same i love the beautiful landscape, ive been saying this for some time now, f1 should have more tracks with nice scenery like monaco and nurburgringer
@@lemonstrangler They did before. Spa used to have many more trees it was beautiful, like the Nurburgring. Same with Hockenheim and oh my the scenery at Estoril was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
WOW!! That was awesome, I forgot to breath until the end of the video, it's amazing to watch how close these boys get to the grass banks going that fast without a run off in sight..
hillclimb is actually a fairly cheap car sport to get into. Might not be able to buy a car like this but there are classes for pretty much any car. Depending on the location and what safety equipment you need. Buy a cheap car, cage it, throw in a fire extinguisher, get a helmet and race suit and go out to an event.
you can: lowlevel license is not that expensive...expensive is if you crash...for me and my elise it would be a total of about 1000 bucks (+mods, but I think I don´t even need any that are mandatory) to get a seasons permit and then it´s just what each race location charges....that´s the fun...and this year I might just do that, Reitnau (another nice location in CH) is just a few minutes from my place, so I can practice (well, no...cant go faster than 80km/h there at non-racing times)...which is actually a good thing...the roads here must´ve been made by god himself, not to mention the views^^
+RSProduxx I would agree, as at 163 his heart would be beating 2.7xxx times a second. I'm not sure it's healthy for a heart to beat that fast, especially with normal races these drivers take part in, being long extended periods of time. Times that by however races they run a year and that's alot of stress for one organ.
even F1 cars *should* be faster here. if you're used to watch F1 onboard videos you know that the acceleration/deceleration rate is not as fast. Indy looks far more relaxed and less twitchy compared to F1
Not fast at all comparatively. If I'm not mistaken this is just a version of the Lola B99 which ran in F3000 back in the 90's. This would be more on par with F2 today, though if I were a betting man i would put my money on a modern F2 if they were to go head to head. None the less this is a fantastic car with a great pilot behind the wheel. :D
@@wiryantirta I think that that "should" is definitely a "they will have really big problems" Formula 1 cars are definitely not designed to run on mountain roads. First of all, the chassis is too stiff, the suspensions have an excursion that's too small to work on bumps so in corner exit you will see a wheel come up and lose 1/4 of grip instantly, causing understeering; then, you have to consider that modern formula one cars have 3.7m wheelbase, Hillclimb prototypes 2.6/2.7 meters, and those old F3000 around 3m (you have to consider that those F3000 are anyway heavily modified to race on those roads) and that they weight 730kg, just to give you a comparison, an Osella FA30 weight 450 Kg, a Norma M20FC 550 Kg, and yes, wheelbase and weight are just fundamental on hill climbs, 60/70kg at the top level are just a big difference, now imagine 300kg what difference could be. Now also an important point, aerodynamic loads. Yes, an F1 at high speed generates more downforce, but the speed is the key. Formula cars are designed to develop the load at high speed due to the layout of the circuits, in mountain races you need load at medium speeds, so yes, the prototype does it better, and those old F2 cars need big, very big, believe me, improvements to race on that roads, standard wings aren't efficient, and even in this versions are a lot slower than Normas or Osellas. So yes, F1 cars are faster on circuits, and they're designed to do this, you will not race a Dakar or a Montecarlo rally with those cars, and believe me if you don't spend millions to modify them, on-mountain races they can't do much, they simply aren't optimal to do that job. Even VW for his new Hillclimb car has opted to a prototype layout, is just more efficient on Hillclimbs.
Hillclimbing has become my new favourite form of motorsport - challenging tracks, beautiful scenery and a wide variety of cars competing.

They used to use titanium blocks to create the sparks to make races more attractive for the spectators. Even the DTM racer series used this.

Buy a used Mazda Miata for under $3000, put a roll bar in it and you're off!
You can on playstation.....lol
Moto is also a budget route to scary-fast motor-sportin'.
A used gixxer that's only been crashed a couple of times costs like $2000.

Is that a heart rate meter where it says BPM?
+TehCosmicBuizel118 I think the sensor for counting eric's heartbeats was not fastened at his body, it's only displayed.

Good racing technique, running a high speed at every corners
Wrong, I dont wanna ridicule you though....
That Lola is my dream drive. sigh.

Wow!!!!!!is so cool!!
... sorry, what is at the top of the hill that is so important?
The finish line!
gorflunk .. but could'nt they have put the finish line at the bottom of the hill, would be faster & would save alot of trouble?
Allen, this is not 'Nam. This is racing. There are rules.
It's called "hill climb" for a reason

That rear spoiler is fucking phenomenal.
