That looks like a beautiful ride to take. I hope to get out there and see for myself. I like the fact that you gave directions and didn't just show the trail.
Just did Old Buzzards Roost Road last weekend in the pouring rain in my 2019 Tacoma Off-road. (3" lift, 30" tires) maybe since it was raining the mud wasn't sticky/ packing, but never had any issues except some sliding. SO much fun!
Great video. Much wetter than it was last time we were there. The cliff at Buzzards cRoost is 😮😳! My knees were literally shaking when I walked out to video it.
Thanks! We felt a little dizzy standing there looking down! Stay tuned for the next video showing the overlook! It’s pretty sketchy! The wife didn’t even want to walk down there at all
It sure is beautiful up in them nc and ne tn mountains. Wish that I had more moved away 34 years ago and had stayed living in beautiful ne tennessee area. Just so glad to finally be moved back home living where I grew up in east end of Hawkins County, tn. Most of my cousins still live over off cherokee road in Johnson city on my denton side and on my mom's jonrs side most of my cousins live in the sulfur springs/ fairview communities.
Yes some people go up the trail from that bridge at the end and check out the buzzard roost lookout then do the trail. The trail will be more downhill if done that way. You will come out at the creek crossing where I started. Just watch out for dirt bikes and side by sides. I use Gaia GPS app
I don’t have one at all. We use our iPhones for all videos and we just hold the phone up there in the middle of the dash for those over the hood shots 😂 and try to hold it level and still
Check out part 2:

Love this trail. It’s a great getaway.

Thanks for watching! It was pretty fun! I’ll be working on Part 2 of the trip that shows the rest of this trail and the overlook off a cliff.
@@appalachhaun_adventures That sounds great. I'll be looking forward to it.
That entire part of the state is such a great area to explore offroad!
Appreciate the great directions at the beginning!
No problem! It’s hard to figure out where to go sometimes!
Waterfall is before second creek crossing hang a right this are is locally called the 12 mile strip

Nice! How was the water level at that bridge near exit 7 where the water can flow over/through it? Or did you exit that way?
@@appalachhaun_adventures we came in from that way. It was close but not flowing over.
Awesome video. I’m looking forward to seeing it myself.

That’s a fun trail. I’ve always know it as the Goat Trail, but the campsite where you aired down is one of my favorites.
That looked like a sweet spot to camp with the creek there
Nice video. That climb out of mt sterling creek is no joke. Camera never does it justice
Ya it’s hard to get the terrain to appear the way it really is hahah.
Tha KS for Sharing I'm going go Buzzards Roost trail in my Jeep June 2024
I hear that one spot is a lot worse now where my dad’s Jeep threw a wheel in the air.
Also known as the goat path for all the locals.. I like hitting trail myself. It's a fun lil ride.. I have been since November 2022
Ya, I thought it was a pretty cool trail!
@@appalachhaun_adventures are you kiddos from around this area?
@@opie2.0henry_chancesR from East TN
@@appalachhaun_adventures we are as well.. you all will have to yell at us next time you get out.. I don't have a FB but I do however have IG..
Went there last December. Those shelf roads are a lot scarier in person .
I cannot get the terrain or slopes to show up on camera! 😂🤷🏻♂️🤔
I believe it. Either way awesome video!
@@YonisJeep Thanks for watching! I appreciate it! Part 2 coming soon!
Was there a few years ago in my old 5th gen 4Runeer. Hope to hit it again soon in the new Bronco. Thanks for sharing.
Hey thanks for watching 😊 I love watching the new Bronco videos!
Note to self, take at least a change of slacks, sorry I missed that & your dad's dance, looks interesting. He has what I want to add being a Winch.
Ya I need a winch too! I think we have the same number 🤔 and we need a winch plate before we can put a winch on it
Does the gladiator have rear and front locker differentials? I like it but am leaning towards buying a chevy Colorado zr2 truck.

Yea my Gladiator does have both, but I didn’t use them on this trail any
How low did you air your tires to?
Mine in the white Gladiator were about 16 psi here. I can’t remember what my dad’s Jeep psi was. It wasn’t that low though
can you do this trail coming from the nc side, exiting where you came in?
What kind of gps do you have?

thank you! will be doing this, this weekend. I'll start from the TN side looks more fun @@appalachhaun_adventures
@@varietypbreview it could snow some looks like. I’d check that weather a little to see how that goes. There is a pretty good hill or 2 (not crazy).

@@appalachhaun_adventures lol ok just wondering 😀
Great videos just maybe need to air down more.
