I’ve seen so many videos about this with crazy formulas and crazy math. Thank you so much!! Perfect explanation!!

Started watching you a few weeks ago. I dig it. Keep making videos. As someone without a rotary, but considering it, this is neat! Without experience I can understand what you are describing, but no direct experience with it. One bit that might have helped this video, is side by side examples of 100% and 109%. Even just a light scoring on tape, or scrap or any example of how a true circle looks, and why this is needed.
You did a great job explaining it, sometimes a picture helps me though.
Curious, could you do the same thing adjusting steps per degree? So that it automatically stretches everything without having to scale it? Probably more effort than the simple 109% change.
    Keep it up!

You could program it into your steps per rotation but if you wanted to do a full wrap where you need to do exactly one full turn on the tumbler, no more, no less, then you would be off.

@@BeardedBuildsCo Oh, good point! I did not think about full wraps.

Any simple solution to a more tapered tumbler/pint glass? With those, you get a constantly increasing distortion as you go down the side, and I have yet to find a 100% method to do this with Lightburn.

Yes, in Lightburn under Laser Tools click on Taper Warp.
