Intersectionality: Considerations in counseling

The more I learn in my doctoral program, the more I realize I have to learn. A choice in practicing from a cultural humility framework calls us to engage in a lifelong commitment towards growth. Although we are not responsible for establishing a white supremacy system, we are responsible for dismantling it. We can do it together with commitment and grit. In this video, I share a bit on intersectionality, a theory developed by Kimberlé Crenshaw that helps us understand how intersecting identities face barriers for individuals and groups.
