Not at all bro that is the watch that sent me down the rabbit hole landing here. lol you are not alone my friend. The platinum one with the brown strap and blue face... maaaaan.
You are a man of taste :-). I went with the black/green Milgauss as my first Rolex specifically *because* it’s weird and wacky, and the oddball of the lineup (IMO). And it’s beautiful. My only negative is the green tint makes it slightly harder to read than a clear crystal would do.
My Sea Dweller and Sky Dweller were deemed ewe by this guy. lol. I love em both and think they are both classy. He’s correct about the Daytona I want … hard to get one without doing grey market
Not everyone owns one, not everyone can wear it and not everyone recognises it. Most people just know the Sub. Some time ago a friend of mine told me, that it’s obvious my Rolex (Deepsea) is a bad fake because she has a colleague with „the real one“ (Submariner) and it looks very different to „my fake watch“. 😂
I love my Air--King. It's a sleeper watch that you can wear out and not get killed by the local thugs, and zombies.Talk about an everyday wearable watch.
What does that have to do with anything? Are you that insecure you need to try and put someone down for something so dumb? How about Broke guys who can’t afford Rolex watch video and try and make themself feel better by trying to make fun of someone? 🤔
LOVE my YM 40 Rhodium (wearing it now), LOVE my Sub 16610 (rarely wear it), LOVE my Cellini white gold on black alligator, LOVE my DJ36 Jubilee black railroad “Bill Murray,” LOVE my GMTII Pepsi ceramic (wear it often). Would like an Explorer II Polar. My everyday watch right now (especially when sailing) is my new Tudor Pelagos FXD MN - perfect for water sports and a tool watch I actually use. Lastly, I LOVE Casio Pathfinder (blue on blue cloth strap). Been wearing that bad boy for a LONG time
Sea Dweller and Deepsea unnecessary because of the Sub? Please! 🙄 Both are technically better Subs and made for people who don’t have „the wrist of a child“. My wrist is 21 cm and that’s why I love my 136660 Deepsea JC. And the next one will be the 126600 Sea Dweller because it’s a little bit more inconspicuous but also a good size for my wrist.
Kind of agreed with most of your rankings, aligned with your tastes re more simplistic, classy design aesthetic. Was surprised then by your take on the 1908. This watch is pure class. Too big? It’s 39mm. And it has a similar look to the Explorer, which you like? I think they’ll release a Moonphase version soon enough. All the best.
I have had my DateJust 16234 in Steel and White Gold since 2002. I wear it everyday infact i hardly ever take it off. It hasn't missed a beat since i got it and really have no plans to change it. So i would have to rank this top of the tier basically based on me being biased towards it. But if i could i would like to have a DayDate as well, thats my favourite Rolex.
I’m a scuba instructor and have the sliver Submariner, which I wear almost everyday and love. However I don’t like the gold Submariner. It over the top and warned by people that are showing off and not real scuba divers.
Great video. I'm not really a watch guy but I do find them interesting. And while I do watch videos about them here and there, I still don't know much about them. This was a cool video with a lot of interesting info about the different Rolex models. Thank you for making the video. With that said, I stand by my original judgement that the Rolex Daytona is still my favorite watch of all time. Good luck with the channel.
I always see where a person puts the Explorer 1 on their list. You OBviously have class, you this gets a 👍🏻. Your other picks are good as well, though personally I do like the black bezel Yachtmasters . Cheers.
Appreciate the comment lad :) And I don’t hate the black bezel yatchmaster, I just think it’s not much to offer as Rolex has better watches in the same price range that fit the same categories As for the explorer 1, of course that’s bloody class mate, 9.5/10

Perfect analysis. I agree 85%. Just looking at the current watches 100%. The old Milgaus, some of the special versions of the submariner, like the flat 4 and the Pepsi gmt, especially in white gold with the black dial, slightly higher…Daytona, you have to be more specific, anything black and white, panda, paulnewman, big red, much better than gold or rubber. But you are spot on… congrats!
It matches exactly with if I’ve made my own ranking video. What I really loved is your bold approach of cancelling some heavy names despite TH-camrs promoting them a lot! 👌🏽
Bought a GMT in 1968. 1st year in grad school. Making $400/month. Not because of Mr. Bond, but because of Ms. Galore. I never thought anyone could replace her, until I saw Mrs. Peel driving her Lotus. My 2nd and 3rd choices - Cartier Tank, Patek Philippe Calatrava. And my sentimental favorite - given to me by my father - Gruen 21 Precision, 335, Park Avenue
Wonderful..thank you for your review, excellent! The long long history of Rolex maintaining their qualities and standard tho, according to many sources I read & this review are incredible..thank you for the list 👍
One thing i have come to appreciate with Rolex,is that just about every watch they make, apart from the cellini line, have a family resemblance. The lug profiles and case backs are all very similar.
Back in 1991 I bought a brand new Rolex datejust it is the best watch I ever owned it just recently stopped running after 33 years. I just recently put it in the shop to get it fixed I really think it's worth getting fixed it's a wonderful watch. Hopefully it'll last me another 33 years without breaking down.
Great content, just a small comment, sir Edmund Hillary had the Rolex explorer with him when he reached the summit except he didn't have it on his wrist, by his own acknowledgment he was actually wearing a British watch (Smiths)
Yup! Never said it was first to the summit or anything, I just said it was designed for the climb of Mount Everest! But absolutely correct, also as a British lad I actually own a couple smiths, mainly a smiths empire and a 9ct smiths de-luxe with some lovely patina! Gorgeous dress piece
Something never mentioned is that Seadwellers are incredible if you engage in extreme watersports, such as surfing, cliffdiving, whitewater, etc. Its not so much that you will be going so deep, but the extreme pressure spikes you will experience, as well as the higher chance to get hit pretty hard. Ive broken multiple Subs, but never a Seadweller, and for that, its my favourite.
You’re right, your opinion is absolute and just! My sub (124060) is my favorite watch and my wife loves her 1991 gold Datejust with Champagne dial, diamond index, gold jubilee bracelet. Two absolute classics! Great video!
Batman for me. Tried many GMTs and Subs. Own a Batman, it always rekindle my love for GMT (2 tone bezel) when I look at it. The contrast is much more “alive”. With the half black bezel it brings me class and earnest. Another half blue bezel brings me fun and inner joy through the good times as well as the bad. Most importantly I can wear it formal and informal. 🖤💙
Fair enough as it's your opinion 👌 ... I would defo put Yachtmasters' range above the Sub range just because to me... Subs are boring over hyped. Everyone's has one 😂 That is one of the reasons why I got the YM Rhodium dial instead of a black sub date. The fit and finish are actually better for my wrist 🤌 Plus, who wears a sub to actually go diving in this day and age is mainly to flex, so ya might as well get a Yachtmaster 😂😂😂
Well modern Rolex as said isn’t my thing I like vintage, but I understand! I find sporty stuff not quite me I’m more of a dressy person because I generally dress quite formally As for the diving part let’s be honest everyone looking for 200-300m of water resistance doesn’t actually need any more than 100m most of the time xD
@WatchConnoisseurClub Fair enough I understand 👍.. yeh my lifestyle is more sporty or street wear clothes dont tend to wear formal clothes 🤣 For diving I just wear a Gshock or nothing at all plus as what you said never mind 100 meters 10 to 20 meter dive/swim is enough 🤣🤣🤣
Milgaus is above Oyster Perpetual in terms of quality. It is on par with the sports watches. It also has oyster perpetual itself (literally writtten in the dial). Stop caping 🤷♂️. Milgauss is the best rolex
Dear Rudi, I think I will agree with your choices, having owned a 1016 Explorer since 1973, I believe it is the most beautiful in my opinion......I do feel they really downgraded the look when they reintroduced......51 years and still loving the old gal....by the way, Ian Fleming based James Bond's Rolex on the Explorer and also owned and wore one himself...... Bravo, Paul in Florida
Even though the Sea Dweller is big, it’s the most comfortable watch I’ve ever worn. It works well for me. I always wanted a Milgauss for the green crystal. Had a GMT II and it WAS a great travel watch. Wish I still had it. Would argue that the Navitimer is the world's most recognizable chronograph.
The Seadweller Deap is my fav. The Sub looks tiny on me, I'm 6'3" and anything under 42mm looks like it was made for someone else when it's on my wrist. In any case, your view on these watches seem pretty valid to me, nice work. We have totally different perspectives on watches I think, I only do tool watches, mostly diving. I want engineering and masculinity if it's on my wrist, beauty, but not elegance.
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!MAMACOO watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.

I’ve got a Grail (Daytona), Classy (Datejust 2) and Incredible (GMT2)….but I subbed the Sub for a Palagos39 because it’s less chunky..and want to move on to a Ew No (Yacht master 40 blue dial) because I think it’s quite handsome. More importantly it will allow me to close the Rolex segment of the collection and move on in my watch journey.

I have been struggling with your video and whether or not to comment. The first question I want to ask is what experience do you have to be giving an expert subject matter opinion on such a broad spectrum of this brand? I read your “about” section under your profile and cannot see anything that warrants your comments! The next question I have is, do you own any of these watches or have you tested and evaluated any of them for an extended period of time? Question three, if not do you work in a Rolex Boutique or an AD where you handle these watches on a daily basis? One thing that I can be a subject matter expert on is that everyone has an opinion! Some are good and some are bad and all are definitely subjective! The best are positive opinions that are objective to your personal preferences because not all of us are you! All of the timepieces here have something to offer for many different people and will look different on their wrist. There are others that only use the timepieces as a tool and others who will use them as a status symbol and most of all make someone very happy to just have. Now, I thought your video was very well put together! Your appearance was sharp and your speech was very articulate and easy to understand! Keep working on this because you have intrigued me enough to follow your channel and see how you grow with experience. Thank you in advance for reading my remarks and I truly wish you much success!

Enjoyed the video. How many of these have you actually owned? Having ridden this rock around the sun for a few years, I have leaned that one’s opinion changes with time and maturity; and also with familiarity. Actually owning and wearing a few of these watches for a few years, might change your opinion. Fair enough?
Well as it’s Rolex the finishing and reliability are top notch - so all the watches are very good. The worst Rolex is still a Rolex, as for the first part I have owned a few not for a long period (I grey market deal with friends) and for those I haven’t owned I have either personally handled friends stock, or asked owners personally! I’m sure if I wore one of them more often it would move up, but for now that’s not the case
Have you actually seen an Air King (or any of these watches) in person? I had someone come by my place of business today wearing an Air King. Could not take my eyes off that watch. Classy, elegant, and well proportioned. The green was noticeable, but didn't shout. It was spectacular.
Lot of good opinions- I agree with almost all - however remember everyone (luckily) has different and unique tastes. Nobody can beat the GMT Master 2 in steel - Because I have one 💪

Exactly! Nothing wrong with that, if we all liked the same thing it’d be pretty boring wouldn’t it?
I'm the only person in the world that thinks the 1908 is class.
Its poor mans class since AP did it first and better.
Not at all bro that is the watch that sent me down the rabbit hole landing here. lol you are not alone my friend. The platinum one with the brown strap and blue face... maaaaan.
The Milgauss is the only Rolex I'd get, it's weird and wacky but very unique. It's fun.
Not just a bit unique then 😂
You are a man of taste :-). I went with the black/green Milgauss as my first Rolex specifically *because* it’s weird and wacky, and the oddball of the lineup (IMO). And it’s beautiful. My only negative is the green tint makes it slightly harder to read than a clear crystal would do.
The Sea Dweller is larger than the Submariner and better looking.
And not everyone has one.
13 year old with tiny wrist makes Rolex video.
Nailed it
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well said. :)
What does that have to do with anything? Are you that insecure you need to try and put someone down for something so dumb? How about Broke guys who can’t afford Rolex watch video and try and make themself feel better by trying to make fun of someone? 🤔
@ Hahaha sadly I will never meet you in person as it would be mildly entertaining to watch you piss yourself.
Been wearing that bad boy for a LONG time
I dont know many things, but i do know this. Every single rolex fits in one category once its yours - the I love it category.
Completely agree with this
Sea Dweller and Deepsea unnecessary because of the Sub?
Largely agree except for the yacht master. A better version of the quite boring uninspired Sub. Stunning watch.
1908 is stunning
Spider-Man knows what he is talking about 👍🏻
I have had my DateJust 16234 in Steel and White Gold since 2002. I wear it everyday infact i hardly ever take it off. It hasn't missed a beat since i got it and really have no plans to change it. So i would have to rank this top of the tier basically based on me being biased towards it. But if i could i would like to have a DayDate as well, thats my favourite Rolex.
Daydate is my fave too, especially vintage stone dials!
Rudy. You clearly are a small man. Some of us need a 42 so it doesn’t look like we are wearing a little boys watch
Great video, not sure why you only have 2k subscribers!!
Really appreciate the kind comment! Have a good one
Great video showing the watches and their history! Really substantiated your ranking. Subscribed.
The Sky Dweller is much prettier in person and looks great with beautiful proportions. Should tank much higher!
Agreed..
Videos don't do any of these justice
I’m a scuba instructor and have the sliver Submariner, which I wear almost everyday and love. However I don’t like the gold Submariner. It over the top and warned by people that are showing off and not real scuba divers.
You don't use a dive computer?
@@exnihilo415 How did you come to that conclusion?
"I have a mountain bike." "Oh, you don't have a driver's license?"
@@bloodymarvelous4790 It’s not a conclusion, it is a question. You can dive with or without a dive computer, after all.
Well, that’s pretty accurate to my taste. Wearing my 36 mm Explorer right now. Cheers!
Perfect watch, enjoy it!
Nice job ! I enjoyed the presentation and agreed with most. Keep up the good work !
I always see where a person puts the Explorer 1 on their list. You OBviously have class, you this gets a 👍🏻. Your other picks are good as well, though personally I do like the black bezel Yachtmasters . Cheers.
Appreciate the comment lad :)
And I don’t hate the black bezel yatchmaster, I just think it’s not much to offer as Rolex has better watches in the same price range that fit the same categories
As for the explorer 1, of course that’s bloody class mate, 9.5/10
What’s your view of the ice blue 1908 just released ? Thank you
He has never held one in his hand. Neither a gold one nor a platinum one, just like with most of the other models that he claims to be able to give an expert opinion on. He is a show-off. So what’s the point about his „opinion“?

36mm DJ black face with a smooth bezel on an oyster bracelet for me. Timeless and super comfortable to wear. I’d never be without it.
Underwhelming
Smooth bezel looks.........woeful!
you're one of the only watch youtubers that is objective about a watch's subjective style/looks. great ranking
much appreciated lad!
Great video. Liked and subscribed!
Great recap. Loved the review.
And my sentimental favorite - given to me by my father - Gruen 21 Precision, 335, Park Avenue
did any of the pussy galores flying circus pilots have a watch on?
Wonderful..thank you for your review, excellent! The long long history of Rolex maintaining their qualities and standard tho, according to many sources I read & this review are incredible..thank you for the list 👍
One thing i have come to appreciate with Rolex,is that just about every watch they make, apart from the cellini line, have a family resemblance.
The lug profiles and case backs are all very similar.
Love your channel with so many stellar watches! For me the MAMACOO’ watch is my favorite. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.
Love your review and presentation.
Much appreciated!
Nice one, and that's close to what I myself think ... I've always loved the Day-Date look, since I was a kid.
I'm not being rude, but neither is 'waterproof.' They are 'water resistant.'
Agree with your take on every watch. Well done mate
Watched this wearing an Explorer. Feeling classy
Agreed, The deepsea is embarrassing, the Yachtmaster ugly, I have a GMT Master, my grail watch is a Daytona, your ranking is spot on.
Much appreciated!
I'm not a huge Rolex fan, but I really like the Yachtmaster 2, although it is on the larger side. My favorite is the Daytona, though; dazzling.
Absolutely brilliant review, fair and accurate IMO. Looks like I need to get myself a Dayjust next.
No diver uses a wristwatch. They use dive computers.
And as a backup to the computer, you might bring a rugged 200m Casio or Timex; as I do sometimes.
Plenty of divers use wrist watches. Some even use solid gold Rolex Submariners.
Those aren't divers they are wealthy wanna be divers. Serious divers are diving 2 high quality dive computers for redundancy @@CorkKNIFE
Fair enough as it's your opinion 👌 ... I would defo put Yachtmasters' range above the Sub range just because to me... Subs are boring over hyped. Everyone's has one 😂
That is one of the reasons why I got the YM Rhodium dial instead of a black sub date. The fit and finish are actually better for my wrist 🤌
Plus, who wears a sub to actually go diving in this day and age is mainly to flex, so ya might as well get a Yachtmaster 😂😂😂
Well modern Rolex as said isn’t my thing I like vintage, but I understand! I find sporty stuff not quite me I’m more of a dressy person because I generally dress quite formally
As for the diving part let’s be honest everyone looking for 200-300m of water resistance doesn’t actually need any more than 100m most of the time xD
@WatchConnoisseurClub Fair enough I understand 👍.. yeh my lifestyle is more sporty or street wear clothes dont tend to wear formal clothes 🤣
For diving I just wear a Gshock or nothing at all plus as what you said never mind 100 meters 10 to 20 meter dive/swim is enough 🤣🤣🤣
Although I don't agree with all of your choices, I see you put both of my watches in the Classy tier.
This vid is why children like Rudi know nothing about class
Milgaus is above Oyster Perpetual in terms of quality. It is on par with the sports watches. It also has oyster perpetual itself (literally writtten in the dial). Stop caping 🤷♂️.
Milgauss is the best rolex
Seconded, for reasons ;-)
Dear Rudi, I think I will agree with your choices, having owned a 1016 Explorer since 1973,
I believe it is the most beautiful in my opinion......I do feel they really downgraded the look
when they reintroduced......51 years and still loving the old gal....by the way, Ian Fleming
based James Bond's Rolex on the Explorer and also owned and wore one himself......
Would argue that the Navitimer is the world's most recognizable chronograph.
best designs in my opinion are the sub and datejust, my favorite are the ones from the 80s/90s
Much better outcome than I expected.
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!MAMACOO watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
Good video. Owning a Submariner 1680 I bought new in 1976 I mostly agree with your rankings.
Who cares what this kid with 3.3k subs thinks? Nobody. He's not part of the luxury watch target market, he's just a content creator and possibly watch flipper.
Nice video but you must be about 5’7 and 145 lbs to think that anything over 40mm is too big 😂😂
I would say more like 130 pounds !
Might have already been mentioned but Paul Newman's Daytona Rolex went for auction and sold for over $17 million !...
I'm 1,99 m, slightly below 100 kg with big Hands.
The submariner looks like a kids watch on my arm. I would always prefer to have a 43 Seadweller or a 44 Deepsea. I'm actually waiting for both.
Don't dismiss these beautiful watches, just because they are too big for YOU.

Always strike me how a crowd of « have never achieved much » feel entitled to spread their personal preference as if it is watch dogma! 😂😂😂
Outstanding video.I have to go with the MAMACOO, especially with that green dial as my favorite
I don't get the rolex thing they all look the same and have ok movements the best rolex watch is the one with the zenith movements
Rolex is overhyped.
Would do you think of the datejust in 36mm with a black Diamond dial, fluted bezel, and jubilee bracelet. Where would you rank that
top
I’m 5 minutes into this video and I’m starting to believe this guy doesn’t actually like Rolexes.
Perfect list! Datejust is literally the day date but better value.
I 100% agree with your ranking 😅
this was really fun to watch !
Really appreciate it and glad you enjoyed!
Meteorite Pepsi should be Grail tear
@@Sams911 I do agree with that! However we’re ranking the models not the references, otherwise the list would have hundreds of watches to rank haha!
Some watches in higher tiers have specific variations I would put lower, and some that are lower have specific variations id put higher!
Totally agree with your list although personally I would rate Milgauss and airking as slightly better than “It’s OK”..Honestly Explorer, OP and date just are the ones which most can afford and will settle in for😂
I have been struggling with your video and whether or not to comment.
I don’t agree with his opinions (AT ALL) but he does seem to have done his research.
The 2 I like the most is the Datejust and 1908. Yellow gold and black dial and strap looks classy to me. Eh. Everyone’s entitled to their opinions. Great video 👍
Whahahaha! I kinda like the Yatchmaster but I dont like the YM2 at all. Not a lot of watches I would actually buy or want to own but I think the Milgauss and the Explorer. You are right about the Milgauss though. Overpriced for what it is. Hope you have a great day!
And you lad! Have a good one :)
You’ve been my loyal for a while, what do you think about the editing of having a watch on screen with me, think it’s better then just me talking? Also I don’t hate the ym1, but I don’t get the point of it when the sun is better, fits the same categories and is cheaper, that’s all
Anyways have a good one lad! Another vid coming soon :)

I own every single one of these watches. But every day I wear both the YM and YMII on both wrists.
9:50 some truth there. "unless you have a lot of bucks to spend on useless stuff you don't want" kinda the whole rolex thing
I agreed with every watch. I thought it was going to be a crap list, but it wasn’t. Good job.
Have you actually seen an Air King (or any of these watches) in person? I had someone come by my place of business today wearing an Air King. Could not take my eyes off that watch. Classy, elegant, and well proportioned. The green was noticeable, but didn't shout. It was spectacular.
Lookin good man! Keep it up!
And you my main man
Top quality video, a Rolex level
Lot of good opinions- I agree with almost all - however remember everyone (luckily) has different and unique tastes. Nobody can beat the GMT Master 2 in steel - Because I have one 💪
I love your video, many thanks for explanations! Got a date just and fits my personality too!
Datejust is 👌🏼
Which ref, year and dial?
