Bravo!!...Thank you Stephen & Queen Taylor for this magical reaction to The Goddess Lara Fabian...I love when you react to her because I know you love Lara...A big hug for you guys!!❤
The most amazing female singer live ❤. She wrote the words , the melody is composed by an italian composer. She was the first to sing it ! Then every one started to do covers off this song ❤. She sings also this song in italian.
This song (music) was written in 1936 attributed to Tomaso Albinoni , lyrics by Lara Fabian, Rick Allison & Dave Pickell. First released by Lara Fabian in 1999. The last 2 songs you reacted to were Love by Grace (10 months ago) and Je T'aime (11 months ago).
Gracias!
Lara wrote the lyrics to this song. She originally wrote it in Italian then decided to create an English version She is fluent in 5 languages but sings in many more languages
Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance). But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Julie Anne San Jose, Charice Penpengco, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , … They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love. th-cam.com/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/w-d-xo.html Her italian version is also amazing. A famous italian version: th-cam.com/video/qf7xcMN-TYI/w-d-xo.html Or you can check her recent excellent renditions: - in Zagreb, late april 2024 (italian) : th-cam.com/video/06WOD2AxTTM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pXrU2vQ1Lrca2PTs - In London, Royal Albert Hall, with Hauser playing cello, on May 9th 2024 (english): th-cam.com/video/ikWpOJT4y9g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WSoA4RXiw-TMmRNv
Excellent exposition! This is, perhaps, my favorite piece of music or at least tied with a couple other gorgeous classical pieces that just haunt my soul. I've heard several lyrically different pop versions and I like them all of course, because the MUSIC is so stunning. Lara's Italian version is very good and I also quite like Sarah Brightman's version titled "Anytime, Anywhere." But vocally I love Lara's the most.
Thank you, I didn't know Sara's version, she is an interpreter that I adore. I'm Italian and I'm always sorry to know that abroad people have a limited idea of Italian music, we have a high production and innovation capacity, but unfortunately it's not known. I don't want to be parochial, music has no borders because it's emotion, I just want to say that it would be nice to expand the knowledge. Sara is fantastic and I love her classical version but also her gothic version, a fascinating and sublime music.
It's LARA who wrote the Lyrics in Italian and then rewrote in English. So she sung first the song before the others covered like Dimash. Thank you for your reactions and please react more of Lara's performances .
🇨🇦 It is called a Masterclass Performance ! I have said this many times before, but if you listen to anything by Lara, you will hear her sing each syllable in each word, and every word in every line of lyric, clearly and completely to the end, no matter which language she is singing in ! I recommend "Quedate" in Spanish next ! 🇨🇦
I'm close to 70 years old and I can honestly say I've never heard a better singer in my life. I've never heard anyone extract as much feeling and emotion from a song. She's an incredible artist.
The original tune is from a classical piece called "Albinoni's Agagio". Lara then took that, wrote the lyrics and made this song from it. Other's then covered the song.
Welcome back! Lara is at the top of my list favorite performers/singers next to Barbra Streisand. Side note: You've reacted to Morissette Amon, why not check out Gigi De Lana & Gigi Vibes who recently completed their US/Canada tour and are now in Australia. She had over 2.2 million subs. Then there is Lori Holub also 20 whose cover of We Only Just Begun by The Carpenters will surprise!

Hey, you're both doing? Lara is the Queen of resonance, breath control, phrasing, the best composer and stories teller. That's why she's known as The Ring. Trained to be an Opera Singer for 10 years, but decided to compose and performe Pop songs. Fluently in 4 languages and has already sang in 12 languages perfectly. You should react to her singing Adagio 2 months ago with the Cellist Stjepan Hauser, she also sang Caruso with a new version Higher than usual, at the same concert. It was outstanding!!! Controlla questa fantastica canzone TO LOVE AGAIN dallo stesso concerto FROM LARA WITH LOVE . Siete fantastici ragazzi, ciao e tanti saluti dall'italia.
Lara wrote the lyrics on this old classic music composition in English and in Italian. I like more the Italian version. The Italian language is more colored language. This song is her song and s been covered by many singes in the world. Lara, always magnificent, always sublime and heavenly, in any language she sings!!! The the only thing that stands out about Lara is her very beautiful, very strong but always velvety tone and sound of her voice in the whole 4.1 octave range. No vibratons in her voice Her emotional and captivating performances ...The effortless singing even in the high notes. Lara's performances can be called minimalistic. Fabian does not have backup dancers. She wears a strict dress code, light makeup, no flashy fingernails, and usually not one or a minimum number of pieces of jewelry on stage. Her unique very strong but velvety 4.1-octave voice (lyric soprano) whit an exceptional nearly endless breath control what results in the seamless connections of words and phrases of the lyrics, the emotional and expressive performances, that are the only things that the audience receives and what captivates the audience A little bit forgotten, Lara's fist big hit in Canada , France and Europe. Here her first TV performance in France th-cam.com/video/XYBNk6dgpgQ/w-d-xo.html
For a very different Lara, but a video that show how much she feels the song she is singing, try "Requiem Pour Un Fou", a duet she did with a French Superstar called Johnny Hallyday. There are several versions of it, but go for the one with English subtitles (on a youtube channel by someone called Kuzco Pacha).
I love Laura n try see Putri in her...Putri covered broken vow when she was 12...but its only on IG as short....she did it well and wish can cover a Laura Fabian song sure should would do it well😊
xxx-FYI: She’s absolutely beautiful at 54 - LARA (not Laura) Fabian (Fah-be-an) with links: Lara Fabian is a Canadian (Québécoise) of Belgian birth and Italian/Franco/Flemish cultural heritage. Lara studied piano, composition, and voice at a Brussels Conservatory for a decade. Lara is a full lyric soprano with a vocal range that spans four octaves (A5, B4, BB4, C3, C5, C#5, D5, E5, EB5, F5, F#5, G5) in live performances. She is multilingual; she speaks Italian, French, Spanish, and English and has sung in 12. Lara, who describes herself as a songwriter/singer, creates a high emotional connection with the listener. She has a discography of over 400 songs, has sold over 25 million records, and plays at sold-out venues worldwide. She lives with her husband and daughter in Montreal, Brussels and Sicily. I’m a ‘fan’ because of her high level ‘EQ’ (emotional intelligence) expressed in the text of her songs. La raison pour laquelle je suis un « fan » de Lara Fabian est son « QE » élevé, qu’elle exprime dans le texte de ses chansons. Some info for you I am from Montreal ,Quebec, Canada I just attended a Lara Fabian concert in July of 20024. Yes, she was on a World Tour. I do not have the words to describe that experience because for 2 weeks after the fact someone had to pinch me to wake me up! She is a Master Class, singer, storyteller, artist and more. I have watched your reactions for over 2 years and have always felt comfortable with your dialogue and your hearts. I have to say something that a lot of people do not know. The need to put the name Celine and Lara in the same room rubs people in the wrong way. There is a history between these two artist. I am able to say with a certain amount of local authority because both artist live in our city Montreal ,Quebec .Celine was born in a small town close to Montreal (population 1.3 million) Lara came to Montreal at a young age to hone her skills. Although she was born in Belgian yet, she has a Canadian citizenship. Long story short, both women had Sony contracts, both were great but only one would follow the Hollywood fame and the other followed her heart and soul. It was Sony (big business) that gave Lara a hard time. they wanted her to change her style ;she refused ! Europe was her obvious choice and I thank God she made that choice rather than become a robot for Sony Records. There is much more to this story but it's not mind to share. I can say Lara suffer for the wrong reasons yet, she endured and became a force to reckon with. Her story is a Fairy Tale; a movie that will capture the world hearts. She is a fighter and love by all who know her music and appreciate her gifts and talent.
'.. _commanding_ stage presence..' '.. _commands_ [your] attention..' A word used often in association would be 'captivating', as you guys well know ;-)
If I had to name whom it is I consider the finest female singer of this century (to date), Lara must be the lead contender. Amongst male singers/instrumentalists/composer-arrangers, it must be Jacob Collier. I'd love to hear them collaborate on a song.
She wrote the lyrics, Dimash made a cover. She first wrote it in italian which is one of her two native languages.( father is belgian and mother sicilian). She is fluent in english and spanish also. She sings in twelve languages in all.
Check out a recording of Adagio, the 2nd movement of Samuel Barber's String Quartet, Op.11 written in 1936. The first recording of it was by Arturo Toscanini and the NBC Symphony Orchestra in 1938.
Thanks for playing Viola. Love it! Check out Emma‘s new song “Dancing on the Stars “. New song specifically for Emma. She has been on a world tour with Andre since the first week of January. Back now. Such a beautiful song. I loved Voila . “Dancing on the Stars“ is as great and will reck you with tears. Don’t skip Andre introduction and Emma’s personal thanks to all for making her dream come true!! What a great little girl. Released this month. She’s 16 now absolutely fantastic performance!! 4.7 million views.
il vaut mieux rester sur ce concert où l'interprétation de "je suis malade " est magistrale et incomparable. Le duo quant à lui était affreux à entendre
Adagio means 'Slowly". I believe the music is a very old Classical piece to which Lara wrote lyrics. I know you've heard this. Just wanted to remind you. Welcome back. Cheers.
a song by Lara about her daughter and the anguish of being a mother ‘le coeur qui tremble" th-cam.com/video/NdTfhnWNGsw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GxEt5EGQN4frBc-c I open the door And feel my hand on the knob You never know What might happen to you You know outside men fall With the night I'd like to protect you When the cats are grey I'll give you the name Bright city streets Keeping you out of dark corners The dead ends, the fools Their arms outstretched too fast Like gnarled branches I'd so much like to avoid you All these empty promises But you'll do As you see fit You'll see No story is like you Don't blame me If I do more than I should It's in spite of myself My soul will always be on the lookout And even together My heart will always tremble You'll take boats Waiting for you to return You'll take trips That will want to turn short But wherever you go I'll keep your departure Your departure in my heart Like the last impact My child you will take Your life with your arms I'll spend mine Watching over you Today you fall asleep In the next room And I pray that nothing will separate us But you'll do As you see fit You'll see No two stories are alike Don't blame me If I do more than I should It's in spite of myself My soul will always be on the lookout Even when we're together But you'll do As you see fit You'll have A little bit of life Don't you worry If I can't sleep in peace It's in spite of myself I'll always have my soul on the lookout And even together My heart will always tremble
The music is a mystery, created either by the Italian master Albinioni, or by a man named Giozotti. In any event, I'm not rure. I am sure that Lara wrote the lyrics in Italian and English. She did a duet version of Je Suis Malade with Slimane in the pre opening ceremony in Paris...The vocals were spectacular (but probably not live) but the acting was rather weird, with too many smiles for such a depressing song.
0:39 Lara's name pronunciation is so controversal, because in Belgiun and Italy they pronounce very differently. ◙ Parabéns pelo vídeo. Sou fã da Lara.
Terminology is "stage presence".... Add the vocalist that can stand tall beside her is most definitely be Floor Jansen. In fact she has a version of Adagio up on her website. She did it in tribute to Lara
A chaque fois je pleure, tjs pareil! Elle est Incroyable, la Meiy❤

Hi, finally you're back. We really missed you & missed your comments on Lara Fabian.
We hate being away for so long!
But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version:
it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions.
She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration.
This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Julie Anne San Jose, Charice Penpengco, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , …
They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love.

Her italian version is also amazing. A famous italian version:

bonjour, vous êtes une vraie bible sur notre chanteuse (Queen, euh, plutôt) Lara Fabian. bravo pour toutes vos interventions
Perfect ❤
Welcome back, with Lara you don’t need captions, she sings with so much emotion and her pronunciation is spot on that you understand every word
100%!
So very glad to see you guys again...and yes, I definitely enjoyed it!
So glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Lara is the Best..👍
Lara's song....the original and the best.... the others are covers !
Very cool reaction. Can you do one on his title" I will love again "from his same concert?
THANKS
Watching Lara perform live is to witness greatness!
THE VOICE !!!
It's LARA who wrote the Lyrics in Italian and then rewrote in English.
So she sung first the song before the others covered like Dimash.
Thank you for your reactions and please react more of Lara's performances .
🇨🇦 Same with "Broken Vow" which Lara wrote ! 🇨🇦
great to see you two again, as you have such sensitive reactions and a deep appreciation for music.
Thank you so much 🫶🏻
queen lara x
🇨🇦 It is called a Masterclass Performance !
I have said this many times before, but if you listen to anything by Lara, you will hear her sing each syllable in each word, and every word in every line of lyric, clearly and completely to the end, no matter which language she is singing in !
I recommend "Quedate" in Spanish next ! 🇨🇦
Have you heard "je t'aime encore" by lara fabian
🔥Queen Lara🔥
I'm close to 70 years old and I can honestly say I've never heard a better singer in my life. I've never heard anyone extract as much feeling and emotion from a song. She's an incredible artist.
She is incredible...thanks guys❤❤
The original tune is from a classical piece called "Albinoni's Agagio". Lara then took that, wrote the lyrics and made this song from it. Other's then covered the song.
Perdere l'amore, next :)
bravo pour vos commentaire, ecoutez adagio version 2024 avec hauser
Welcome back! Lara is at the top of my list favorite performers/singers next to Barbra Streisand.
Side note: You've reacted to Morissette Amon, why not check out Gigi De Lana & Gigi Vibes who recently completed their US/Canada tour and are now in Australia. She had over 2.2 million subs.
A 20 yo named Lucy Thomas from the UK just had her 1st live concert in Manchester and performed 17 songs. Then there is Lori Holub also 20 whose cover of We Only Just Begun by The Carpenters will surprise!
hi she wrote the song
She wrote the lyrics.
@@timradde4328 wow lol
Two more songs from her I like:
- you're not from here
- quedate

A new album coming soon!
Lara, sono orgoglioso che tu sia anche italiana.
Finally! I've been waiting for you to react to this specific song. Please "Perdere l'amore" or "Caruso" from the same concert next 🤗. You might need tissues for these, emotional tear-jerkers in a good way.
Taylor you're gorgeus! You're my fav couple reacting.
Thank you so much! 🫶🏻

PS:She's currently 54 years, touring around the world and she has been also the vocal coach at The Voice France since 2005.
No vibratons in her voice
Her emotional and captivating performances ...The effortless singing even in the high notes.
Lara's performances can be called minimalistic.
Fabian does not have backup dancers. She wears a strict dress code, light makeup, no flashy fingernails, and usually not one or a minimum number of pieces of jewelry on stage.
Her unique very strong but velvety 4.1-octave voice (lyric soprano) whit an exceptional nearly endless breath control what results in the seamless connections of words and phrases of the lyrics, the emotional and expressive performances, that are the only things that the audience receives and what captivates the audience
A little bit forgotten, Lara's fist big hit in Canada , France and Europe.
Here her first TV performance in France
th-cam.com/video/XYBNk6dgpgQ/w-d-xo.html
For a very different Lara, but a video that show how much she feels the song she is singing, try "Requiem Pour Un Fou", a duet she did with a French Superstar called Johnny Hallyday. There are several versions of it, but go for the one with English subtitles (on a youtube channel by someone called Kuzco Pacha).
You mean, be sure to have anyone that you refer to _'go for the one_ in the rain' ...as it is, by far, the superior performance
Adagio for strings is originally a piece for a symphonic orchestra and Lara put the words on it.
Come on Belgium!!!!
She is truly a great performer and that's apart from being a godly vocalist

The original singer of Broken Vow is.........
Come on I'm sure you know her.
Its...........
Yes indeed........
Its Lara Fabian herself
Hihihihi😂😂
'.. _commanding_ stage presence..' '.. _commands_ [your] attention..'
A word used often in association would be 'captivating', as you guys well know ;-)
If I had to name whom it is I consider the finest female singer of this century (to date), Lara must be the lead contender. Amongst male singers/instrumentalists/composer-arrangers, it must be Jacob Collier. I'd love to hear them collaborate on a song.
She is original, also in Italian.
She wrote the lyrics, Dimash made a cover. She first wrote it in italian which is one of her two native languages.( father is belgian and mother sicilian). She is fluent in english and spanish also. She sings in twelve languages in all.
Gosto de ouvir as suas reações 🇧🇷❤️está fazendo falta vcs reagirem ao Gabriel Henrique THE Clinb foi o último vídeo estou aguardando 🙏❤❤❤
❤😊
She’s the original Singer
🇨🇦 The best (and most accurate) explanation comes in the comments below, from Eric Sicard ! Eric is the resident 'Lara' expert ! 🇨🇦
The original singer is Lara!!! lol
Oops lol. We were thinking of a different song.
❤❤❤🥺
Always Love your reaction❤
next A Thousand Years covered by Cakra Khan,.....a younger CK 👍🤯
Have you watched her performance from OL together with Slimane?
il vaut mieux rester sur ce concert où l'interprétation de "je suis malade " est magistrale et incomparable. Le duo quant à lui était affreux à entendre
Adagio means 'Slowly". I believe the music is a very old Classical piece to which Lara wrote lyrics. I know you've heard this. Just wanted to remind you. Welcome back.
Cheers.
Please reaction about dimash - adagio. I can't wait to see your reaction about him
We have 🙂
Someone came up with the name .. method singing in reference to Method Acting. In the case for Lara.
Yeeessss
Now you have to listen to Dimash sing this song. Simply astounding
We have 😊
If you think this one is emotional.....wait until you hear her version in Italian !!.......You can carry me away after that......🥺
a song by Lara about her daughter
and the anguish of being a mother
‘le coeur qui tremble"
th-cam.com/video/NdTfhnWNGsw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GxEt5EGQN4frBc-c
I open the door
And feel my hand on the knob
You never know
What might happen to you
You know outside men fall
With the night
I'd like to protect you
When the cats are grey
I'll give you the name
Bright city streets
Keeping you out of dark corners
The dead ends, the fools
Their arms outstretched too fast
Like gnarled branches
I'd so much like to avoid you
All these empty promises
But you'll do
As you see fit
You'll see
No story is like you
Don't blame me
If I do more than I should
It's in spite of myself
My soul will always be on the lookout
And even together
My heart will always tremble
You'll take boats
Waiting for you to return
You'll take trips
That will want to turn short
But wherever you go
I'll keep your departure
Your departure in my heart
Like the last impact
My child you will take
Your life with your arms
I'll spend mine
Watching over you
Today you fall asleep
In the next room
And I pray that nothing will separate us
But you'll do
As you see fit
You'll see
No two stories are alike
Don't blame me
If I do more than I should
It's in spite of myself
My soul will always be on the lookout
Even when we're together
But you'll do
As you see fit
You'll have
A little bit of life
Don't you worry
If I can't sleep in peace
It's in spite of myself
I'll always have my soul on the lookout
And even together
My heart will always tremble
Tomaso Albinoni - Adagio
The music is a mystery, created either by the Italian master Albinioni, or by a man named Giozotti. In any event, I'm not rure. I am sure that Lara wrote the lyrics in Italian and English. She did a duet version of Je Suis Malade with
Slimane in the pre opening ceremony in Paris...The vocals were spectacular (but probably not live) but the acting was rather weird, with too many smiles for such a depressing song.
Just think of Lara as short for Larry and pronounce it so 😂
