    Chris you have taught me to enjoy painting again and also explore using different products. I would use the same stuff over and over again but you have opened the door to a different side of this industry that never even crossed my mind. Thanks for all that you do.

    I took all of your advice, it took me 2 months.. bad weather and exhaustion, also a 86 year old house lots of chipping , sanding cleaning... and peel bonding... and my very first time exterior house painting. I really appreciate all your help, it worked out great and couldn’t have done it with out you.

      If the house is older and it’s crusty to the max then it would take a solo painter a week or more to paint it and the price is more then most customers want to pay. You saved yourself a bunch

      @@lexandersantana8089 yes and I took my time with it. 1/2 the day usually was moving ladders. LOL I’m a petite woman so it was a workout and 1/2 and I really wanted to do a good job. So far happy with the results and this neighborhood it’s difficult to get good service. Then they usually they do a 1/2 assed job so this is why i decided if I want something done right do it my self. Chris gave me the confidence I can get it done!! I watched all his vids.... :) thank you, its kind of fun and painful at the same time.

    Love your shows. I had one fall from a ladder power washing a house, I had to set up my ladder on a brick patio with moss covering the brick the owners loved.. Needless to say my ladder slid from under me on the moss when it got wet, I also was not injured I had slight swelling with my knees as they slipped through the rung. I finished the power washing but had to take a day off to recover...

    So do you guys recommend sanding after first coat on a house with traditional siding? Will that make the finish coat adhere better? I typically dont but was curious if you do

    Not many real wood houses out there ? Also most re-paints involving cedar be it claps or shakes have ton of prep work and chalking. We don’t many of any hardi plank homes here. Tried PPG Timeless exterior out years ago it does spray awesome. Unfortunately we don’t buy paint at big box stores we like to support small local independent suppliers. Good video as usual...

    Honest question, I sprayed a huge front part of my weatherboard house second coat and realised I missed a part. Do I have to respray the whole thing or can I brush as I’m worried brushing will be a different texture? Any advice?

    • @daniellybeck8203
      @daniellybeck8203 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be smart to spray with can primer. Otherwise it could start flaking sooner than the rest

    • @Idahopainter

    Oh yeah once you’ve rode a ladder down the side of a house after it kicked out on you, it kicks in something inside you and you never let it happen again. Most of the time when I’m on grass even with my spikes kicked out I will pound a crowbar into the ground over the bottom rung for extra assurance and I will try to tie off to something when I’m on concrete or a gravel driveway..lol

    Hi Chris! Great job! I use PPG Timeless paint. It goes on 3 to 4 mil thickness. Many people ask me what brand of paint do I use? Pittsburg Paint PPG Manor hall. I normally recommend 2 coats! Cheers The gooseneck guy! Don
