It’s good to watch a full process again. I’m glad you showed us the roof redo, those things happen. I have decided that my truck is going to be a daily driver quality with urethane paint and no additives. Maybe a light Pearl in the eggshell center, I haven’t decided yet. great show!
This has been an interesting process so far. Im learning that their's a lot that goes into doing a paint job the right way. You're doing good, John! Thanks for teaching.
Lights are gonna look awesome! Might I suggest Sylvania Zevo LED bulbs in the regular bulb spots? Running them on my '07 Silverado Classic. Bright and are doing well!
That grille is gonna look great with those new lights. A little trick I did a few years back; I was painting my whipper arms, & I painted them flat black, then clear coated them, they turned out like OEM black, not quite gloss, not quite flat!
I'm going to be basing the whole truck in black but it's a great practice so that the color will be consistent on the whole vehicle especially when painting light colors but I do end up putting the whole truck in primer in the next episode so stay tuned thanks for watching
my truck roof ended up with a paint primer sealer house paint on it to cover the surface rust and clear coat separation from gray base. Looks like Im gonna copy you and sand the entire roof down. Typical Texas trucks always loose the clearcoats and just look awful. Like those lights.
