Truck Norris NSR camshaft
Pacesetter 1 3/4" ceramic coated headers
K&N cold air intake(factory)
Off-road Y-pipe
Magnaflow 12579 28" muffler
Full 3" exhaust all the way out the back
I installed the absolute largest magnaflow muffler I could find to replace the Borla Atak muffler. The Borla was only about 14" long with a straight through design. The Magnaflow is a 28" long muffler that is also has a straight through design but with dual chambers. Much, much quieter than the Borla but very deep and pleasant which is what I was aiming for. I do plan on adding an exhaust equalizer loop to the passenger side before the ypipe and a 3" electric cutout for some noise when wanted.
🔥
I just have to say that I have bought the knockoff MagnaFlow mufflers before but they never sounded that great to me. Also the packing technology is far more advanced with your mufflers. They really are a cut above the rest so thank you for providing these for us all of these years MagnaFlow 🤙
What are your neutral and in gear idles set to? I feel like my 4.8 btr nsr doesn’t chop quite as much.
@@Trail2Touge69 the idle is set at 750rpm, it's a stick shift truck so in gear it idles around 1000-1100rpm to keep from stalling
@@hebeb394 appreciate the quick response. That’s about where mine hovers. My truck still has cats/stock headers/mild cat back, they must be taming the sharp chop I was expecting. I can’t be mad though for how easy it was to install. Night and day difference in power through most of the rev range, feels like a different engine 😂
@@Trail2Touge69 absolutely that's the reason why the chop is tame. The factory headers and cats neuter the sound profile of the cam more than anything lol
I done the karnage loop on mine with spintechs, made absolutely no sound difference before and after. I actually cut the whole setup out
Did you measure each side to the collector to see if it was even after you installed the loop?
@hebeb394 I measured it all out, it was within 8inches of each other, hard to be perfect same length on a 4wd truck, also had an xpipe in the mix.
@@Slik-rik87 I guess the 8" did matter unfortunately, hard to believe it would make much of a difference though
