BlueOx Flat Tow Setup Installation On Scion Xa For Class A Motorhome Under $1000

- In today's RV living full time in a class A motorhome video, I show you why the whole front end of my car is gone. In addition I go over my newest RV upgrade, which happens to be a brand new BlueOx flat tow set up that I put together for less than $1,000. Now in doing so I had to tackle one of the least fun RV life challenges and that's to install my BlueOx tow plate myself. I was thinking I would pay to have it completed, but its so difficult to find labor for anything in this area, I was left with a DIY project.
The video starts off with a brief RV Living Update and then I go into what was involved in installing my BlueOx flat tow plate on my 2006 Scion Xa. I forgot my camera, so the video is missing the tear down, but I show the actual installation of the tow plate and then I show some of the reassembly. It turned out to be a major DIY project, but I am glad I did it and now I can brag about having $1,000 DIY New BlueOx Flat Tow Set Up.

A good way to keep the tow car from swaying is lightly apply the emergency brake
Thats not good for the ebrake and the quiet hitch takes all the sway out for me.

I always like to share some humor, you know?
If you ever have an opportunity to have someone tap into wiring, I highly recommend trying to get a wiring kit so it's plug and play. Just makes everything so much easier and no wires running exterior to the car. But it looks like you ready to rock and roll!
I have done similar wiring and may do so if I have an issue with stopping or I have a big upswing in money available.
Your “financial house” must be a financial tent. You should have built a financial mansion.

we had to do the same and take off the front of our SUV 2013 Chevy Equnox..was well worth it ... 15000 miles so far..our is all wired to car...

If I had $60k to spend I'd get another and do a full mechanical restoration to give me a road warrior thats super cool. I'd include a diesel engine swap.
Glad to see you Hope to run into you this year. O had the same crap hit me motor home blown motor back in April. Now in the last phase of con rtting s cargo trailer with the works in it. Had to buy a small SUV to tow it with. Then heading to NM to catch up with Bigg Dogg.
did you verify that the car CAN be flat towed? I'm aware some can while others can not - hate to see another Aw Shucks video - you've been thru enough :-)
