Hello Alex! Thank you for introducing me to this model. I like the current Overseas very much but I had never been interested in the previous versions. It's done now and I think I enjoy this first version as much as the modern one. Thank you for making us discover little or even unknown models. Keep up the great work! 🙂
Not for me Aleks but that's rather the point isn't it? Continuing to enjoy your explorations of the roads less travelled, that open our eyes to the wonderful possibilities this hobby we share has for us. It's so much more interesting than the Usual Suspects. Very nicely presented as always, keep up the great work!
One thing to consider about the quartz movement on this is it is very well finished, look up the caliber it’s better finished than most mechanical watches and nicer than most things under the trinity.
Would you ever consider making a video on Credor? They have some incredible models and offer amazing value for money on the grey market. A truely underrated brand if you ask me.
Both, quartz and automatic are girard perregaux bazed. I have purchased a white 72040 since 1999, and still very accurate and robust. But the maintenance costs all that years...
@@AleksWatches 650€ only for the movement. If you want polish even more...By the way quartz movement needs service every 8 years, so it is econimic for v.c...
Really are great watches. very slim and well made. Lots of special touches. Only drawbacks are the comfort of the bracelet, which is very stiff and heavy, and the durability of the automatic movement. As time goes on, the bracelet does get a bit looser in the links, which is nice. And this watch feels---SOLID.
How can you describe VC watches as « lame »? What about the Cornes de Vache? The new generation Overseas (from Chronograph to Retrograde Moon phase)? The Historique 222? The craftsmanship is just unbelievable, and you can’t seriously say that it’s inferior to Rolex..
@@mickaelchane-du1469 Well I love certain models of VC just like I only like certain models of Rolex or Petek. Just because I watch has a brand name on it doesnt mean its a great model. Kinda like cars I guess.
How do you like the first generation Overseas?
whats do you prefer, this or 36mm alpine eagle?
Love your off the beaten path watch recommendations, great taste 👍
Thank you! 🙏🏼
I love how you’re not afraid of quartz. High end quartz is awesome 👏
If you neglect quartz then you miss out on a lot of nice pieces.. :)
Most of my collection is HAQ. Just incredible value

If only they would make the modern version in this format 👌

I have no experience of servicing/maintaining VC’s so can you ellaborate? Would be interesting to hear!

Nice watch. But serious OCD for me with the quartz seconds hand not "hitting" the indexes...😁
Just need some fine tuning 😉
Under 10K i would personally pick a pre-owned Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda GT. Such killer dials
Good pick!
love this watch
Love the design. But 7-10K for a quartz seems a bit excessive. I have a Omega Aqua Terra 2518.30, so its no hate towards quartz, but that price.....
Stunning 😍
Like the semi circle VC wording. Hates the bracelet and overseas bazel.
Thoughts on the new 34.5mm version?
Bracelet looks too narrow imo. They don’t seem to get the proportions quite right. Same for midsize AP RO

Oh I owned this watch 😂😂 but I sold this one at $4000 2 years ago
It’s sad isn’t it?
Haha well I have plenty of those stories…… 😅
€7000 for quartz .. some people have too many zeroes in bank account 😅. I don’t think I could ever buy that expense quartz watch
what bracelet do you have on the tank?
Its a Piaget with integrated bracelet. You’ll see it on my Instagram 🤘🏼
Did you experience a lot of hair pulling due to the bracelet?
For the short time I wore it, unfortunately yes
These watches are lame save a lil bit more for AP or rolex guys or best bang for watch is GS or Zenith.

@@Mysteryboy0007 You can't even write Patek name properly. And there's nothing lame about this particular Overseas.
@@storck08I guess theres a reason why you like these watches then. Go buy them!
