I love my 2019, 6.2. I was pretty disappointed with the Rancho shocks. The front end would wallow and the truck bed would chatter on bad surfaces. I installed Bilstein 6112 in the rear and 5100 in the front. The truck rides so good on and off road now. The Goodyear Dura Trac tires were a more noisy that I liked so I swapped them for BF Goodrich All Terrains. Road noise is almost non existent now. The best MPG I got was California to Jasper Canada was 21.2 MPG. Very happy with this truck.

Good Move.......exchanging the "Fake Rancho Shocks" for the Bilstein Shocks. However, if you get that AT4 in the mud you will want the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires. If your AT4 stays on paved roads and never gets in the mud......why have it?

I’ve had mine since mid Dec, 2020 - same cayenne red, diesel, features, etc. Live in central Idaho mountains so we still have snow, cold temperatures and back roads are snow covered for a couple of months but expect the truck will be great on them. Getting 24 mpg including some 85 mph freeway travel and time idling in parking lots and the driveway. Like the solid comfort of the suspension. Looks like what a truck should look like. Have to admit I’m a GM guy for 50 years now but I continue to be very pleased with everything so far.

Beautiful Truck, nicely done Andre. I have to chuckle at all these comments about the surface rust. He's in Michigan folks. Surface rust happens quickly on vehicles. I don't care if its Ford, Dodge or GM. If it's rusting in Southern Texas..Ok you might have a problem, but up here in the north with snow, gravel, salt and sand it's just an unfortunate part of life that your truck will quickly get surface rust underneath. How bad it get will depend on how well you wash and maintain your truck and how bad the roads are you are driving.

I have the 2021 AT4 6.2L. Same color, fully loaded. Wife and I both love this truck. Very comfortable ride. All the bells and whistles (was not looking for fully loaded but it was the only one in that color available) Got it with the GM employee pricing at the end of December, only way to buy it saving nearly $10K. Will not be using it for off road very often, it is my daily use truck. I have seen the interiors of other brand trucks and am not really missing much with this interior. It may be a step behind others but I am very happy with what I have. They were VERY hard to find here in the Atlanta area and we stumbled across this one the morning after it was delivered to the dealership. We were the first customer to ask about it at opening and while we were inside after test drive negotiating they had multiple requests about it (as told to us by another customer). They had two black and one white 2021 AT4's available as well and one black one sold while we were there. It is a luxury / off road truck that works for a lot of folks. We are very happy with ours. Zero rust so far. No issues.

Passenger seat caught on fire. Seat warmer stayed on. Great for a unique interior smell.

Paint chips from day 1 on lower front bumper and around. Dealer said dirt roads. Wife’s truck. Never went on dirt road.
      Rear window replace. Fire recall
6 other recalls for things like brakes and reprogram.

This truck has at least $10k worth of options that I have no use for because they drive up the price and are things I never would use or need. Just give me a truck that functions, straight up aspirated engine, no turbo and keep the price lower than the cost of a house.

First was a diesel particulate sensor around 3000 miles followed by def system heating stage which of course caused the truck to go to limp mode speed restriction. Just prior to it's first oil change I had numerous sensors alarming with the truck where the soeedometer, tachometer, suspension, esc, and parking brake began alarming and throwing codes. This was supposedly caused by the braking module. Go to pick it up from the dealer, start the engine go to pull out of the parking space and the truck shudders and says reduced engine power with check engine light. Currently waiting to get full information on what this set of issues is, but definitely not a good look for reliability front. Again mpg is amazing I average 32 mpg with the best score being 36.9 mainly using adaptive cruise control. Just can't stand making a payment on a vehicle that I can't drive. First oil change was done while it was in for this last long stretch.

I just got a used 2020 with 6.2. I was back and forth between silverado RST or trailboss since the new models came out . Then i started seeing these on the road and looked into them and it was like a switch flipped. Every time you go to look at a Silverado you have to say ok, what is it missing that you want. Could be everything you want and then no factory bed liner. You like certain wheels but most of them don’t have them. You want rear sliding window? Most of them don’t have one. Want a flex tailgate? Nope.
I came across a used AT4 and if there’s an option it doesn’t have I can’t imagine what it is. I want it all and it’s almost too much even for me. Cooled seats and HUD. Heated seats in back. Power folding mirrors . Power rear slider. Bed liner. Multipro flex tailgate. Camera mirror. 360 view backup cam. Sunroof. Accident avoidance.
it even looks better than the multitude of silverados you see everywhere. Its in the same price range used. Mine has 20” tires. The 2” lift makes it pretty tall to get in and out of. The side steps are necessary. It doesn’t help fuel economy. The driver info center is excellent. I didn’t get the interior refresh but I’m fine. There’s no waiting for retrofits due to chip shortage. Granted, it came with some miles but a clean car fax report with no major issues in the history. This is why they’re popular. It’s like a Denali inside and a super sharp off-road truck on the outside.

My dad bought a 94 Sierra from down south that had never seen snow, and within 2 years the cab corners were entirely rusted out. At 4:05 when he opens the hood, you can see the residual salt all over the engine bay.

The tires and suspension on the AT4 are only slightly better than standard GMC 4WD trucks. The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires are nice.....capable with siping on the lugs on snow packed roads and decent lugs for off-road in the mud......but the 275 / 70R - 18 size is still too small (33.2 x 11.0 for OWL or 33.4 x 11.0 for BSW). The suspension.....the shocks are "Fake Rancho Shocks"......same junk found in years past on Ford Super Duty trucks with the FX4 package. Go off-road in a 4WD equipped with King, Fox, Falcon, Icon, Bilstein shocks.....you will never want Rancho, Skyjacker, Super Lift, etc shocks again.

it's because the pandemic hit just a couple months after GM had finished up their boycotting. So there were not alot made in 2020. The mass assortment of options that are availble with the different versions of the 1500 and not to mention the fact that the Duramax 3.0L is killing it on fuel economy and 12 speed trans combo giving great power capabilities for a 3.0L. I got the last 2020 AT4 from a dealership that had not even received it in at the time I paid for it. I love this fully loaded carbon ed. truck and plan on it being the last truck I ever buy for personal use. The only complaint I have with this truck is I cannot turn off and leave off the auto stop feature I have to remember to turn it off ever time I get into the truck after starting it. The times I forget it surprises me while driving and not to mention I believe it's unsafe because there have been time where I'll preform a rolling yield before tring to stay ahead of large traffic pools and it will shut off on me as I go to give it gas. That is akward and has been jarring/jerking when the gas catches up with the peddle position after restarting. Other than that one thing absolutly love it.

The lower cladding on the Tuscany custom package looks stupid on a 4WD truck. However, some of the parts are kinda cool. I agree so much money and this 21 has a lot of rust already it’s gross. GM with the wax based frame coating needs to be updated. It’s garbage. Learn from others GM. Epoxy is the way to go. Or at least paint it first. Not wax it right over the raw steel. Why is this even an issue on truck in this price point. I’m guessing they want the trucks frame to rust out in 10 years so people buy a new one.
