I have a jeep Sahara 2018 so it has two speakers in the window to knee speakers, and two overhead speaker and a subwoofer so do I need a five channel amplifier to power all my speakers
My friend who owns a car audio shop built custom boxes for my 2021 Sahara to replace the dinky 4" knee speakers with a pair of Rockford Fosgate Punch series 6"×8" 3 way speakers , replaced the sound bar with a pair of Retro Manufacturing R-TB8 full range speaker boxes ( two 8" woofers and two silk tweeters) and one Power Bass 10" sub . The whole system is running off of a 2500-watt 5 channel Cerwin Vega amp, and it thumps hard.
I have a question for you buddy I have some mtx terminators dual loaded enclosure the subs are 400rms and 800watt max 4ohms would this amplifier be sufficient? From what I'm seeing and understand I think so but I wanted to see what you thought
Would this be ideal for my 99 single cab has 1 6.5 infinity in each door and I custom mounted 6x9 is the rear pillar total of 4 speakers I also plan on adding 2 12 subs would this handle I’m new sound systems I wired up the speakers like factory except the rear right pillar it wasn’t getting enough power so I wired that to my passenger door speaker wire it sound pretty good as of now but I want to go better
@@stereomojo I don’t know it’s just the stock speakers from a 5th gen Camaro. I thought it was cause the voltage was bad since it had a battery that was old. So I bought a new battery. Then I replaced the alternator cause my lights would still flicker. I also put 4 gauge wiring and a better ground but it still goes into protect mode 🤣 and it also makes a nasty buzzing noise when no music is playing
@@trappster48 i fixed the problem :D turned out the camaros have shitty ground cable from the battery. i added a second ground cable and replaced the bolt that connects the ground cable to the chassis.
@@trappster48 welll im back 5th months later that second ground for the battery to the body fixed the light flickering but the amp started going into protect mode again... haha i removed it from the car and i plugged it into a powermax power supply and played music at full volume for hours and never went into protect mode.. i dont know what it is about my car that makes it go into protect mode.
Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate and test this amp; I just got it for Christmas. I have a 12" 400watt RMS Power subwoofer. Do I just pick "channel A", and bridge it to the + and - terminals?
Hey, I just bought the same amp for Christmas and I have 2 8” speaker and 10” subwoofer. The sub is being Bruges on B channel a the 2 speaker are on channel A
Running great, do to Amp being limited to adjusting ill have to buy some crossover to make it sound less bright. I also have a cheap Walmart pioneer stereo that really doesn't adjust great, that also makes a difference. Overall its a great Amp for small sound system.@@EriVibes
I've been using aftermarket car audio all my life and I'd recommend taking a look at some of the class D mono amps for your kicker subs. If they're 2 ohm dual voice coil you can wire them to 2 ohms on a 2 ohm stable rated mono amp. Reason I say go w/class D mono amp is they drain less power and are more made for subwoofers. I use an AB amp (this same pioneer) for my mids and highs @70 x4 @4 ohms and its pretty loud. You'll get harder hitting bass and more efficiency from a mono amp than a AB amp for subs. I always go slightly over the RMS wattage on my subs because if they're decent subs they can usually always handle more power than what the RMS is and when I've done this they always sound much better. Pioneer has mono amps. Check them out. If you get a 1200 watt class D mono amp which kicker and pioneer both have, your subs will be able to operate wonderfully. That's what i do. Aim high. Many amps do not do what they claim. Kicker CX amps are solid & are right at or just a few watts less than their rating. Always look at specs RMS. Max is bs. RMS is accurate.
I have ran a pioneer 8604 4ch amp= more powerful than this amp, and is 1 ohm stable, which is rare for a 4ch. Amp. I ran it setup as a 3ch. I wired the front, and rear driver side 4 ohm speakers parr.= 2 ohm load, to ch. #1, then ch. #2 the same way, on the passenger side, Highpassed @ 80Hz. Then i bridged ch. 3 and 4, and ran 2-10" single 4 ohm voice coil subwoofers, wired in parr.= a 2 ohm load @ the amp= 1 ohm load bridged, it sounded Awesome!
Awsome test buddy i still have my gm 3400 and gm 4200 old school pioneer amps are the best
Need to test boss phantom 3000 I'm not sure what it does at 4 ohms hooked to 2 10s Rockford Fosgate
mine rings really bad any ideas?
OH ! thank you and good work testing these amps, give me a bell if you test any big boys, please ?
That thing would jam front/rears or front/rear with some midbass plenty imo.
I think so too!
Isn't that what it's designed for?

That’s the box that only has 1 terminal for both subs right?
I do miss the old Ohm + tuning fork symbol of pioneer.
I just picked up two 6 x 9 Pioneer speakers. What’s the best pioneer amplifier to get with the base knob? I think I need a five channel.

It also has an after marketer blue tooth head unit not sure what brand it is it came when I bought the truck
Does that mean you can only power four speakers
i have not cracked my windshield yet but im working on it, then i can turn it down just a little ! lol
Thank you very informative
Mines shutting off when I bridge it
Any idea why ground is good power is good but I feel like it has to do with my high output and how it’s wired

That stinks. Is the ohm load correct?
