The dual exhaust tips is definitely a gasser thing , always felt like the single only belongs on diesels but the truck sounds good no matter which one you stick with 🔥
I agree, I think the single tip looks good since I’ve got the longer 2500 frame
Full 3 inch straight pipe with a 3 to 4 inch split tip out at the stock location
I did mine couple years ago. They said you can use stock TC. I guess so, I have mine in still but I'm sitting on the brake firmer so it doesn't surge is PIA. This cam is as advertised. It is in my 2500HD WT (LY6) for towing. Eaton Truetrac.
I dont recall dyno numbers but I know we didnt put it on the edge with respect to timing and because Im towing loaded 26 ft trailer with car and can not control fuel types around the country. Truck itself is like 7000lbs.

Single exhaust, sounds much deeper and cleaner than true duals or y-pipe duals.
Go straight pipe and let that cam go crazy🤟🏽
You could do a y pipe straight pipe to keep a single exit exhaust and it wouldn’t clap as much as duals. Or what I would go with is just true dual straights with 4x18 angle cuts exiting right under the rear bumper under the bumper steps. The end of the exhaust tips aligning right at the corner of the bumper it will make the sound travel further as compared to them just pointing straight back

I have a single cab, short bed Silverado I did a 6.0 swap and the truck Norris cam, with long tubs mine has a x pipe no muffler and straight back you well have clap after 35mph I bought some neighbor hater mufflers and almost if not some clap and I love it
I would say for the tips you should do either corvette style or dual tip single exit
i really like the corvette style, that’s what i have planned for the new truck on the channel here soon 👀
Dual straights and keep a muffler on it so you won’t get in trouble for it being too loud!
Personally, I’d say keep it just out the one side, there’s already that guy with that green obs ( COUGH AUSTIN ) that already is loud 😭 but we still love him
Run a 4in diesel muffler would sound good with it being cammed
Yo I recently bought a crew cab cammed 06 5.3 with true dual straights and 6 in tips out the back and its STUPID loud and clappy anywhere around 2k ish rpms and up, I'm currently looking for a muffler setup myself, and to be fair I'm not sure what cam is in it but the guy said either stage 3 or 4 cam I cant remember now but its idle sounds kinda like yours, I can get a exhaust clip if you want but imo you should get a smaller muffler if you want louder without the clap, it should increase its loudness without near as much clap as straights are, up to what you like though
Give us a video of you using this to haul wood or material or just using it as a truck

@@Jordan24v although that one is a 5.3 so I think yours would be deeper and way more raspy because even with that cam his sounds raspy

Chomper is the chopacabra cam, different cams give off different lope and such, he would have a hard time trying to make his truck sound like chomper because of the different cams
