I would trade to VC instantly......Everybody have a Rolex....nothing special anymore. VC is next level by far better watch. its all about craftsmanship not mass produced Machine made watches. Nobody cares if its Hacking or not. VC comes with 8 years warranty....probably the best sports watches out there. VC Overseas are very durable....talking from experience....... I play tennis and swim with my Overseas
Stop listening to the Rolex fanboys here 😂. Here in UK the combined list price for your 2 Rolexes is UK £ 16.6k and for the vacheron is almost double at 30k. Sounds no brainer if you fancy the vacheron. Just add a beater chronograph which seems more suited to your job. This hobby should be about what your enjoyment rather than value retention.
Thanks for your input, Cheers - It is amazing how different the pricing is here in the States. My two Rolex are worth about $21K (fair condition) and the VC is $28K (mint) - That is where my artwork made up the difference.
Please don't do it, Cheyne! You'll regret it after a very short time. Believe me! I have them both and would never ever sell them for any other watch. Either I can afford another watch in addition or I let it be. BTW great channel and videos. Your photographies are outstanding. Best wishes from Germany!
Cheyne, your review of the Explorer II has finally convinced me to buy my own one, and I don't regret that decision. So, I might ask you: what will you do if you regret your trade? Most likely the VC will be used until that point in time, i.e. have some scratches,. Therefore, it might be hard for you to reverse the trade. Apart from that, a VC is primarily a luxury item and the tool aspect is added to it. Rolex, on the other side, is primarily a tool watch and the luxury aspect is added to it. Therefore, I would really suggest that you think forward in the direction of "selling more prints to finance the VC in addition to the Rolex's", proposed in another comment.
Oh if it was only that easy to sell more prints. You are right, perfect line about "primarily a tool watch and the luxury aspect is added to it." Great to hear you went for the Explorer II, epic watch. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Instant thumbs up! I say keep the Rolex's and maybe add a pre-owned VC Overseas Dual Time. It may take twice as long to save for it, but I think it's worth the wait. I also like having flexibility in which watch I wear so taking two for one wouldn't work well for me personally. Good luck, excited to see what you decide!
Its funny I'm hearing a lot of that, to save up and get a pre-owned VC, wow that would be a killer edition to the current collection. That might be the "meet in the middle" answer. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Don’t, just don’t please! Not only will you lose two wonderful pieces but you will lose people’s interest in watching your outdoor experiences you put these watches under. A lot of people relate with your Rolex like me, I own them and like seeing you wear the hell out of them 💪🏽. Just save up and get a VC when you deserve it, you do need a calendar function in your collection.
Don't do that. VC is generally for aristocrats not like Rolex that you can dig up mud with. Exp 2 also is only Rolex for SAS. uou will regretted. Always be on some tension, like is my crown ok in water or not now? Don't...
Do it if that is what you truly wanted. Life is too short and anything could be round the corner. You bought those 2 Rolexes at MSRP and with the inflated trade value you are getting a bargain on the VC. The explorer 2 should be easily replaceable at an AD with current market situation should you want it back. The discontinued 216570 should be available used below MSRP.
Cheyne, for what you do and how you use your watches I honestly can't think of a watch or two watches I'd rather have on my wrist....give me $100k to get two watches to use for work and pleasure for the rest of my days and Id pick the Explorer II and Submariner every time. The Vacheron is nice but not even close to the price of losing both watches IMHO.
Very well put, I thought the same way when I got the two Rolex watches. I'm starting think I would regret losing my Explorer II and Submariner Date. Thanks for the input. Cheers
I’d honestly just keep your Rolex’s and save up. If it’s not the one you want, it’s not worth taking the risk and not loving it after you already traded two watches you love. If you need more content, then just ask to borrow watches from friends or sponsors.
It's tempting for sure, but I'd stick with the two rolex watches and maybe save up for something later. I suggest doing what you think is best for you rather than views or content on youtube.
Don’t do it. Keep the Rolexes. I have had all 3 watches. Based on your lifestyle, the Rolexes are a perfect fit. The VCs are more delicate and very expensive to service compared to Rolex.
I say do it.. you can always buy another explorer ii and sub they are pretty cheap now. You could always buy a used explorer ii to trade him and keep your original explorer ii since your built history with that watch. The sub you just got trade that..
Thanks for the input. A lot of people are saying that "explorer ii and sub they are pretty cheap now" Where?? My local watch shop, Bobs watches & Chrono24 still have the Explorer II Polar (fair condition) for around $11,500 and the Submariner Date (fair condition) for around $13,000. These numbers are from all there recently sold watches. Cheers
What we love about whatches is that they are timeless, eternal timepieces. We love to think they will bear the stories and adventures life is about to put in front of us. And when the day comes, these timepieces will be handed down to the next generation to keep writing the story with new scratches. I've come to realise one thing. This was my exit thought (for lack of exit watch). Everytime you swap your watch for a new one, you reset the dream. You restart from scratch (with none of scratches) and will end up with a watch with "less story to tell" at the end of your life. There will always be a better watch or a newer version. That's not what watches are about. If you're worried about the channel, I subscribed in the hope of seeing many real life stories about the explorer II. If I want to see a new watch every week I have another dozen of channels I'm already subscribed to. Hope this helps with your decision.
Your channels is great, your fotos are amazing. But, please do not change the watches. The problem at the Vacheron is, that it belongs to Richemont. So in my opinion it lost its roots - just one brand in the concern. And I think, the most people watch the channel, because it deals with rolex in a cool environment.
That is a hard choice! I would stay with your two Rolex watches. Was looking forward to the long term review of your rolex watch in a few years. You don't see long term watch videos.
Tool watches are my ticket home from anywhere in the world. The USD of watch currency. In a pickle you’ll find rolex steel to be useful in more ways than one.
If you are the tough, rugged, Outdoorsman type, you need to be wearing the Rolex not that fancy dress watch, which you will end up selling because you’ll regret owning
Cheyne, don’t get me wrong I think the VC is gorgeous, for sure!!! But when it comes to your two Rolex’s you won’t find two better tool watches. I think I’m staying with the Rolex’s on this one! I think someday you’d get another opportunity to get something similar or even an Everest! Totally up to you, best of luck on this decision, looking forward to result
The VC is a gorgeous watch, but you are right, I'm probably better off at the moment with two of the best tool watches ever made. Lets see, if VC re-release the Overseas Everest in the future I would be all over that, maybe not to trade, just add to the collection. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Personally i wouldnt. You cant rebuy those memories you've got with your current collection. Yes the vc is an awesome brand and watch, but actually there arent alot of people that own rolex. The rolexes have proven quality in your life and theres still more future (hopefully) to come. Stay with the rolex
I’ve an Explorer 2 with a black dial and it’s a lifetime keeper that I can handover to future generations. That’s the toughness, accuracy and appeal of a Rolex. Plus the Submariner, is one that I’m waiting for, is another icon that has proved itself for you. Therefore, I’d recommend to keep the Rolex watches. From a perspective of the channel, you should look at other opportunities to check out the VC Overseas, than parting with your Rolex.
Thanks, A VC timepiece will hopefully be in my collection soon. Yes my exclusive photographs are for sale in a limited quantity. Please check out my website for more info : cheynewalls.com/ Cheers
You are going to bang around in the rocks with a vc overseas? That is insane. Subscribed and can’t wait!! I want to see the service costs and general freak out from the wis!
I watched a podcast called About Effing Time. Adrian Barker is one of the three guys on the podcast. He said a line that rang very true to me about collecting watches. Basically, he said, as a collector, you don’t have to keep moving up the ladder to more expensive watches all the time and end up selling a basic watch that you really love. If you love the watches you have now, there’s no requirement to spend more. You’ll end up regretting selling the watches you have a connection to. I’ve spent a lot of money on watches and the 3 that I will never sell are my Rolexes. The newest one is a week old and it’s an Explorer II Polar 226570 like yours. The others I’ve had for years. One of them 35 years. I think you know what to do and just need some outside opinions to justify your gut decision.
Yeah that was a great line from Adrian and rings very true. I guess you are right, take out the price tag it does look a bit different. Congrats on your Explorer II, an epic watch. Thanks for the input. Cheers
While it would be awesome to see someone do a field test of a VC, I don't know if it's a rugged enough watch for your lifestyle. I guess that would be the test. I didn't know VC had no chronometer certification or hacking seconds. That makes it hard to justify the price tag for me. If this is close to your grail watch though, it might be worth the try, and you could always trade it for something else down the line if the VC doesn't suit your needs.
Yeah, I was very surprised as well when I was researching the VC Duel Time. I guess I have just been spoiled with the Rolex watches and assumed the VC would having hacking seconds and certification. It would be a fun field test, but you are right. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Don’t make that trade. You have too many memories with your Rolex watches and the style of watches better matches your lifestyle. VC is a member of the Holy Trinity of watch manufacturers, but I wouldn’t trade for that model and overall I have more of a connection to Rolex with their long affiliation to motorsports than to VC.
Keep your Rolex and the VC great watch but in the coming years and all economic issues it will be easy and always its price would be going down in the grey market meanwhile I suggest you give him monthly payment if you really want VC and keep your Rolex’s ✌️
It's never just one watch. Its always just one watch til you buy the next one. I would not do the trade personally. I would keep the Sub and Explorer and have 2 options, but to each their own cause the VC its beautiful but that's thing it's brautiful, dont know how much you are willing to beat it up
Big mistake to trade those iconic and historic Rolex sports watch for that CV. Your guy knows the usage and value of what you have. The VC is a great watch but will also loose a ton of value instantly . Keep you Rolex
The channel is just about my travel, photography and watch collecting journey, if I make the trade or not, its about that watch collecting journey. Cheers
Don't do it, Dude. Keep the two rolex SS sports models. I went down the road you're about to, and it has taken 3 years, and a lot of lost $$$ to get back to having the watches I had before I did. Just a thought.
If I were you I would stick with the Rolex as a tool watch. I think the vc is a bit of a dress watch plus you need the hacking, mind you the vc is gorgeous and i would place it as a edition with the Rolex.
Do not do this trade unless you’re wanting to change careers and become a watch TH-camr. The two Rolexes are by far better together than the VC overseas. It’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not going to suit your lifestyle beyond what the Rolexes already accomplish. Legibility is better on both of the Rolexes. And they’re better to pass down in later years. If you want to continue with watch content there are other models that you can purchase and then resell later that won’t require you trading away the two best watches in the world. Btw, this is coming from a guy who’s already sat with VC and I’m pretty confident I’ll be offered an Overseas. I want one. But I wouldn’t trade those two watches for that Overseas. Why does he want to get rid of it so badly?
I wouldn’t do it. The Vacheron Overseas will not be nearly as tough as the Submariner and Explorer you have now. Plus, having two watches gives you good redundancy in case something happens to the other one
This could be an exciting new chapter for you, some kind of adventure, so I would go for it. Owning a VC will make you feel like such a boss, but if you don't like it and want your old watches back, you can always sell/trade the VC with your current guy or someone else.
@@cheynewalls It's not a bad watch by all means, but you already tested you Rolex watches in very unpleasant conditions, it's not that the VC will break, but both the Sub and Explorer were build with the idea of going trough life along with you, like I said previously you already tortured both trough your outdoor work.
Hey Cheyne, Big fan of the watch videos. Bit of a pickle you’re in there mate. I must admit that I would LOVE to see that VC get put to the test and used in the way that you do, that would be so cool and unique to see. As I am also the same type of watch enthusiast as you, being that I enjoy using watches in the way that they were originally intended to be used. BUT, I feel like you should keep the VC as a grail for now and when the time is right maybe you could expand to a 3 watch collection and keep your 2 trusty Rolex’s that have been so reliable on all your adventures. I think you will miss them if you got rid of them, happens way too often to watch collectors, where they try to rush they’re way to grail watches and sell many awesome watches along the way. Not that I think you are doing that as this is something that has just come up, it seems it may now be the right time. Getting a watch should be a great feeling, not a painful one. Sorry for the long comment but I know how hard it is to make the right call sometimes and I wanted to share some advice. Hope it helps mate, all the best 🤙
Very well put. Not going to lie, it would be so fun to put the VC to the test out in the wilderness and see how it does. But I think you are right, it might not be the right time, a lot to think about. Thanks for your input, Cheers
You’ve got two classics in your collection that can do it all. The VC is imo only an addition to your collection and of top of that it’s not even your exact grail watch. Think of the higher servicing costs you can expect with the VC. I think you will instantly regret it as soon as the trade is done. So don’t do it. If the VC you showed us is your grail then wait and save the money until you have it and enjoy your beautiful 3 watch collection.
@@cheynewalls they can get you a preowned VC for a lot less money. Don’t trade the Rolexes. Ask for Danny Arik. He and his brother Gabe are the owners. Tell them I sent you.
If it’s about the memories don’t trade, don’t even try the VC because you may fall in love. The polar explorer 2 is an amazing watch. But if you can let go of the Rolexes then try the VC. Maybe you won’t like it when you try it and if you do trade.
@@cheynewalls that is true but how often will you get a chance at a VC overseas dualtime. I would say if you like it when you see it get it. You’ll have an amazing story how you got it 🍻
Don’t do it. The Overseas is a good watch, but not good as two quality Rolex watches, especially the new ones! You could always get yourself a Vacheron Constantin Overseas in future if you want to but don’t give up your Submariner and Explorer 2 for it.
I love the Overseas. In fact, I’m on the list for one, so maybe I’ll have one some time in the next decade. But for your work, I really don’t think it’s robust enough. I think you need the durability of a Rolex or an Omega. Also, fun fact: Vacheron only makes about 20,000 watches a year in total. That hand finishing takes time and effort!
Oh wow, only 20,000! Thanks for that info. If you don't mind me asking, did they give you a wait time for your Overseas or are you not kidding about that decade? Thank you for your insight. Cheers
They were vague about timing. I think the exact words were: “That’s not something you can get in a year or two.” But, I’m also asking for the three-hand model with the blue dial, which I think is the most difficult to get. The black and white dials are not as popular. Final thought: have you ever thought about getting a Sea-Dweller 43? I have a no-date Sub, but got an SD43 recently and like it much, much better. If you think the Sub is rugged, the SD43 is a cut above. Would be great for your work. @@cheynewalls
If it is not the watch you really want don’t do it. An almost watch never cuts it in the end. And as as you say; the sentimental value is hard to beat. If you would want it later the Rolex’s won’t lose in value. Save up and trade in the old ones and get what you actually want.
Do not do it. You might regret it eventually. I bought VC overseas previously but it had so little wrist time as it looks so fragile and you are afraid to scratch it. In the end, I sold it and continue using my explorer 2 polar which is able to take a beating and still look as good it was brand new.
This isn’t about the watches - don’t give away your work, it devalues it. Watches for watch is fine, but NEVER give away your work (in full or in part). That’s the most important part of this IMO
Very good, I like that! I wasn't giving it away tho, my two Rolex watches would still only make up about 70% of the value my Collector was looking for his VC watch. My artwork would cover that other 30%. Also this is a very unique situation, I wouldn't do this with just anyone, but this is one of my VIP Collectors that has already purchased 5 of my art pieces. Again, like where your head is at, Cheers
I personally would love to see some of your cool outdoor videos with the Overseas, but i still wouldn‘t do the trade in your position for sentimental reasons. Plus, if you want to grow the channel, Rolex is the way to go!
Great video. Looking around and what people wear, I would say you should trade. Saving up for the VC is also an option, or you trade now and can safe up for a Rolex in half of the time and can rethink if you get a sub maybe a no date or the new 40mm Explorer etc. For the CV I would trade my Explorer 39mm and Explorer II black dial 216570 :) will follow and curious to see whats coming :). never the less all watches are tools and just enjoy each on their own and for sure photography as well :) I go with my Explorer 39 :)
1. Keep your Sub and Explorer 2. Don’t trade them. IMO that would be crazy. 2. Do not buy a Vacheron as a tool watch. The Overseas doesn’t even have hacking seconds. It’s a business watch, not one to ding off a rock or a tri-pod, and way to expensive to service. 3. Sell your other watches (did I see a Breitling?) and either A. buy a Speedmaster and have a perfect three piece, or B. save up for a few years and add an overseas Chronograph.
Very good, you could be right. Yeah I use to have a Breitling, Omega and Panerai, but I have already sold all of those long ago. Now my collection is the Explorer & Submariner with a G-Shock. Thanks for your input, Cheers
@@cheynewalls Man, I love this game. I play it all the time with my own collection (IWC Portugieser Chrono, Tudor Black Bay 58, Rolex Explorer 40, JLC Reverso). Another route could be to sell the Explorer 2 and add the rest in capital towards the Vacheron. A Sub and a VC would be a crazy cool two watch collection. I’m thinking of doing something similar with my collection - just trimming down to the explorer and reverso.
@@DanielSheridan-c7e Good Point a VC Overseas duel time and a Rolex Submariner would be a great little collection. I'm just not sure I'm ready to drop $15K on a watch while losing a beloved watch. I'll have to think about it.
In my opinion "no way" you keep your two rolexes watch and someday you buy a vocheron costantine when you got a lot of money. The rolex is forever watch becouse of their durability and though though caliber and very accurate.
£15,000 retail for the two verses £29,000 for the Vacheron……….. some crazy comments! The VC WILL hold its value better, no brainer if you’re an investor
@@cheynewalls I’ve got the non date sub £7,700, ( date) £8,650. Explorer 11 polar- £8,100. Bought them both from AD’s. £15,800 in total. Vacheron, new from boutique £29,800. The Rolex models are now not hard to get ( with a fair history), and are only worth £4,000 over retail ( I say only, but you know what I mean). Whereas the Vacheron will hold its money. Plus you say your Rolex watches were scratched up a bit. That’s gonna knock a grand off each ! Make the swap 🤷🏻♂️😂👍
@@DavidWilliams-zn2nc Interesting, Might be different in the States (or just in LA), at my local watch shop they have (in fair condition) Rolex Submariner Date $12,000, Explorer II Polar $10,000 and the same VC (mint) for $28,500. My artwork is priced at $5,000. So we are looking at a fair equal trade.
But…. Don’t do it for anyone/anything else, other than yourself, or you may very well regret it. I’m talking from a watch enthusiast who buys with his head as well as his heart! For this and this reason only, I won’t buy Omega, as I don’t want to lose a 1/3 as I leave the store 🤷🏻♂️ All the best whichever way you go 👍
I’m actually on a waiting list for VC Overseas blue dial. I will have to sell two Rolex watches when I’m allocated the watch. I’m not too excited about it. Just make sure the value of the trades is fair. White dials overseas could go below the retail price in this market.
May I ask how long they said the wait would be? Yes, did a lot of research on pricing, my problem is the Rolex watches are so beat up, the VC is mint. Thats why we added the artwork to cover that extra $6,000. Thanks for your input, Cheers
@@cheynewalls I have shown interest about 6 months ago. She told me that the blue dial is very sought after but she has me in mind. The VC salesperson touch bases with me periodically. She is going to call me this week to tell me about the new inventory! I assume that there is no blue overseas in the new inventory. I'll let you know if I am offered the watch.
@@cheynewalls I’ve talked to the VC salesperson on the phone. She went over their new inventory consisting of only four watches. No overseas though. There were Patrimony, 1921 Americane, etc.
Indeed, I'm surprised. On most of my videos I'm hearing about how I need to feature different watches, but this is overwhelming to keep the two Rolex watches. Cheers
Sorry Bob, was trying to make time today to meet for some drinks, but I have to make a last minute trip up to LA to finish up some things before heading out of town. Hope you are enjoying Laguna. Cheers
@@cheynewalls Thanks Cheyne. Have a safe trip. Hung out at Southcoast Plaza. Watch nerd heaven with all the shops. Tried on many watches. Wish list just got longer. All the best.
What a predicament! I’m going to go with what others have said here (It was my thought straight away) - I would not do away with your 2 Rolex’s - the memories are just way too important on them. By now I’m sure a few people associate you with at least one of those. You will also miss them themselves - the robustness, the hacking seconds, the visibility (especially on the EX2), that adventurous feeling you get with them. And honestly, the VC is beautiful but it gives me more of a ‘dressy sport’ vibe vs pure sport. Have you considered exchanging a few more of your pieces for the watch instead?
All great points. I'm getting a lot of comments of how the VC would be a great watch for the channel just not at the determent of my Rolex watches (I'm feeling the same at the moment). But the more I'm researching the Overseas, the more I'm liking it. There could be that "meet in the middle" where I offer my collector another art piece and then cover the rest with a payment. We'll have to see, he already has 5 of my art pieces. Thanks for your input. Cheers
@@cheynewalls on the channel note I dunno. I am kinda in disagreement. I watch your channel because of the content you put out around the watches. BUT the watches could have been anything - Breitling, IWC, Omega, whatever… I love the adventurous nature of the channel and how you really utilize the watches to do what you love. THIS is why I watch your channel. But I can see why others would say - I much prefer the stories and journey vs the actual watch itself if you get what I mean…

If you say the VC Overseas is a watch that can handle what I have put my Rolex watches through, than that is very impressive.
I wouldn’t do it, Cheyne. You currently have two of the greatest tool watches ever & you use them as intended. I like the VC, but it’s beautiful & I’d be inclined to treat it as a piece of jewelry. No way I’d be taking it in the woods!
Make the trade. Purchase another Explorer II and Submariner Date later on down the road if you want to. You obviously have a good relationship with your AD. I wouldn't pass up a chance to acquire the Overseas.
The bracelet system on Vacheron is way better , the the VC silver dial is the best one in person. The sub and the explorer 2 polar combined are an msrp of 18k the VC is 30k with a 2 year wait or have to buy other pieces before it’s offered to you. Complete no brainer to do this!
I'm hearing a lot of that in other comments, could be the best move. Thanks for your input, Cheers
It's tempting for sure, but I'd stick with the two rolex watches and maybe save up for something later. I suggest doing what you think is best for you rather than views or content on youtube.
There is that, maybe a good meet in the middle. Thanks for the input, Cheers
Don’t do it. Keep the Rolexes. I have had all 3 watches. Based on your lifestyle, the Rolexes are a perfect fit. The VCs are more delicate and very expensive to service compared to Rolex.
I'm hearing a lot of that in other comments, could be right. Thanks for your input, Cheers
Well put, Thank you for your input, Cheers
Your channels is great, your fotos are amazing. But, please do not change the watches. The problem at the Vacheron is, that it belongs to Richemont. So in my opinion it lost its roots - just one brand in the concern. And I think, the most people watch the channel, because it deals with rolex in a cool environment.
Thank you Joe and thanks for the input, Cheers
That is a hard choice! I would stay with your two Rolex watches. Was looking forward to the long term review of your rolex watch in a few years. You don't see long term watch videos.

That Everest VC is also my grail 🙂
Awesome watch, hopefully one day they re-release it.
Cheers

Very good, well put. Thanks for the input. Cheers
I would do the trade. That VC is a stunner. The Rolexes are common. Love your paintings . Are they for sale.
Thanks, A VC timepiece will hopefully be in my collection soon. Yes my exclusive photographs are for sale in a limited quantity. Please check out my website for more info : cheynewalls.com/

You are going to bang around in the rocks with a vc overseas? That is insane. Subscribed and can’t wait!! I want to see the service costs and general freak out from the wis!
Its going to be used as a tool watch, if I go through with the trade it will get beat up.
Cheers
VC Overseas are very Durable....you have to experience it and own one before saying anything
Thank you for your input, Cheers
Keep your Rolex and the VC great watch but in the coming years and all economic issues it will be easy and always its price would be going down in the grey market meanwhile I suggest you give him monthly payment if you really want VC and keep your Rolex’s ✌️
That is another options, Thanks for the input, Cheers
It's never just one watch. Its always just one watch til you buy the next one. I would not do the trade personally. I would keep the Sub and Explorer and have 2 options, but to each their own cause the VC its beautiful but that's thing it's brautiful, dont know how much you are willing to beat it up
Thank you for your input, Cheers
Big mistake to trade those iconic and historic Rolex sports watch for that CV. Your guy knows the usage and value of what you have. The VC is a great watch but will also loose a ton of value instantly . Keep you Rolex

12/18/2023 when this channel jumped the shark. How is this even a discussion that isn't specifically for the algo?
The channel is just about my travel, photography and watch collecting journey, if I make the trade or not, its about that watch collecting journey. Cheers
Don't do it, Dude. Keep the two rolex SS sports models. I went down the road you're about to, and it has taken 3 years, and a lot of lost $$$ to get back to having the watches I had before I did. Just a thought.
Thank you for your input, Cheers
If I were you I would stick with the Rolex as a tool watch.
I think the vc is a bit of a dress watch plus you need the hacking, mind you the vc is gorgeous and i would place it as a edition with the Rolex.
Thank you for your input, Cheers
Thank you for that info. Well put and you have some great points, especially with your experience with VC. Thanks again for the input, Cheers
I wouldn’t do it. The Vacheron Overseas will not be nearly as tough as the Submariner and Explorer you have now. Plus, having two watches gives you good redundancy in case something happens to the other one
Yeah, it is nice having two watches. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Good trade. Vacheron is another lever of quality compared to Rolex

Hey Cheyne,
Big fan of the watch videos.
Don’t do that bro

There you go, Thanks for the input. Cheers
Great points, You are probably right. Thanks for the input. Cheers
You will regret as soon as the trade is complete

You def should not take the VC trekking… completely different use case. The overseas isn’t really a sports watch. It’s stunning though
Thanks for your input. Yes, I keep both Rolex watches, but will be working towards obtaining a VC Overseas. Like you said, stunning watches.
Don’t do it. The Overseas is a good watch, but not good as two quality Rolex watches, especially the new ones! You could always get yourself a Vacheron Constantin Overseas in future if you want to but don’t give up your Submariner and Explorer 2 for it.
Thanks for your input
Tool watch vs luxury watch. Trade 1 Rolex and 2 art pieces. Or walk away. Definitely not both.
That might be an options. Thanks for your input, Cheers
If it is not the watch you really want don’t do it. An almost watch never cuts it in the end. And as as you say; the sentimental value is hard to beat.
If you would want it later the Rolex’s won’t lose in value. Save up and trade in the old ones and get what you actually want.
Probably the right call. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Buy a Tudor for work. Keep the VC for other occasions. Simple.
A good plan, Thanks for your input.
Do not do it. You might regret it eventually. I bought VC overseas previously but it had so little wrist time as it looks so fragile and you are afraid to scratch it. In the end, I sold it and continue using my explorer 2 polar which is able to take a beating and still look as good it was brand new.
Like you, I'm nervous its not tough enough, but I'm hearing in other comments it is, I have alot to think about. Thanks for your input, Cheers
Forget about a VC if you want to use it as you have been, it won’t perform under the same duress as those Rolex’s, not even close.
I'm hearing a lot of that. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Good point. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Very good. Thanks for your input, Cheers
I wouldn’t do it, Cheyne. You currently have two of the greatest tool watches ever & you use them as intended. I like the VC, but it’s beautiful & I’d be inclined to treat it as a piece of jewelry. No way I’d be taking it in the woods!
Yeah, I'm hearing a lot of that. You are right, have two of the greatest tool watches now. Thanks for the input. Cheers
Im already swapping my all Rolex to 2 Overseas, and what a different feeling!
Yes, go to best finish and prestigious watch.
Cheers,
Thank you for your input, Cheers
Make the trade. Purchase another Explorer II and Submariner Date later on down the road if you want to. You obviously have a good relationship with your AD. I wouldn't pass up a chance to acquire the Overseas.
Thank you for your input, Cheers
The bracelet system on Vacheron is way better , the the VC silver dial is the best one in person. The sub and the explorer 2 polar combined are an msrp of 18k the VC is 30k with a 2 year wait or have to buy other pieces before it’s offered to you. Complete no brainer to do this! You are wrong about the movement, VC is Geneva triple seal like AP and Patek, Rolex is not!
Thank you for your input, Cheers
