- After hanging out with Nomadic Fanatic in Los Angeles, California I head for San Diego. Upon arrival I run errands and get to work. Happy with results of my 4 day work week I treat myself to my favorite Mexican food restaurant in Chula Vista, CA. I also show you all my San Diego free boondocking spot along the lake.

So the thing about the Appalachian Trail is that you really can't hike it in the winter. Most hikers start in March or April and finish up in August or September heading northbound. I would love to see you hike that hike!
You made it to San Diego! What a long journey! You have undergone a loss, and sometimes current losses resonate/echo or stir up distant feelings from earlier losses even though that may not be consciously realized. I believe you mentioned an earlier loss that was quite traumatic. It sounds like you emerged from that loss as you are emerging from this one.
Yeah, I have plenty recently to have made me get blue, now its time to pull my head out of the sand.
Glad you getting back to hiking, you seem to be happier doing that. Take time for yourself, hike, do things that make you happy. Stay safe, stay healthy and God bless!

When you love someone and it ends, you can't just pretend it never happened and the blues occasionally might creep in, you seem to be doing much better, get outside in the air and around people, I'm sure it will make you feel better. As someone who has through hiked the AT, I think it's much more difficult than you may think. But I encourage you to go for it but...be prepared ! Good luck and best wishes.
Oh I have no doubt a through hike of that length is tough.
@@WanderlustEstate - The thing to understand about a hike along the AT is that it is different from trails in the west. A large majority of it is constant up's and downs, rock scrambles and very rocky (ankle breaking) trails... and depending upon when you set off it's humid and bug infested. It's things like this that really make it a very challenging journey and very different to hikes in other parts of the country. Still, my aim is NOT to discourage you, rather to make you aware in advance of what you will face. I say go for it ! :-)
That Brian Laundrie kid was said to be an expert at that trail !

Hey just a suggestion, bcz i do this to myself too, but get the place cleaned up and say you'll try to keep it clean or at least keep it picked up. don't say you'll keep it clean bcz that sets you up to probably fail, and i'm basing that off of me not you so you might not have that problem but if you live in a place its going to get messy so maybe set up one day a week and a couple of hours on that day and clean, let that be when you do that. that works for me but we're all different and i just thought i'd suggest it. I do hope its not offensive or rude for me to do so bcz that is not my intention. sending love your way and prayers that you find your happy place and can get there often!
