Great install. When working on a 928 you always have to do some Macgyver Sh!t. LOL I've been considering Hans' Short shifter. I know Hans personally (super fun guy to party with!) and know that this SS is a very well designed upgrade from the original. I'm just wondering how the leather boot will look since the shaft is shorter. Will the leather look to too baggy at the bottom?
Hey Rick, I don't think it looks too baggy per se. I have an aftermarket new boot and while it does kinda bunch up, it's not noticeably bad looking in my opinion. I personally don't like the tall look of the original shifter, so going shorter was a no brainer for me. I'm planning on doing another video with some impressions and final thoughts, but waiting on some shorter spacers from Hans and will do the video after installing the new set. I'll have plenty of shots of the boot from different angles you can check out.
