- The biggest celebration of HillClimb Racing was finally held at the mythic Rampa da Falperra in Braga, Portugal. A great number of the greatest Monsters in Europe were all present, making for one of the most incredible entrylists. So much so that we had to end up extending this clip to a fill Top 15. From the GT3 racers ( R8, Ginetta, 911, Lambo...) to the E2-Sh protos ( Fiesta, Alfa 4C and the brutal SLK340 Judd) and what were probably the stars-of-the-show, the Polish Lancer Evos. This is how it all ended up:

Digging the new font on the info boards, much easier to read if you’re using your phone to watch 👍🏻👍🏻 there’s so many cool cars on this list, but the Judd SLK gets the win from me.
Man the R8 getting sideways @6:15 was pretty sweet, picking up those bonus style points
TBH 12.10 is the one for me Judd Mercedes
I think i remember someone saying the entry list was dissapointing ;)
It was a great race, i had the pleasure of being present (its my hometown after all). The polish team with the Evo´s and the Fievos (Festas with Evo powertrain) were nothing short than amazing. Present next may!
Having the stats for times and spec. is brilliant for letting us know what we are looking at.
And this time we are debuting some additional info compared to previous Top 10 vids 😉

In the 80s Renault had 1100 hp from 1.5L turbo F1 car
@@rayosullivan4398 McLaren Honda had 1500hp in qualification.
That Judd V8 derives from the F1 engines of 88-90. Now specifically made for single seat or hillclimb. Epic UK built engine.

Sorry for being a bit picky, but the Judd in this car is not derived from old F1, but actually a LMP2 engine from a few years back (Judd DB)
The engine Reto used in his old Mercedes 190 Judd was indeed a Judd CV, a 88-90 F1 engine as you say :)
Doesn't matter its orgins, you have to admit though it sounds a bit F1-ish.... sounds fricking awesome.

The driver from the Evo X is insane, fantastic control. Great video.
That quickly turned into the Evo show. Shows how phenomenally engineered those cars are right out the gate.
That Mercedes SLK was quite the surprise and by far my favorite. Those sparks reminded me of F1, fitting that it has a Judd engine. What an insane car

He lost a good amount of time off the start and in the first few corners. Looked like the front end didn’t really bite until halfway through the course. Cold tyres were likely the culprit, you could see him fighting it and that front end has a ton of grip when it goes I’ve seen the driver of that car absolutely THROW that car into turns. Either the tyres or the setup wasn’t as dialed in, still a fast run, but these EVOs are taking over

The greatest hillclimb event of the year-Hillclimb Masters,where creme de la creme of hillclimb racing gather to battle it out and determine who truly is the best,offered some crazy action and great driving.First Top 15 instead of usual Top 10 makes sense given the machinery present.Fantastic performance from everyone,especially Polish drivers and their Evos,who undoubtedly stole the show,especially Ratajczyk and Lukaszczyk.Forget Goodwood hillclimb,this is real festival of speed.Also,engine type,engine position and drivetrain type are excellent aditions to the stats.Whole video is "chef's kiss" good.Thanks for an early Christmas present.

I felt in love with hillclimb racing this season. I'am lucky to see these cars here in Poland few times trought out the season. I went for 4 races , but next year I'll see muuuch more than this :)

@Aquael_marine Lol no. 4G63T modified to absolute hell is around 10K USD already including all the custom shit in my country...could even easily pass 1080HP

I myself own a 2003 Evo 8 FQ300 and its been a pain in my ass! breaking down, needing new parts constantly and I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of it for something newer like the new Yaris GR, but with this video and seeing how still today in 2021 the old school Evos are still sitting high up the leader boards in these events gives me the inspiration to keep trying and fixing mine! ALL HAIL THE MITSUBISHI EVO!!
Yaris GR is not a bad choice though! But keep the Evo running if you can by all means! I myself own an aging V70R and it's the same story. You absolutely have to stay on top of maintenance and accept that it takes some money, time and effort to keep an aging powerful car running.
@@dr.jillalicecooper2587 There is only one model Yaris GR and it's the current model. Looks are what they are, but they are stupid fun to drive.
@@dr.jillalicecooper2587 I'm not a toyota fanboy at all though, I just feel you don't really know what you're talking about. The Yaris GR is 4WD and is lighter while having similar or more stock power than both cars you mention. How is that less of a car?

500+ hp evo: fast balanced seriously upgraded car
700+ hp evo: maybe the fastest evo in this video
800 hp evo: wow this is absolute beast, real hill climb monster
920 hp evo: daaaaamm, no way
1080 hp evo: (0_0)
That first evo can't even turn man, look how badly understeer it was, that it almost crash onto the barrier

I always thought the Picchio Alfa 4C used a modified AER P07 engine, as it was the engine used in the Picchio P4 original prototype, and looking at the pictures it looked like it was a P07. Has it been changed recently? :)

Perfect video to learn about understeer / oversteer and aero to stick the car on the road.
Stellar video as always. One suggestion I have would be to put the times of each car in the chapter titles, I always forget what the times were and have to go back, if they were in the chapter titles it would be convenient.
