Just FYI, this Juve team were stacked with players like: Buffon, Del Pieoro, Zlatan, Viera, Zambrotta, Camoranesi, Nedved, Thuram, Cannavaor etc. This to me, was one of the top teams I've seen as a Juve fan, before that whole calciopoli mess. But nagh, this game, I knew something was strange. It was not Ronaldinho, In which I waiting to see that magic of his, it was Messi. Something about that guy was just irritating me, I was like, how in the hell are we getting punked by this little man. I was expecting Ronaldinho, but nagh Messi was different. I am glad my team was part of this great story.

That's because, today, they start doing rigorous training when they are little kids. Back then, players took too many risks with their passing. Passing today is much more conservatives and it's about retaining possession unless you're absolutely sure you're going to score. Passing through multiple defenders is something you see every match. I saw my first live football match at Camp nou vs Osasuna 2005-06 I think, Messi with the number 30, Ronaldinho doing an Espaldinha through pass to Giuly and Etoo was superb. Always will be on my mind.
The scariest part is not that he played this good at 18, many people have had that at such a tender age. It's that he played like this from the moment he touched a ball the first time... Now that we have footage of him from 5 years old onwards, not much has changed in his play style, he was always the smallest kid, he always had the best ball control, he had a resilience unlike anybody and was blessed with precision out of this world. A true natural of the game, you can't teach this, that's why it's close to impossible to attain his level. In many ways he became an inspiration to so many but that's so deceiving because one can simply not learn the things he has done on the pitch, you have to be born for it. I watched Messi in a friendly game. It was Germany vs Argentina in 2012.
I followed Messi since 2005 / U20 World Chmapionship and after that I watched all Barca matches live, re live or the sum ups. So I knew Messi very well and wanted to see his magic in real life and what makes him so special on the pitch. I knew less after the match then before. Because he does things one can't explain. It is really like some magic tricks what he is doing from time to time. There are so many scenes I still have in my mind. I was like in trance when he got the ball and was like how did he manage to do this and that.
His skills are just insane.

Both are absolute monsters. as an example Musiala has the most successful dribblings in a World Cup game. At 17/18, this is an absolutely strong performance.
And of course, the comparison with Messi is unfair. If both players achieve only 80% of the performance of Messi, that would be absolutely sensational.

As a Madrid fan the thing that blows my mind is that every player improved along it's career but Messi was born as is, he played always as it's top level. He had no prime, he had his entire career. And despite he was tackled so bad, he hadn't injuries.
