I got this on a whim and to this day it remains my favorite gun. It’s almost impossible to even explain why, but just the click of that trigger and the supersonic 17 HMR round crack through a suppressor... sub-MOA all day long, it’ll ALWAYS put a smile on your face.
I love my Savage 93R 17 HMR bolt-action rifle with Realtree camo on the whole stock. It's my groundhog killer rifle. Another awesome review 22 Plinkster
Just got mine yesterday and paired it with a vortex diamondback 3.5-10x50 and I love it I shot a penny sized group today at 100 yds!!! I love it thanks for making this video it really helped me decide on this awesome rifle!! Keep up the great videos.
Great, thourough review per usual Plinskster! You always do a terrific job givings the honest scoop on products. I love my RPR 22lr and just may need to start saving for the HMR.
The Ruger Precision series are awesome for the price point. I have the 6.5 Creed and with the savings of the system I was able to step up a couple of notches into a Vortex Razor Gen II. Just a tack driver for the money I have in it.
These precisions kick ass . We have a few of them in different calibers . My favorite is .243 . They don’t make that one anymore so it’s worth something now for sure . These guns r crazy accurate with a good scope
Hornady loads a 20gr XTP In 17hmr and I have always gotten really good accuracy with them..lil harder to find but worth it! Thanks 22Plinkster & God Bless ya brother!!👊👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great video! nice shooting!! I have shot thousands of rounds of both 17 HMR and 22 WMR--it's a toss up for me, but I would give the edge to the 17 on accuracy.. I loved my Ruger 22 WMR auto--it throws alot of lead and was highly reliable--now I've gone bolt action with the 17 HMR in a CZ 452 wood and I can't believe the accuracy.. Recently I saw what I thought was a tennis ball in the open desert across from my house (I shoot out the window of my office) and took 4 shots at aprox 120 yards--I drove over and picked it up a few weeks later and it turned out to be a Lacrosse ball of all things out in the desert?? The 17 actually penetrated a solid rubber Lacrosse ball and was hit 4 times.. So the 17 has plenty enough power to go through a solid rubber Lacrosse ball at 100+ yards.. as for the 22 mag I love the power and it carries well. Either way you can't go wrong. Tomatoe, Tomato..
That .17 is ultra-accurate for its cost and this kind of a precision rifle platform. Just don't shoot it on a windy day and it's a TON of fun, $0.12 / rds versus $0.50-$3.00 for your standard rifle rounds.
I'd love to have an .17 hmr to use for varmint and squirrel. By the sounds of it, people who like their 22 mags are fond of these. A friend of mine had a lever action that was slick as hell. This is such a cool gun, though. Almost looks like an old German mg42

I have a 93r17 . Came with the scope. Pretty freaking accurate. I hit bullseye 125 yards away.
