This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. But in any event, a professional vocal coach like you can determine some of the subtle differences in the performance, and thank you for pointing them out, because I was too transfixed by Lara and Hauser to notice.

On imagine toujours que nos idoles sont immortels mais ce n est pas le cas malheureusement. Mon idole depuis toujours c est Arnold Schwarzenegger et dans la musique c est Metallica. Pour ce qui est de ma chanteuse préférée c est Lara fabian et il ne faut pas oublier qu elle est près de la mi cinquantaine alors depuis tout le temps qu elle chante,sa voix s affaiblie. Et pourtant je suis sure qu elle chante encore aussi haut et fort que 90% des jeunes artistes qui ont la moitié de son age. Des fois je fantsme qu elle change Adagio par mon prenom(Roberto) ca marcherait😆😆🥰🥰. Elle est incroyable la belle Lara❤❤❤
I like floor jansen. But in adagio she uses her headvoice instead of chest on the high belt. That is because she could not do it in the same way and power. But it was a hommage to lara and a compliment. Not to show she can do it better or the same. I thank floor for that hommage and it was great, but not to compere.
