    Adventure rider here. That was some pretty hardcore overlanding. Respect.

    I agree, the video is good, but maybe little less music

    Interstate 40 runs East and West.. I hope no one gets lost using your directions.
    I live in NC, my family's from there, we're the 6th generation, living north of Asheville on 6000 aces. Watch out for them Camo Dudes.. Especially the ones Whistling Dixie.. sitting around cooking up some mash.. Good luck guys..

    thanks for the video...thanks for taking the time to make and share. Both Jeeps are well put together....does this trail connect to max patch or did you drive up to max patch or go to parking lot and walk up?

    Hurricane Creek is one of my top 10 favorite trails in the southeast!

    Did Hurricane Creek in my JLU Sport w/rear LSD on 2" lift and 35s. Only issue I had was on the rock obstacle. You know the one. Started to scoot my rear end around a little and got a bit spooky but then the rear LSD kicked in and I made it up it. Fun trail.

    I see from your tshirt you’ve been to Ouray. Get to do any of the trails out there. Also I saw some badges on your Jeep. Which trails did you do to earn those

    • @gladventures
      @gladventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ouray is the absolute best place to go in my opinion!! We loved it there. We did a ton of trails while we were there but as for the Jeep Badge of Honor trails we did Engineer Pass, Imogene Pass, and Ophir Pass. We wanted to do Black Bear Pass but the day we scheduled it rained all day and I didn't have the nerve to try it in the rain. The 4th BoH that we have is from the Tread Lightly trail in Florida. Have you done a lot of BoH trails? We live near Windrock in TN but I've yet to try any of those.

    hey, great video. would you think a 08 tahoe on 2in of lift with 285/65/18s 4wd be able to do this trail?

    Looks like it was a fun trip! I need to get up to check this trail out someday. I'm over 5 hrs away (AL) but it looks like it could be worth the drive.

      It is really close to Ashville so you could make a killer long weekend out of it. Another idea would be to do Hurricane Creek and then make your way to Hendersonville, NC, which is about 1 hour away. My wife and I did a two-day adventure trip video on that area that you can find here th-cam.com/video/Q01Km-8E7UQ/w-d-xo.html

    Do you think a crew cab f150 can make it down the trails. Or is my truck to wide. I have a 2inch level with 33's.

    • @gladventures
      @gladventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think width would be a problem. My Gladiator is about 74" wide whereas your F150 is about 80" wide. There really wasn't a place that I remember it being within 6" of rubbing. The only worry I would have is the length and breakover angle. There's several places that I dragged the bottom so with your 33" tires and your shallow breakover angle it might make it drag more. If you have a wench I would say you could make it as long as you choose a good line. Maybe someone that has tried it with a truck like that will chime in and give an opinion.

      We've been through there dozens of times in f150's from 235/75-15 Goodyear p-Wranglers to 17-40 Ground Hawgs. We've run it in a VW Beetle and Subaru GL a few times. One crazy night we took a 1983 Nissan 200sx but had to do a transmission swap about 2/3 of the way through. Had to run home and pull it from another car and go back in and swap it. Made it out in time for work the next morning.

    thank you for this! been struggling as a new comer to overlanding finding spots close enough to me here in charleston sc! any other suggestions??

    • @gladventures
      @gladventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not made it to Charleston yet but I use an app call onX Offroad to help me find places to go off-roading. The app will tell you the rating of the trail which will help you decide if it is "easy" vs "hard". I did a quick check and it looks like there's a lot of trails in the Francis Marion National Forest that could make for some easy overlanding trips.
