    This is an incredible video. You're very knowledgeable and you go so in depth of the wrapping process. Also something I'd like to point out is that you have proper knife handling skills. You use only what you need which is enough to not cut the back of the car. It really grinds my gears when I see a certain popular (youtube famous) wrapper that over extends his knife to the max and swings that thing around while its exposed. CRAZY.
    Anyways, not here to rant, kudos for the whole video. Also thanks for the glimpse at Tek R. Will definitely be buying this for my car.

    Wrapping that area can protect the paint from scratch, oil n grime during engine work. Nice work 👍🏼

    My fenders paint kind of come out, I think this is the 10/10 solution for it even it takes time like a art 🎨🤤

    Great video. I wanna do this on my golf mk7 r. Just wondering roughly how much vinyl would I need to do both. Thanks

      Thanks, and thanks for watching! As far as how much vinyl to do fenders on a smaller car, generally speaking, a 2 foot tall by 5 foot long sheet is typically enough for one fender. So if you ordered a 4‘ x 5‘ piece of vinyl (vinyl typically comes in a 5’ tall piece by however many feet long you order) you should be able to get both of your fenders done. But it varies from vehicle to vehicle. To be sure, you would need to measure your fender from left and right and top to bottom at its highest and widest points and add a bit extra for a margin of safety.

    Hey bro great video! Just had a question how much vinyl would I need to wrap two fenders?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      It varies based on the vehicle, but I did my STI with a 5' x 5' sheet cut in half

    Did you say 70% Alcohol and 30% water mix? Need to wrap my fender and this video was very helpful.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes, typically I use an alcohol/water mix where roughly 70% of the mixture is rubbing alcohol (the alcohol itself being 99% pure, undiluted) and the rest water.

    Do they sell a roll big enough for the hood and the fenders? Bc I went on there but it looks like the biggest offered Is 17x5 not sure how much of that I’d need to do the hood and fenders

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there should be rolls that they sell that would be enough to cover a hood and both fenders. Very generally speaking, for regular sized cars, a hood can usually be covered by a 5 ft x 5 ft or a 6 ft x 5 ft piece. Fenders are typically around 2 to 3 ft long by about 2 to 3 ft tall. So a 10 ft x 5 ft piece "should" be enough in total to cover a hood and both fenders. But it all depends on the actual size of what you are trying to cover, so always I recommend measuring to see what size you would need to order. The Amazon affiliate link I left in the description when I checked this evening shows that they have a few 10 ft by 5 ft pieces. Our you could order two 6 ft x 5 ft sections, one for the hood and one piece you can divide in half for each fender. But again, I recommend measuring to see what kind of coverage you would need and order accordingly.

    With the new tek r you don’t have to worry about scratches from the squeegee… it’s self healing … apply some heat and the scratches will go away

    How’s the wrap holding up. My car stay outside 99 percent of the time and worried about the wrap either fading away or not as fresh as a new wrap.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's holding up fine, but I've only had it on for a couple months and it's a garage kept car :-)

    I did a brief comparison video between the real CF vs this. There is no way it would match the high quality real CF. But it still looked real though.

      @ColorChangeCustoms  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree...real CF is just so nice. But, some of these film look so real...I've had other car enthusiasts look up close and thought this was real CF! But you just can't beat real, quality CF for sure.

    Vvivid is poor quality wrap. Stay with KPMF, Oracal or Avery if you want quality wrap.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've gotten that feedback as well. Luckily, I've never had issue with VVivid, but I also order direct from them instead of 3rd party, which in many cases, buying from 3rd party has turned out to be not actual Vvivid, or material that has passed it's shelf life. Am a big fan of the other vinyls you mention as well...each has their own pros and cons that an end user should take into account when selecting which vinyl they want to use.

    • @thisnewcreatedaccount5286
      @thisnewcreatedaccount5286 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats because you cant install it. I bet you cant install Teckwrap/Inozetek because its soooo thick. So many professional shops say the same thing they suck because of thickness. Other than that ive had no problem removing 2yr old Vvivid...No garage kept.

    • @LyraLivarchuk
      @LyraLivarchuk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thisnewcreatedaccount5286 Thickness isn't an issue, the issue is the poor quality. There is a reason why quality wraps cost more and why professional shops use them. Quality wraps install well and have a great warranty. All these cheap vinyl brands are being promoted to DIY installers. I see so many mess them up, or if they do look good at first install, they ended up feeling back within the first year and need redone. That's not quality.

      @@LyraLivarchuk Agreed i have a wrap shop here in ontario and personally i stay away from vvivid i actually like working with it just because its so thick. But i find it fades, peels pretty bad after a couple of years compared to other vinyls.
