    Solid information and beautifully shot. That blue is gorgeous and you’ve done a great presentation 🎊 🎉

    The 4000V definitely one of the best overseas released so far. The bracelet taper was something that I wished for as my 4500V is a bit bulky for me (and the date window is not my cup of tea as well). 100% agree with your thoughts 👍🏼

    Great looking watch! I’m agreed the only let down is the 291/2 look awkward in a dial which is near perfection!

    Really great vid and nice to know about the slight bracelet taper and clasp change (hurrah, annoys me a bit too). 😀

    Beautiful watch and definitely a grail. For someone trying to get into VC, what’s a good overseas model to get that’s on the lower end of the price range / attainable? I’ve always been drawn to the dual time white face but doesn’t seem to hold value very well

      If you're buying grey, I think anything's fine since they're mostly below retail. If from retail, then maybe the blue dial 4500V or 7900V. A lot more people are getting allocations now that watch demand has dropped.

    Great video! would you mind doing one on the 4600V novelty as well please? would love to see how it compares against the 4500V and also if there's indicative price as well since its not yet been stated on official vc website, thanks and cheers!

    Have they changed the blue dial? It looks a lot more metallic and Sunray compared to my 2018 Blue chrono. Which was very deep inky blue - hardly any Sunray. They were rumoured to be made by the same dial manufacturer as FPJournes Chronometre Bleu.

    great looking watch and that bracelet taper is a nice upgrade. i think it would've been better if they kept the WR of 4500v though. great review!

    A few months on, would you have any definitive understanding if straps and bracelets are interchangeable between this 4000 as well as the new 4520/7920 and the older 4500 and 7900? It would seem the rubber is at least.

    Great video!! Separately, what do you think of the 2300v 37mm discontinued VCO? I have a smaller wrist size and also lower budget, hence I’m considering going for that over the other 41mm versions. But I can’t find the real thing anywhere to try on, so hoping to see if you guys have any insight!

    the bracelet taper is a very much needed upgrade. the previous one is just too chunky. However, as much as I like having the option to switch bracelet to rubber, 2:55 this shot is scary horrible as the lug link is completely murdered by scratches. Every time i switch I try to be careful, but it sometimes is hard. And because it's only got 1 contact point, there always a little more play than what you would feel on a Nautilus or a RO. The clip is also sprung quite hard to lock in on the lug screw. When I got my Overseas, the lug screw came off the 2nd day because of the movement of the clamp. I had to send it back to VC for them to apply more glue on it. This certainly wouldn't have been a problem for an RO or Nautilus.

    Yes another very informative video: thank you! I would just want to add one fact: the new retrograde 4000V version is only 5 bar water resistant, as opposed to the 15 bar of the 4500V, which is a real downgrade for a sports watch, don’t you think so? Thank you again.

    • @watchesinsingapore
      @watchesinsingapore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess? 50m screw down is enough for pool use. Hats off to anyone who brings a watch of this value into an environment where you need 150m wr. I'm sure the moonphase is very useful in the water

    • @lefataliste
      @lefataliste ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@watchesinsingapore Well, maybe it’s just me, but if I buy a steel sports watch, I want to be able to take it to swim safely, and I personally don’t feel it’s safe enough below 10 bar of WR and a screw down crown. But I might be wrong or over anxious, or completely crazy to even think of bringing such a watch to the sea. Anyhow, VC has decided to set the 4000V among the other “dressy” 5 bar only Overseas (which include the perp. cal. & tourb.), which aren’t intended to be worn as sports watches (the 15 bar models are the 4500V, the chrono & the DT).

    As you correctly predicted, the updates have made it to the now 4520V / 7920V / 5520V, the latter two getting a very nice 1.3mm thickness reduction too

    • @watchesinsingapore
      @watchesinsingapore  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good on them, although I think they should have made the 4520 thinner too. Quite chunky for a time only

    • @JW-sm5hv
      @JW-sm5hv 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yep, shame it was only a 0.31mm reduction to 10.69mm. Gets it closer to the 4000V in case profile though@@watchesinsingapore
      A 1mm drop would have been amazing - given the 4600V is only 9.33mm.

    Hi, you mentioned the old rubber strap would work for the retrograde, I’m wondering how do you deal with the buckle??
    The reason I asked is because I have an old red rubber strap but my boutique is going to sell me the 7920v, the new reference that’s not on the site yet. I realized I might not have a matching buckle for the old strap. Can you please clarify about the pairing? I would like to make sure both the clasp and the buckle can mount on the new reference🙏🏻 thanks.

    • @wsrobert32
      @wsrobert32 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you ever get an answer here? I have a 7900v and am very interested in some how ordering the new bracelet but the boutique is telling me that it won't work. Though from all I can find on the internet, it seems clear that it will.

    • @awatchboi
      @awatchboi 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@wsrobert32 hey, thanks for reaching out.
      For the buckle, the old buckle from 7900v won’t be able to pair with the new rubber strap because it’s a entirely new mounting mechanism. In this case, we would have to buy a new buckle for the new straps. (New straps, new buckle. Old straps, old buckle)
