y'all beat me to it with this 😭😭😭
Are the tires brand new?
How bout some Rays 57CR wheels to pair up with ur Conty tires, Ben?
Here I was thinking it should be every time "buddy" is said
Lmao .. funny thing . I can totally see ppl doing this , then a few days later the fed-ex truck shows up with a brand new set of tires , that you don't need yet , cuz you just put new tires on a week ago .. ya know right b4 ya drunk bought these 😅😅😅😅.. peace and keep having fun all
Im sorry but you guys are youtubing wrong this rebuild shouldve been a 30 part series spanning two years where you ultimately dont finish and start a new project!
(Don't finish and send it to SEMA anyway)
binky?
LOOKS LIKE A TAVARISH THING
And you've never finished a single one of your own builds, but this guy MUST do 20 builds for your viewing pleasure in 1 year right?@@MatrixBreak4324
70 million views guaranteed.
Needs to be flood damaged though.
This is the comment where 1 like is 1 vote for Mark to get his own build
Yess
This format of videos is SO much better than the dragged out 40-part series that other channels do. So cudos!
you're right
Thats why we love G&G
Direct shot at Tavarish? Lol
Ikr? "Today i install my front bumper!" And its a 20min video of him talking about everything else but the bumper
mighty car mods would of made this a 3 year series
That door handle.. please don't change it! It's like a badge of honor for this xar. A piece of history. A talking point. Because everybody will point it out! What can be greater than a combo of a good car and terrible story! :D
Even better it's on the drivers door. A gentle reminder of track dangers every time you get in.
Fuck you know what I agree! That and the rear bumper diffuser trim piece will be what give the car its track characteristic!
i came here to say this! keep the door handle pls!
I agree!
😂 was just about to comment the same thing
First, I love the fact that Mark carried this episode with being the focus and narration. He’s come such a long way with the team and shows that he belongs at G&G. Secondly, the cinematography was spot on as usual. Bravo fellas 🤌🏽
I've been watching for quite awhile, but is this the first time we got Mark to do a voiceover?
@@jackymok4848 yeah, i think so
Couldn't agree more
@@jackymok4848No I believe it's either the 2nd or 3rd time. First time Mark had a voiceover was the Honda Beat engine removal video
@@jasonting8112 ah thank you! Gonna go find those to rewatch because we just hear Ben and Ben all the time, it just slips my mind
Every Aussie staying up till midnight for these
Its 9:50pm here in my bit of Aus!
1am in bris for this
We sure are
As an American I didn't realize australia is literally the size of the US until reading these comments about time zones. I am a bit shocked
@7:35 I was one of 4 supplier engineers working on the metal part of the door. So probably 25-40 engineers once you consider other suppliers and oem engineers
Dude Steve knocked it out of the park with the panel alignments. It looks like it was never wrecked
Mark killing it on the voiceover. Love your work guys.
Tell Mark not to worry. Honda SRS systems are self healing and do NOT need to be programmed. If all mandatory replacement parts were replaced according to the Honda service information deployment list, the light will just go out by itself. The only thing that has to be done after a collision is the occupancy sensor recalibration. By the way, 2 new front crash sensors are part of the mandatory replacement parts list. I can forward this to you if you want it.
This is not by any means true lmfao 😂
this is the type of content we needed instead of 'pimp my ride' at the time hahah, y'all are single-handedly changing internet automotive content, one video at a time.
17:14 the ratchet sound lining up with the song is chef’s kiss
You’re a cornball dawg.
The fact that yall gave Mark narration time was awesome. Please keep Mark involved like this in builds. And let him have a build series. He’s a blessing to the group, and the channel.
Everyone needs a friend like Mark , he’s a great addition to Gears and Gasoline 🔥🔥
Car sitting there barely 50% done
Ben: we gotta mod this thing
Mark: ohh I love it when you talk dirty to me
🤣🤣
id keep the door handle like that as a piece of history. I know its not "your" history, but its a nice reminder of where the car has come from.
Thanks for saving this CTR! Fantastic work. Amazing how many modules, sensors and safety equipment gets trashed in an accident.
“No splodey splodey, so that’s good.” is a phrase that applies to many more situations than you may think
So, Mark is narrating stuff. Neat! Brings so much depth and presence and even more personality, an improvement to something already great!
This style of content is unique to me, it reminds me of tv shows on say motortrend or something id see my dad watching, but a little more real and less tv'y. mark is a chill dude
konig tantrums 🤪
18:19 i like it when Mark vents off his feelings about vents that don't vent
So much respect for guys like Mark, I am sure that so many channels have unsung heroes so I am glad this man gets the attention he deserves
Genuinely the best motoring enthusiast TH-cam channel out there. The progress you guys have made over the years is amazing.
Keep it up!
Take a shot every time Mark and Ben say "brand new" 🤣
*dies from alcohol poisoning*
A VoiceOver by Mark!? That is fantastic!!
And Ms. Thorn helping!?
Man, this video is really wholesome somehow. G&G seems even more like a big family in this one. ^^
I’ll say it again I love that you guys brought Mark on…such an incredible addition to the team.
mark character development is one of my fav part of this series and other series.
You're a hero for saving that CTR 👏
S10k and Type R road trip for the honda boyss
Massive shout out to mark, how comfortable he became on camera and now voice overs!
Ben loving this series and the production quality is stellar! I work at a collision center in Georgia and I actually specialize in scans and recalibration on all the ADAS, SRS, and ECU components in vehicles. Would love to bring this car back to its factory state and make sure its safe and fault free moving forward!
Happy Saturday. 💪🏾
Great way to start my morning! A video from gears and gasoline and a cup of coffee
Saturday mornings are reserved for coffee and Gears and Gasoline.
Your care for you crafts translates through the screen, the cars, the videos, and the teamwork. ❤
After this series, I would love to see more of Mark's S2000 on the channel
As a tech when it comes to seatbelts and airbags always torque to spec as these safety items can be the difference between life and death in the event of a crash. Love the content G&G ❤
The way the pieces snap back into place is such a satisfying feeling.
For the new wheels get OZ ultraleggera HLT
GET SPOON WHEELS!
GnG dropping asmrs every weekend is one of the things I always look forward to
Your guys' videos are so much more enjoyable to watch compared to other channels. Others feel dragged on, filled with fluff and lifeless at times; while you guys just do something. Personal prefernce or not, don't stop what you guys are doing.
Vehicle homologation engineer here: Have you guys replaced the EDR??? Event Data Recorder module. A bit more than just a recorder, blackbox style, it's the unit that also calls emergency services in the event of a crash. Not sure if it's in U.S. vehicles though, but it's mandatory in other countries.
Saw the thumbnail and immediately clicked!
I’m enjoying this series so much. Thank you ❤
Makes my morning better always
Hope some cavity wax gets put in there to protect everything that wasnt painted
Great video guys! Such an inspiration to start building and modding!
Great stuff, love warching these guys work
Love to see Mark's open attitude when approaching the doors. I've been wrenching on my Honda CB500X and find the same little things to appreciate about it
This was absolutely masterful. Loved every minute of it.
The piano Jazz at 1:07 minute is so clean
Having myself the previous Honda Type R generation puts a smile to my face seeing you guys putting this one back on its feet.
Love your content and keep up the wonderful work
Great rebuild series. Really enjoying the content this year.
I’ve been watching these as they come out since part 1, keep up the good work 👍🏻 these videos are a treat
Great content guys. I love JDM cars. Thx !!
Mark on the voiceover! Bro's really cooking on the channel
Hood struts are heavier than a hood prop, Mark! Type R is about that LIGHTWEIGHT! LOL
Regards from Brazil! You guys are amazing! So cool watching to this 🤩
Absolutely love that Mark did his own voice over!!!!!!!!!!!! Let this man build his own car next!!!!
great series, i really appreciate this car getting fixed right.
Great video. Love the classical music
These videos are so engaging. I've been following this without even noticing lmao dope car
Watching this on my tv while I’m on my phone commenting and I’d just like to say I loved this series so far definitely beats waiting and eternity to see builds get completed. Keep it up guys wish nothing but great success lots of views and another million subs if possible 🤙🏻
This is an amazing series loved watching steve do his thing, love seeing mark do his thing
Hey Ben, The side vents on the FK8 are functional but in a different way. While on the FL5 the vents allow for the air to be released that would normally be trapped in the wheel arches (helping with cooling breaks and reducing aerodynamic lift), The Fk8 takes air in through the hood to help flush out the hot air in the engine bay and funnel it out the side vents. While the FK8 side vents are not designed to reduce lift (like in the FL5) they still have a functional purpose. Thanks for all your amazing videos, I love watching all your content.
Another great video to start a Saturday
Loving the voice-overs done by Mark, it almost feels natural coming from him! Also, don't change the driver's door handle, it gives the car a bit of history. :)
unbelievable work..... looks so nice. Press on DUDE.
I was waiting for days for this videos❤
Nicely done guys.
Ben is seriously on a roll with those FUN FACTS LOL
Very well done!!!
Mark with the one handed wheel grab
Bro just send the seat cover to an upholstery shop to get re stitched. We use a special airbag thread thats a thinner guage and designed to break when an airbag goes off. Not only that but i can almost guarantee a better result
mark got narration, hell yeah.
This has been a satisfying and enjoyable series to watch, hats off for the production and dedication.
This is so awesome, it’s going to be a track beast for Ben
Loving your guys content! Seeing as you guys essentially rebuild every piece of this car, it would be fun to see a recap vid after all of this to understand which parts were worst to work on (airbags), most satisfying to work on (body work?), most surprisingly complicated (airbags or windows?) or something like that.
Mark is amazing doing everything for you Ben
Super excited for the series, appreciate it not being elongated into a million videos, under 10 minute gang, less goo
Beautiful car guys! Nice work
Can’t wait for the road trip in this beast 💪🏾🔥🔥
I enjoy Mark narrating his sections
Beautiful work, and nice shop! Congrats on the shop build and how it turned out! The og zx2 sitting in the back definitely feels like a teaser btw, let us see the og!
Let’s go 🔥🔥 series can’t wait for what’s next
editor killing it love this series
Love your videos bro
Honestly staggering how the quarter repair came together. Mega impressed!
Great work, chaps! Looks beaut 👌🏻
Great stuff - would love to see an in depth video on cost breakdown since there are so many variables here. Keep at it!
Amazing job on the rebuild! Keep the Door Handle as is as a small reminder of what this was but also this video makes me realize that i still really want one, issue being i am broke and just 19yrs old, ill keep dreaming
Absolutely mint. Great to see a car put back together other than going to be crushed. Great work editing and assembly.
best series you’ve ever made 🎉
Steve knocked that thing out of the park that rear quarter repair is fantastic.
This was so satisfying to watch
Love the FL5. Hoping to get one myself
The only other channel that puts in the quality work into rebuilding cars right 🤘🏻
Yes, more voice overs from Mark please!🎉
Thank you, short Ben, for showing us the new Honda Type R's quirks and features.
