- So glad to be back to RV living, I stayed in a motel 8 while I was in Longview working another hole watch job. Yuck! I missed living in an RV bad. The motel walls were paper thin and its just nice to be doing the RV life thing. Next time I will certainly drive my RV out to the job location instead, as one of the biggest positives to full time RV living is always being home. The job in Longview, WA only lasted 8 days.
Now I am back in the Couer d'Alene, ID area once again. Waiting to hear back about a government contract job that would let me do the RV travel thing while I work. I would just have to set up in a town and do my thing for 5 days a week and then play 2, or move on to a new location. Anyways back to Class A motorhome living and happy about it, even if this heat wave makes RV boondocking tough. I do have a Thousand Trails membership like Nomadic Fanatic use to, but the nearest RV park is North of Spokane, WA. I'd prefer to stay near all the work I found in Northern, ID. I think Campervan Kevin did some traveling around in Idaho a couple years back. I don't remember him hitting the best spots. So, hopefully I'll be able to pull that off. Plus I got some RV upgrades to due like RV geeks shows off all the time.

Been a "resident" of SD 3 years. DMV in SD actually picks up the phone. So I go DMV direct with all my vehicles, which saves me quit a bit on my mailbox service cost.
They were terrible during CoVid and this was a new purchase not just renewal.
@@WanderlustEstate your right if you needed a fast processing on a new registration. We bought a used classA RV a few month back. The DMV did slow down during covid taking a couple more weeks to get my plates/tags.

I just want to let you know refrigerator containers have flat exterior interior walls and they'll go 20 below zero they're already insulated. Or check out premier building.us. Like 16x40 is $15k

Glad to see things are looking better for ya. Oh my gosh 103* in Idaho. I’m down here in Ocala, FL (central Florida area) and although it can get warm and humid inland I can’t recall it being that hot while I’ve been here. Luckily we’ve been getting quite a few rain storms and life is green and colorful. ☔️ 🐸 🦩🌻

Years ago I worked for the Rural Electrification co down in OK.
The co sent me down to the Navajo nation to run electric lights
to all the outhouses down there.

I feel bad for you in that heat with no AC.
We just came off 3 days of over 100. (101, 107 and 109) and only a couple fans to keep air moving.
Did a lot of driving around in the air conditioned car.
It was brutal, but I survived

I would always try and get on the night crew on Papermill shut downs, those places are to dam hot.
During shut downs they aren't any hotter than normal that I'm use to

Curious how those car rental prices compared to driving the RV to that week long job. Heard car rental is rough(expensive) right now.
I didn't rent a car, I own a car.
How much is one of them containers worth? If I ever buy land this is how I will build my homestead. He is smart if you ask me. I hope he considers growing his own garden and raise some chickens.
The one shipment units are like $6,000 if I remember right.

What's the advantage of having a South Dakota residence when you don't reside there?
I only have to be there once every 5 years, no state income tax, no vehicle inspection or smog, and state health care plan can be used out of state.

Not yet, just got the tow gear. Now I need to install it. Got Blue Ox flat tow bracket and tow bar for my car

What happened to your ac?
My AC compressor basically exploded back when my car broke down. Which throws metal shards into AC system. So I need to replace it. All but the compressor. I have a new one of those already.
