It sounds like a modern version of Post Dubstep to me. But the style is very unique, so while I do think it's Post Dubstep, not all Post Dubstep sounds like this.
Great video, especially for our parents to hear less agressive nowdays edm music, but i cant go further with mentioning, its a really big differences between Bass house genres and dubstep genres. If a house track has a more agressive bass, doesnt mean it, its a dubstep. Dubstep is a lot more harder and its bass is called *growl. Growl sounds more robotic than a house basses sounds. And future house you mentioned in a video sounds more like progressive / pop, the actual future house from old times could be a Oliver Heldens - koala. Future house has a lot more elastic sounding drop if that makes a sense. And also you forgot Bigroom House. Overally, great video :))
Big Room House is a pretty losely defined word that usually includes Anthem House, Dutch House and Peak Time Techno, thats why I didnt include it as a genre. But glad to hear you liked it.
I must say tho... All Around the World is slap house/Brazilian bass, not future house. A more suitable reference would be an artist like Don Diablo or Mike Williams.
Good mixture. This year spotify made me a mix of most listened music and there is also a genre called “slap house”. I never heard of it before but I read it came out in late 10’s and is a mix between deep house and tech house.
I didnt count it as a genre, because its mostly called Slap House because of that typical "slappy" bass sound, but imo thats not enough to define a whole subgenre, I would count it under Future House. However I would also not directly disagree with it if another site lists it as a genre.

I mean technically Nu Disco is a synonym for New Beat or Dark Disco and is a subgenre of Industrial/Goth. But I can imagine that nowadays its often used as a synonym because the name gives a similar vibe and its not too far off.

I think you focused a bit too much on progressive kinda niche subgenres (which tbh i have a hard time distinguishing one from another, also some sound way closer to Trance) and left out big subgenres like UK Garage or Electro House. The core concept of progressive dance is not really understandable with a 30 seconds sample (not a problem you can solve easily in this vid, i know). I don't find Deep House influences in the examples you used for Deeptech, they just have deep sounding bass. The examples used for Bass House actually sound quite different, both the bass sound and the rhythm are different. I struggle to understand the label so i won't give you instructions about it, just saying it's not really clear. Also (this isn't your fault as it's common use), i'm always against geographical genre labels cause no genre is really exclusive to a place and especially not big genres like house, f.e. i struggle to find proper differences in sound between US Classic House and oldschool Euro House. Sorry if this was long, i still enjoyed your vid, mainly cause i got to listen to subgenres i usually avoid that are not that bad after all. :)

Progressive house that I know sounds very similar to big room house as it’s very euphoric, soulful and energetic You make progressive house sound like a trance subgenre which is rather embarrassing for normal progressive house/NCS listeners
Good compilation, but I think it's ridiculous how obsessive some genres are about categorising. I think most of these "subgenres" have been coined after the fact, more so to describe the "scenes" of certain regions in different time periods, and some of them might not have any sort of musical connection whatsoever. I'm pretty damn sure that most of these artist never intended their music to be of a specific subgenre, they were just creating hosue music with their own flavour to it. Overall I think it's harmfull if we train our minds that music should be categorised this strictly. I think it makes us more close minded and wary of creativity.

I think your Progressive House (Modern) is still sounding the classic Prog. House. Modern Progressive House songs/artists include Swedish House Mafia- Dont You Worry Child Zedd - Beautiful Now Tobu Alesso - Heroes You know Prog. House Modern are much more anthemic and Melodic too.
It's simply a form of Prog that only plays 8th notes in the bass and pluck chords. You could argue that its just a subsubgenre of Melodic Prog maybe, but I thought it was unique enough

Nu Disco (not in the video) sounds way too similar to Funky/Disco House. Am I wrong?
I mean technically Nu Disco is a synonym for New Beat or Dark Disco and is a subgenre of Industrial/Goth. But I can imagine that nowadays its often used as a synonym because the name gives a similar vibe and its not too far off.
It is another genre of house closely related to disco house. funky house and disco house aren’t the same.

Thanks for the recommendation, the examples I used where quite modern so maybe not that representative of the original stuff.
I think you focused a bit too much on progressive kinda niche subgenres (which tbh i have a hard time distinguishing one from another, also some sound way closer to Trance) and left out big subgenres like UK Garage or Electro House.
The core concept of progressive dance is not really understandable with a 30 seconds sample (not a problem you can solve easily in this vid, i know).
I don't find Deep House influences in the examples you used for Deeptech, they just have deep sounding bass.
The examples used for Bass House actually sound quite different, both the bass sound and the rhythm are different. I struggle to understand the label so i won't give you instructions about it, just saying it's not really clear.
Also (this isn't your fault as it's common use), i'm always against geographical genre labels cause no genre is really exclusive to a place and especially not big genres like house, f.e. i struggle to find proper differences in sound between US Classic House and oldschool Euro House.
Sorry if this was long, i still enjoyed your vid, mainly cause i got to listen to subgenres i usually avoid that are not that bad after all. :)

No, first of all, Future House is a subgenre of EDM. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with trance. The golden years of future house were in the period from 2015. As I said, this genre has a rather metallic and bass-heavy sound in the drop. Famous artists who have shaped this genre are above all Tchami and Oliver Heldens, but also Don Diablo. Later, however, future house changed. The metallic sound was produced less. It has become more melodic so far. Some people also often say that they want to listen to future house with a more metallic and bass-heavy sound. That's why the name Oldschool Future House has developed. Great video! I'm new to house music, and trying to figure out which subgenres I'd like. I found the older, groovier house music to be more appealing. I loved that you included TWO examples instead of just one. Most videos only have one, and it can be hard to figure out the genre based on only one example

Good compilation, but I think it's ridiculous how obsessive some genres are about categorising. I think most of these "subgenres" have been coined after the fact, more so to describe the "scenes" of certain regions in different time periods, and some of them might not have any sort of musical connection whatsoever.
I'm pretty damn sure that most of these artist never intended their music to be of a specific subgenre, they were just creating hosue music with their own flavour to it. Overall I think it's harmfull if we train our minds that music should be categorised this strictly. I think it makes us more close minded and wary of creativity.

I think most people would say microhouse, minimal tech and whatever minimal prog is one genre.
Good choices. However Tropical House is missing. (Kygo for example)

What you are describing is often called Progressive House, but It's actually Anthem House with some Melodic Prog influences.

It's simply a form of Prog that only plays 8th notes in the bass and pluck chords. You could argue that its just a subsubgenre of Melodic Prog maybe, but I thought it was unique enough
