I would really like to see a comparison with the same engine (345hp V8) and exhaust size (2.5") used in all tests, and test the different TYPES of mufflers, not just brands of mufflers. So glasspack (magnaflow) vs chambered (flowmaster) vs turbine (jones or aero) vs turbo (pypes or jones) vs spiral flow (moroso). Maybe even throw one of Flowmaster's Super HP-2 laminar flow mufflers in as well for good measure. Track the max HP and torque, as well as the max dB from the exhaust pipes, and have an audio recording of each muffler tested so users can give them a listen and find their subjective tastes.

look im just gonna comment because he was loving that flowmaster muffler so hard. its the truth.
i bought some flo pro mufflers for my vortec sbc build last year. they are flow pro super v mufflers. flo pro makes great exhaust for diesels at a good price. they got into gas motors because people love their products.
i got 2 2.5" super v mufflers for 70 bux shipped. they lasted 20k miles and i drove it in winter and didnt want to because its a clean car.
the mufflers are fine. they are super strong and do not take damage. i bet the flowmasters are a little better metal. but flo pro super v is just as good and less money.
makes a deep sound. quiet till half throttle. no rasp. you cant hear your cam chopping. just low deep glug or blub sound but it sounds like power.
same motor with open headers sounds like a potato cam. very nice sound nobody has complained yet about it they all love the sound. i hope someone sees this and tries them because its a lesser known with the gas motor guys brand and im acutally very happy with them. ill buy mufflers from them now for a long time.

It sounded almost like the stock mufflers at idle but had a strong and throaty tone at WOT. Never got pulled over on Woodward Ave for excessive noise/mufflers by the local LEO's. All the other Mustang's seemed to have Flowmaster or cheaper version mufflers. Too loud at WOT and excessive drone at cruising speed.

If you make it richer/leaner or messing a bit with the timing, maybe the outcome will be different. Buy the biggest MagnaFlow mufflers that will fit with straight through exhaust, because these mufflers are the quietest, and then add vibrant industries resonators to the very rear of the exhaust pipes which knock out tons of sound and still flow through no baffling in the system, they will never hear you coming or going.

I owned a Mustang and had a Flowmaster super 44 installed and then a Dynomax was installed like the ones used in Honda Civics. The sound was thick and the response of the engine increased. What about the Vibrant? My son uses it in his Honda and the sound is very good and he says it improves the response of the engine.

On my 2020 mustang I have the corsa double H sport catback. Absolutely no drone and great sound. I'll be adding catted long tubes soon so it'll be a tad louder but not crazy loud like the extreme system.
