Thanks for watching. I think it states that because the rear of the seat deletes secure with brackets to the drawers. If you have something preexisting you may have to rig up some way to secure the panels. Without some sort of way to connect/secure, the deletes would not be too sturdy.

​@@FiveAngelsOutdoor yes the side doors go all the way up open and dont stop at a 90 degree angle as yours do... Just like the rear one

@@dirkscerri515 Guess it's just a different version, Alu-Cab has made some minor changes to the canopies over the years. The version shown here has no lighting in it for example where mine came with lights included. Did add LED-strips none the less but my side doors open up fully as well, something I like about it. I did replace the nuts on the locking mechanism on one side and replace them with ring-nuts so I could tie it down with a chain or strap if my awning is out so it doesn't bump into it. Only way to change it yourself is to swap gas struts.

Yes, we were and are aware. They have that to prevent all the meth heads. I have not had an issue so far after multiple trips. I would hope that a ranger would be at least halfway cool considering our awesome setup!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤪

@mayer7196 Question I seen your comment about dispersed camping is it okay to disperse camp at Hopkins prairie in a tent? Never been there but plan on going there in the next few weeks but I seen your comment about you have to be 100 ft away from your vehicle and water?

@ anywhere in Ocala’s National Forest requires you to be 100 fr away from water or your vehicle when disperse camping. Also keep in mind there are only certain times of the year you can disperse camp (you can’t during hunting season). Now are they strict? No idea. I am just telling you what the ranger station head boss told me when I asked what the rules were.

We barely scratched the surface. We were there for a group camping event, so this was a day trip out on the trail. There is so much to explore in this area. Looking forward to going back.

I need to get back up there. We did not spend much time on the trails. So many more places to explore!

These are pretty main spots and easily found on GAIA GPS. Hardly a secret. The trials we were on are tagged as part of the Ozark Overland Adventure Route which is pretty easy to find on Facebook. I get saving the secret spots 😀

Yeah I guess you’re right. But let’s not make easier for the people that trash it. Camped there last month and there was used toilet paper everywhere.

@ yes. Lots of downed trees and holes. The forest service people were extremely shocked to see me driving 4Runner alone there. It was a little challenging but lots of fun.

Yeah. I can picture that. The first time we went to hurricane Creek with out other rig, we aired down over by the homesteads. Will be a long time before anyone enters that direction due to Helene.

@@FiveAngelsOutdoor Yep. I-40 will be closed indefinitely. They said the west-bound lanes should be stabilized by the beginning of next year, which might be the earliest that HC could reopen if they allow through traffic on those lanes. Otherwise, it could be next October or years before anyone is able to enjoy it.

Typically, I keep an eye using the GAIA GPS USFS layer, but you can also check at the local ranger satin to the trails you are riding.

The cots we use there are just Coleman fits that we have had for some time. The have worked great and are reasonably priced.

We use a Coleman cot for the kids. They work out great and are not expensive.
