      Thanks so much for watching and commenting. It is such a fun trail. Couldn’t pass up doing it considering I was in Greensboro with my daughter for a soccer tourney. That’s why I couldn’t go to MOORE.

      Oh man, I really appreciate your comments, Frank. It was great having my daughter with me to help capture video from outside of the rig. This trail has changed. It seems more washed out I spots, which makes it a little more challenging.

      @@FiveAngelsOutdoor That’s definitely good to know because my wife and I are going in June to do it. And on another note, we went to Sarah’s Creek this past Saturday and the road at the top after you cross the stream is washed out bad and now impassable for vehicles such as ours, my XJ sets on 8” of lift with 35’s and OX lockers with 4.88 gears front and rear and I wasn’t going to attempt it. It was nice to hear you speak of people doing things on these trails that they shouldn’t be doing because it ruins it for everyone else. Again great job on this video for sure my friend by you and your daughter!!!!

    Thanks for the video. Subscribed! From your videos, it appears we may live in the same region. I'm near Hendersonville, NC. My wife and I are always looking for exploring buddies. If you're close enough, contact us sometime. Anyway, I've done Hurricane several times and your video has me wanting to go again! I'd love camping out on the trail, but concerned of doing it alone. Happy Trails, Tony

    Real nice rig! I’d have to sell both my kidneys to afford it. Guess I’ll stick with my lifted ‘04 diesel Excursion until I win the lotto! 😂 Seriously, looks like a lot of fun and that Bronco ate up the trails.

      My sister has an 01 Diesel Excursion. That is a tank, will never die, and she could sell it today for more than she bought it!!!
      Have fun and get out there! I think your rig would be a little tight on this trail, though 😀😀😀

    Too funny we hit Hurricane Creek the same day at 1pm and when we went up to Max Patch roughly around 3:30 it was completely fogged in and misty rain. Ended up leaving there and going over to Old Buzzard Roost Rd.

    What happened at the big obstacle between the “rock/tree” and the muddy ruts near the end ? We took some vintage vehicles on the trip and got hung up on the one you didn’t include in the video.

    • @FiveAngelsOutdoor
      @FiveAngelsOutdoor  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah. A little bit of a brain fart. We made it through fine, my daughter spotted for me again, but I forgot to set up my tripod 😞 Was sort of bummed, but I was focusing on the trail. I had to run my passenger tire right along that edge, so that I didn’t run too high up the wall on the drivers side.

    Thanks for the video! How did you mount your pelican case to the side trailrax? I'm thinking to do the same but struggling to find a plug and play solution and worried about drilling and water and also don't want everything to fall out of it when I open it. Any insights you're willing to share on that mod I would appreciate it. Thank You.

    • @FiveAngelsOutdoor
      @FiveAngelsOutdoor  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have the PaxRax and I used the cross plate to mount the case. I drilled holes through the back of the case and passed a bolt through. I used rubber washers and it is still water proof. Worked out real well and pretty sturdy.

    What was the total time it took to get from one end to the other?

    • @FiveAngelsOutdoor
      @FiveAngelsOutdoor  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Less than three hours for the trail itself. Depends on how much you stop and a larger group could hold things up a bit. If you go up to Max Patch, then that adds 30-60 minutes and then you would have to add hiking time.

    Do you think a power wagon will fit down the trail. We will be in the area in a few weeks. Putting 37s on it Friday

    • @FiveAngelsOutdoor
      @FiveAngelsOutdoor  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have seen others that size make it through. Have a spotter with you or another rig, because there are a couple of spots where another set of eyes are pretty crucial.

      @@FiveAngelsOutdoor This is priceless information my friend, my son wants to take his yj with me to do hurricane creek and it’s had some major work done for off-road purposes and knowing the width of what we have to work with before going is very important. You have been a great deal of help for us both and we appreciate it so much, thanks again my friend and keep the great videos coming!!! 👍😁

      @@StandAloneAdventuresa YJ will have absolutely no problems. I've done hurricane creek twice myself and I'm in a JLU (moderately modified). A YJ is quite a bit narrower than a JL so unless you have super wide axles, you're fine.

      It ia insane that folks pay close to 100 to 110k for a a vehicle so they can take it off roading on trails like hurricane creek.

    • @FiveAngelsOutdoor
      @FiveAngelsOutdoor  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The last time I did this trail in September 2022 I did it in my Chevy Colorado ZR2 AEV Bison. It was fun back then, but the trail has changed a bit.
      The point of buying the rig is using it!!! 😀 No point of having one to use as pavement process or mall crawler.

      The Red Beast Wagon fit pretty easily down through there a few weeks ago with some minor pinstripes. I am most likely wider than the Bronco Raptor. I measure out at 84” wide from outside tire to outside tire…
