Reportedly, according to the NY constitution, only the Governor can terminate the DA. Due process is required. The Governor initiated the process by referring the matter to the appropriate authority for a complete investigation. Once the investigation is completed, I would think we will be hearing from the Governor again.

GO FIGURE REALLY I would have hid too if I threw my good officer under the bus. And thats exactly what he did. His Officer did the right thing< thats what Chief said, My question is did the Chief do the right thing? No he did not. He should have told his officer, this lady is no different than anyone else. Cuff and stuff her. But NO.. He dumped it on his officer. At the point that officer called his superior, his superior should have taken over, and showed the officer the right way, Not she apologized, all is well. And to me basically thats what he said in his little written or typed speech, why not face the people? Come out and talk to the people, let them ask you questions. DIDNT THINK SO!!!!!! You Chief owe your officer a apology as well the way you did him, when he did the right thing. Do you really feel good the example you made for your other officers there? Just curious. DO YOU?

The first officer did right. She is a public servant, this is why he called his superior. He was making sure he did the right thing, which is what a officer is to do in a situation like this. His Chief let him down. When the chief got there or the superior got there, there should have been no private conversations, he should have place her ass on cuffs, and made his officer proud for the job he did. No he didnt do anything but put the burden on his officer who was asking his superior for help. The Chief did this man wrong in every sense of the word. He should be gone. This is how we get corrupt officers. The young officers see the seasoned officers do this type of crap and it spirals out of contro. I sure hope this good officer finds a town with honest cops and DA he very much deserves it.

WOW she really does think she is all that. There needs to be a ethics complaint, and compplaint made to the Bar Association, This woman has lost her right to represent any town, county in any way to do with the judicial system. If she is entitled here, where and what else has she used her position for, Well guess since we have saw this side ogf her, Well theres no telling what we dont know. She is coruppted and needs to go. How much do these people in office have to do before something is done. I have been watching 2 other towns where their Mayors have so much corruption going on, and instead of stopping it in the beginning, they let this mayor keep going and now the town has 20 million in lAWSUITS, AND 7 MILLION IN DEBT, ITS SO BAD THEIR ATTORNEY WALKED OUT AND QUIT. Wake up town, this woman is corrupt, Dont let her get the town into lawsuits because she is so privaledged, This is where is all starts folks. If this stuff was stopped when it started maybe things would not get as far out of control. If they would hold the people accountable a few times, it might deter the next official of wrong doing, But as long as the people are allowed to break the law, they have nowhere to go but deeper, She ran this time, got by with it, whats next. I sure hope this town really thinks this out and lets this woman go. How can anyone feel as tho they are getting a fair trial from a DA who cant follow the law herself? But she going to sit and judge others. CMON town, does this sound right. If you all do nothing to her it will be you alls fault when she really screws up. Then what????? I wish I lived closer I would be there. This woman is a 100% bully! Beyond arrogant! Police chief needs to be looked into! And obviously he does this on a regular basis or she would not have called him! Everyone in that district needs his direct phone number! That officer cowards under pressure. I would’ve been in handcuffs in the backseat of a police car!

Just the fact that this woman, in her position, didn't "gather herself" within moments and understand the gravity and stupidity of her initial actions, and not PROFUSELY apologize to the officer right there IN HER GARAGE and take full responsibility of what she did, speaks VOLUMES. ESPECIALLY given she's the DA in the GHETTO city of Rochester, which has the undesirable claim to being one of the most dangerous cities in New York State (per capita it's on top, or close to it in murders and violent crime) and she treats an officer of the law in such a fashion?????? I am human, as we all are, but the fact that this played out as long as it did without her coming to her senses makes me think she shouldn't be in that position, and just the fact that she took as long as she did to address it and "apologize" for it is insulting. JUST THE FACT that she didn't - almost immediately - address her horrible behavior, again, speaks volumes. It's shameful that she doesn't have the decency and backbone to resign. It seems that her attitude and certainly her vanity and lofty opinion of herself isn't suited for the job of DA.

    • @cristinawoodson5089

People keep saying that it was because she was a DA. Please don't be short-sided. The officer even said he did not know who she was when she was fleeing. She was able to drive home without any issues. We all have seen bad outcomes when we don't stop as quickly as the officer wants. She got home with no problem because she was a caucasian woman. You probably would have not been able to go home. You would still be alive, but because you are a man, your treatment would have been different. Just because you may not like that we bring up race, it doesn't mean that it is not true. I will call "bull" if someone throws race into a situation and it is not warranted. This one, however, is correct.

Shinny badge does not give anyone special treatment... Chief say it was a difficult situation, what the hell is he talking about, it should have been treated as anyone getting pull over for speeding. It's only show special treatment for another power individual with a Damm shinny badge....anyone else would have been stop and if acted the way the DA did, beaten, kick, choke, taser, handcuff and thrown in jail and charged for at least 3 felonies. So Chief u need to be fired too along with that Damm DA who acted like a power driven fool. If both of yall can't handle your job correctly then quit, plain and simple. Nothing difficult about it.
