- In this video, I'm sharing with you my amazing experience of swapping two Rolex watches for a Vacheron Constantin Overseas!!!!!
Yes, I swapped my Rolex Sky Dweller and my Rolex Air King for a Vacheron Constantin.
Was the trade worth it??
I absolutely love my new Vacheron Constantin Overseas watch and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking for a high-quality timepiece at an amazing price. Thanks for watching, and be sure to check out my other luxury watch review videos )))

People always rave about the blue dial on the Overseas, but I think this silver dial is equally as stunning. The contrast between light and dark hues when the light catches it seems more pronounced than on other silver dials.
The silver dial is striking. 01:15 of the review shows the silver dial in all it's glory.
man with taste right here ^
Agree
I have the same VC with silver dial, also sold my Rolex to help fund the VC, one of the main reasons was as you say it flys under the radar and I wear on rubber strap the most and also wear on my right hand. I just sold my Coke GMT and bought the Overseas dual time (2nd Generation) Deap Stream, what a watch! I’m so impressed with the quality, my 4500 has taken a back seat with wrist time. Enjoy you VC!
Wow, we have a really similar journey. I have only worn my VC on the rubber strap.
Beautiful piece. I have this same model (time and date) but the 2gen and I really love it. What I really like about your 3rd gen is the quick release system and the micro adjustments at the clasp. Enjoy your watch in good health!!
The micro adjustment is ingenious on this type of clasp. Although I wear it most on the rubber strap. I never plan on selling this watch. Good health to you to sir!
Well done, just last week I did the exact same thing. Couldn’t be happier.
The VC is awesome. Congrats on your new watch
Finally a watch guy who has a proper look at the watch.
Thanks for the nice comment Stephen!
I like how the Wempe iron walker turned the overseas design into something more subtle, practical, comprehensive, no nonesense, very affordible and sexy wrist candy!
The design is indeed excellent. I'm not sure the VC is affordable though ))
WOW! Spectacular, good choice👍
Thanks! 👍
Best Steel sports watch probably ever made from any brand.....great choice ....next level 👍
It really has it all. I agree with your comment 100%.
Many congrats. VC is so underrated, yet high horology.
I will take the VC over a Royal Oak all day long.
It’s part of the Holy Trinity of watches.
Beautiful, clean , piece.... Love...those Maltese brackets . Enjoy the wrist time
Thanks. It certainly is a watch to be enjoyed.
Such an upgrade! Amazing
I'm naturally moving away from Rolex now. Watch collecting is a journey.
You chose, wisely. I've heard that the blue is more popular and the black more rare, but personally I've always wanted the silver. Such a razor sharp looking dial. Do you still have your IWC 3570? Mine has become one of my favourite watches I've ever had, and definitely my favourite Ingenieur that I've ever owned.
The silver dial rocks. Blue is more popular but a bit too blingy for me. I sold the IWC, Sellers remorse (( I loved that watch but I just had too many sitting in a cupboard collecting dust. Trying to get to 7 watches only (one for every day).
Congratulation! Enjoy it! Boutique lately delivered me a blue dial 4500v. The hue of blue on watch is stunning, yet elegant 😊. Saw the silver dial and black dial also in person in London boutique, have to say the silver dial is more interesting than black.
Congrats to you too!! The blue dial is stunning.
The only downside to the watch is the aesthetic of the bracelet not being properly tapered from the lugs down to the clasp other than that it’s a hell of a purchase piece
The bracelet is outstanding imo. Especially how the micro adjustment is incorporated.
I have mine in silver. I bought it in 2021. I could have bought it in blue but I chose silver. Silver is great and never gets old.
There is certainly no buyers remorse with the silver. I love it, especially on the rubber strap.
@@watchesdreams yea. It goes well with the rubber strap. I like the white one. By the way, it seems that orders for the silver version have ended.
I like the black dial. Best to actually read the time.
Black dial was on my radar. The blue was never.
Congrats! Sky Dweller and Air King are in my opinion among the least interesting Rolex offerings, and the Overseas is indeed one of the very best sports watches out there. My personal pick would have been the blue dial version but I've never seen one in the metal. However, this silver dial is a quite a looker as well! It fits your wrist perfectly.
I tried the blue dial (grey market) on in an AD once. They wanted €50,000 for it at that time. The reflection off the blue dial was very noticeable and made the dial hard to read. But I fell in love with the watch and decided on the silver dial from there on in.
Congrats on this top watch 😀👍
Every little detail on the VC is top notch.
Hi, how comfortable is the bracelet during the whole day of wear? I have a Datejust on the Jubilee and you get spoiled with Rolex superb comfort. Thank you in advance!
I have only wore it on the rubber strap which is very comfortable.
@@watchesdreams thank you just ordered mine same configuration.
I would say the comfort is nearly equal. Rolex bracelets are the comfort gold standard but I really like wearing this same VCO as well. The VCO bracelet is a bit stiffer on the case side and broader, so I would rate it about 98% of the comfort of a Rolex bracelet. Compared to my Explorer II and Jubilee Skydweller. However, the Datejust 41 is still the most comfortable watch to wear.
I have same silver Overseas by selling my Rolex. I am happy and surprised that there were people who travel the same way outside of Japan where I live.
Congrats!! I dont regret swapping my rolex's for the VC for one minute.
I heard that the second hand cannot be hacked in this watch to have the correct second position, is this true?!
Not sure, will check
In the process of swapping out a 39mm Explorer for a Bathyscaphe. Great move on your part.
I think people are getting tired of Rolex tbh. There is sooooo much more out there.
@@watchesdreams I’ve been collecting for 35 years and I do like Rolex but they are far from the best watches out there.
I’m torn between the new generation which is very sleek and stylish and the second generation that I find looks more sporty.I was at watches and wonders and had the privilege of a private viewing of the new green dial variants..stunning.congratulations on what is a beautiful time piece.❤
Thinking about making this trade except with a Pepsi. After owning it for this long, how have the scratches been?
The case is scratched a bit but nothing out of the ordinary.
Wish I could afford it. This is a beauty of high homology.
It sure is
Worn the blue and silver on the wrist. The silver dial is much more versatile and classy.
The blue dial is also reflects a lot of light.
Interesting watch. IMHO watch thieves will know exactly what that is whether on rubber or steel so please cover it up. Being all steel it isn't an obvious as the bi metal sky dweller agreed but that case/bezel is only a VC and therefore is very noticeable. 11mm thick, it looks bulky in videos so that's a surprise. Enjoy it 👍
I concur with your comment. Any watch that is $5000 or above is a target for thieves unfortunately. The watch wears thin IRL.
Congrats! ❤VC❤
Thanks!!
I love this watch. Never owned a VC, but the overseas would probably be my choice if I was to. And the blue imo is very over done. Black or Silver would be my choice. I own a Royal Oak in 37mm. Due to my wrist size it fits great. I wish the overseas was slightly smaller. It’s a watch i would describe as little hype but all substance.
I'm very jealous about the Royal Oak. It is an icon.
I like that description very much
I agree. Wish it was a 39 or 40m
Do they not do white dial any more
Not that I have seen. Blue, Black or Silver
That is my grail as well. Congrats.
Once you get your grail, you wont be disappointed ))
@@watchesdreams I’m around 2 years away from it, but I’ve been working towards it for a few years now so the end is in sight.
Beautiful watch. I am on the waitlist for 222
I could not get on a waitlist anywhere, so bought my VC from a grey market dealer as new.
@@watchesdreams I went to VC website and left my contact information there. Next day someone from VC headquarters called and asked me about the watch I’m interested in. They liked my story and I was told that they will share it with upper management. About 3 days later I got confirmation email that I was placed on the wishlist.
@@cookingwithwatches What a great story. Hopefully you will "get the call" soon ))
@@cookingwithwatches yeah, with boutique buying history, the wait time would be much shorter. Heard from my SA, white wait time can be in half year or so, black dial might ask 2 -3 years. Blue dial seems 6 years as wait period. Good luck
Why is the date window so small
It is on the small side unfortunately
Imho a big step up from both those Rolexes… but a little more “under the radar” than both of them. Very wearable watch!
I agree. I can wear the VC on the rubber strap and nobody looks at it twice. It oozes quality and class.
The Overseas is meant to be worn on a the metal bracelet imo. Rubber & leather straps are secondary
Each to their own ))
Amazing - 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!
I would swapped two Rolexes too - VC Overseas muuuuch better
So true
Is it a 4500v?
Yes
Gorgeous watch...congrats mate
Thank you!
Well done. The sky dweller is monstrously ugly and the Air King is a bit dull. I do own the blue dial Overseas. The watch would be great if it weren’t so thick and I’d lob one mm off the dial size. But really no excuse for the thickness given the specs of the movement.
You got a good deal in My view...
I agree, I'm so happy with the watch )))
I have the 47040/B01A-9093. Love it, but considering the new version or the 1921.
I love the 1921. So unique.
what is your wrist size?
7.3 Inches
i love this watch
It's a special watch
You paid cash on top of two Rolex's and one being a skydweller for a 4500 not even the new one... you got ripped off.
Watch is 19k pre owned now
That's called hindsight. I'm happy with the deal.
Ma786sai Dua marvellous May you relish fully this timeless most elegant and handsome Vacheron Overseas.
Thanks!
Fancy bracelet and silver dial, a bit too feminine for me. Easy to match any outfit.
Try one on, you will change your mind. But maybe with the black dial
The dual time in silver is also amazing.
Not sure if the trade is meritorious, but that Overseas made me wet with jealousy. Good on ya!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
