My 75 winnebago itasca mini class c has a 350 v8 with duel exhaust and it gets about 8 mpg...going up a mountain it drops to about 6 or driving against the wind....make sure your tires are all evenly filled with air cause that affects mpg as well...overall good to see you back on the road!

I started following you when you had Smitty the GMC RV. I have an old Pace Arrow RV which sorta resembles Smitty. Classic RVs are great to own if you can do your own maintenance and repairs.

I feel your pain James. I owned a 2003 GMC extended cab pickup with 4x4 and the 8.1 Vortec engine. I towed a 16 foot cargo trailer with tools and materials for my tile and flooring business. It had a mpg readout while driving and when I pulled a fully loaded trailer up a medium grade it showed 3.4 mpg. I traded it in for a used 2007 Chevrolet Duramax 4x4 and got 14 mpg.

I'm driving a 2003 dodge ram 3500. Got it about a year and half ago. It's pretty nifty. :)
6:13 I have a Costco receipt for 14.350 Gallons at 3.09 per. $43.32. 2/10/22. The most I paid for a full tank in my little Ford Ranger is 51 bucks for 17 gallons. Within the last few months, anyway... It still hurts when you fill up every three days. I hate money. lol

Do you drive the speed limit or do you drive slower? We have found that 55 to 58 miles an hour is ideal for increasing miles per gallon. The RV computer shows us the miles per gallon in real time so we really get a sense of the difference speed makes.
I run 55-60 and keep under 3000 rpm

my 2001 2500HD with an 8.1 gets 9mpg towing, idling, empty load
Hey i was wondering if a 454 work horse engine verses a ford V-10 is a better engine
They each have their strengths and weaknesses and the answer would matter on age range and weight of the vehicle itself

Nice RV in my opinion, never heard of 7.4 unless thats the 454
Was in Prunedale California near Salinas for Thanksgiving, gas was $5.00 per gallon.

Well That fuel mileage suuuucks. glad your doing better been watching since 2016ish, why not buy a ford transit, something you can stand up in and save thousands on fuel cost let lone the maneuverability of a smaller rig, those big old glass A"s are for old people and mobile hoarders like Eric lol. anyway keep on keep"n"on

You missed it, I did calculations at about 18 mins in. It was 8.3 miles per gallon.
