I hope they add Barbato’s Lupus Rex variant sometime in the future, and give him ranged options
What I think is the strongest thing about Barbatos is that it can sprint and dash while holding the smash charge.
It would be quite clunky without it 🤔 But it’s still very powerful
Barbatos ult looks like it was made to hit clips of you slashing though 6 people
Especially with Methuss’ ult 👀
What I liked about barbatos is the fact you could bait and switch with it, act like you’re running away and then bait people in. Then proceed to leap over the wall/cover and surprise them. Only gripe with barbatos is that it needs to be more punishing if you mess up or play too aggressive. I got away with too much silly stuff during the test

I've played a little Barbatos and can't get a hang of how much range his mace has. I go up to enemies with a charged attack only to whiff it because they were just out of range. Any idea how I can better judge the range?
Exia can be caught off guard if you are out of options or feeling cocky, by using the longsword ability when it charges into you.

Barbatos was the only unit that made me feel like (in its current state in the beta) would absolutely ruin the game and get ppl to uninstall. It seriously needs to be reworked🕵️♂️
Definitely needs changes.. they changed the range on the slam and long sword apparently, but smashing through Sazabi’s shield for a two shot combo is game breaking
@@Dunmuir i feel like they just need to lower his health to like 700-800 with the range nerf then he’d be fine. He has 3 dashes already so why he tanky a little😂
@@marktyiran2250 at high skill tiers it would have more or less the same effect tho, just because high tier players can still maximize the value more or less. Kind of like how you they tried to nerf brig constantly but couldn’t affect her viability in high tiers
@@Dunmuir I guess u right but then yeah they should get ride of the instant kill combo Or maybe make the overhead and slam stun leave a little health left if they were max hp so u need ur teammate or a regular swing after the stun to finish the combo. That way he’d get hit more having to do the extra swing but it would still be strong bc if they are hit a little then he could still instant kill. I’m so excited for this game. They could do all kind of things to actually balance it. I just hope it works
@@marktyiran2250 I'm excited to see how they balance it too 0.o I think there's multiple things they can do to adjust Barbatos without making it garbage, but I'd just like them to shy away from kill combos
Well it makes sense. Barbatos is like the Wild/Demon child in the Gundam family line. Like literally. Some Gundam Mobile Suits have range attacks, close quarters attacks and a bit of both as their fighting styles. Barbatos' fighting style is like that of a Raging Berserker. Using wild movements and brute force attacks, unlike it's predecessors.
The high ground you say 😏😂 still I love that mace and being a oil thirsty barbarian, I just a big fan of melee

Idk if it's from newer updates but the G maneuver I can't seem to stop flying upwards or just bouncing everywhere. It seems extremely finicky
Have they changed barbatos cause the slam ability leaves me stunned myself when I use it or it's soooo slow the enemy is gone by the time it swings HOW DO YOU SWING SO FAST AND WITH NO PENALTY

Yikes, im an ibo fan and no gonna lie, I like the opness but they really need to rework or nerf the man. 2 abilities that stuns and penetrates shields? Hell naw. I dont get where bandai going with that. How about this? Reduce his hp to 800 - 900 or don't touch his hp but take away one dash from him, making him only have 2, mace slam will bounce enemies instead of stun and shield penetration, making it sound like a 'gtf away from me, you're killing me!' or harder for barbatos to pursue his enemies as he needs to use 1 or 2 dashes to close in again, sword slam will only shield penetrate and maybe stun if u want, and maybe damage reduction for barbatos' abilities cuz damn, maze slam + sword slam = death for any ms.
If this is too much nerfs, maybe buff the ult. Either increase barbs' hp when he activates it, damage reduction from enemies' attacks by 15% or have a 25% chance of barbatos nullifying an incoming attack.
I''m liking these ideas overall! Barbatos basically just needs to be turned into either a beefy brawler, or a very high skill damage dealer. Either way, the stuns definitely need to go, being a one shot tank is ridiculous

As a Barbatos main and rewatching this guide, i hope he is scaled a little better on release, however that would not change my opinion on this powerhouse of a Gundam frame. my boy is a very rewarding playstyle

Why is it G manoeuvre fly went I use it!!!!!!
He suffers from the same thing all other melee classes do, no ranged abilities, meaning any player with decent aim could realistically take him out in 1-2 clean shots. Doesn't matter if he's a strong flanker, if you can hold the enemy team back with range you can deal with a single heavy flanker. I see three ways to deal with Barbatos in this video alone.
1) If you strafe you can easily side step his abilities and force him to overshoot
2) Nobody is focus firing Barbatos and acting like he's not there half the time
3) When they have an opportunity to back away to bait in a jumping strike, they stand still and let him land unabated
He's strong and fast, but that doesn't make him invincible. Does he need a nerf, no, if they do then nobody would play him at all since then people without common sense could deal with him. If they were to make a change, they should bring the power levels of other gundams up a bit so there is a more varied option of play and counter play. If he was to be nerfed then his slam should have an activation period before it automatically disables then gets put into cooldown to force quicker plays.
Just use common sense and it's not hard to counter him unless you're already being steamrolled.

This game looks like the Dev team forgot to replace the temp geometry of the map layout with the real terrain that was supposed to replace it.
I hope they nerf this one to the ground, a good enemy Barbatos is absolutely infuriating
