I remember this game all to well. Not as good a feeling as beating the Packers in the 2014 NFC Championship. It felt like a game we should've lost but God gave us a break. I'm sorry Vikings fans. I can't even imagine how this feels given the Vikings playoff history. We shouldn't have won this game.
My team would go on to the next round and give up like 30 points in the first half.

@@ryanrobertson7218 quite on the contrary the rest of the Vikings team didn't do their job. Should have scored TD's. Blair had to make kicks on a chilly as hell and windy afternoon because of the red zone ineptitude. Football is a team sport, and its hard to pinpoint one guy's one error when the rest of the team sucked in their mission.
Bad Booking the point of a kicker is to have the luxury of not having to drive down field only kick down field. They wait until their offence puts all their effort in to get down field to go in position to get some kind of points. The kickers job is at the end of the drive go in and kick the ball. All those kicks wouldnt be happening if it werent for the offence taking them down field. They didnt need a touchdown they needed a field goal, they drove down field like they had to, sent in the kicker to do his job, score points when a drive ends, and he didnt do it.

Kind of, then I think about the time I went to the Panthers game at TCF that was colder than this one where we blocked 2 punts for TDs and all I can think is "no thank you".

@@bigmoinaz6363 now, with modern building techniques, football is an indoor/outdoor sport, so you're wrong. NDSU seems to be fine winning championships with an indoor stadium, so you're wrong. Cold weather might help you get to the SB, but it will never help you win. In fact, you will put yourself at a disadvantage if you have a team designed to play in cold weather because the SB is ALWAYS played in a warm city or a climate-controlled stadium.
Cold weather defensive football in the Playoffs is what it’s all about. This was a fun game to watch from start to finish!

Blair Walsh, Brian Bostick...so many careers wrecked at the hands of the LOB machine. The Seahawks during those years was playing with the perfect amalgamation of luck and skill. It's been a fun decade for Seahawks fans.

This is the first time I've actually seen the entire highlights from this game (as a Vikings fan).
It's so satisfying to see the Vikings play better than the Seahawks; yet so frustrating to view the final play.
They didn't play better though, most of the positive plays were done by the Seahawks.

The Vikings choking brings me great joy as a Bears fan. Even though we both agree on our hatred for the Packers, a Vikings loss in a big situation puts me in a state of euphoria.
Same goes for Vikings fans with Bears. There haven’t been many opportunities recently with the Bears not making the playoffs very often, but Cody Parkey does just fine. But I think we can both agree that Raheem Mostert rushing for 200 yards and 4 TDs against the packers is better than either of those.

Funny story. I was on winter break and we just so happened to be in Minnesota, so we went to the game, and Im from New Orleans, and we think below 40 is cold. So I had on all of my winter gear. I was freezing ALL GAME. I didn't warm up till like 4 pm that day.

I remember watching this at high school freshman year football banquet. I was wearing a Vikings hat and my head coach looked at me with just a disbelief face.

Last two times the Seahawks won Wild Card Games on the road, the other team's kicker accounted for all the scoring on three field goals. Also, Seattle's defense didn't allow a single touchdown in its last three Wild Card wins.

Was this the same year the Steelers and Bengals had that crazy ass Wildcard game too? Burfict takes out Big Ben, then later the same game knocks AB's head clean off his neck and laid him out? If so, this was one hella bad year for Wildcard games for the home team. Two games, totally unpredictable endings, and home team lost both.
The only time Blair Walsh did the Seahawks a favor. Cost them a playoff spot a couple of years later.
