basically all sweeteners except allulose and stevia. The others sometimes mess with me depending on concentration and how much food I've had before eating it.

    The carbs in smart sweet is mostly allulose. Didn't even impact my blood glucose.

    • @CarbageMan
      @CarbageMan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Estimates I saw for allulose is 1/10 per, so 10g allulose would be 1g carb, effectively. It doesn't seem to have a noticeable impact on my blood glucose either, but I don't know about insulin, because no home measurement of that. The real win for allulose is that it's really sugar, so you can use it on ribs and stuff like that where you want it to act like sugar.

    • @blacksheepketo
      @blacksheepketo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Allulose is only 10 grams of the 36 grams in there. Plus, that's the new formula that's only available in the US. And according to the bag, that still leaves 15 net carbs per bag. The bags says, "Since allulose isnt absorbed by the body, you subtract it, along with fiber to find 15 grams net carbs". Dont get me wrong, I love allulose. I use it all the time. That's not my problem with smart sweets. My problem with them is the IMO which has been proven to raise blood sugar levels. That, and the tapioca fiber, is the source of the 15 grams of net carbs. I'll take 3 grams of net carbs over 15 grams any day of the week.

    • @MarydToKeto
      @MarydToKeto 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't realize smart sweets have allulose in them. Is that a new formula? I feel like when smart sweets came out, they were using stevia
