That’s how cars were used to be built. Look for a video on TH-cam of the Aston Martin Factory, where they are building the Goldfinger James Bond car. Amazing!
Those round pop-ups give it a Herby vibe, seeing as you will be modifying just about everything it wouldn't hurt to give them a rectangle shape or at least square.
Perfect example of working through a complex process by breaking it down into reasonable steps. Beautiful work and tasteful design too! Thanks for the great content.
Great video, I love Lazze's bead roller. I took his stage 1 and stage 2 classes several years ago when he was in Oakdale Ca. He is like you, he loves to share his knowledge of metal shaping.
Hola soy Carlos Bermudez, desde Ecuador, aprecio mucho tus conocimientos y te agradezco por compartir desde ahora voy a seguir tu canal me interesa mucho aprender más de profesionales como tú, gracias amigo por enseñar..
Nice progress! I just realized the 928 is the famed model from Risky Business. You need a Tom Cruise reaction segment in your near-completion episodes!
Using Fine Line Tape is a brilliant add-on detail to Wray's tape-pattern method. I wonder if it could be done on the inside as well using fine low tack tape of a different color (if it exists) - as the first step prior to laying down the main shape-retaining tape.
**DON'T FORGET TO HIT THE LIKE BUTTON** Roger is keeping a list of those who don't leave a like and he's making kneecap appointments, free of charge. Bada Bing, Bada Boom. (Yes Roger is in the Italian Mafia) Don't forgetaboutit
Love this. Wish Porsche had done something more aggressive with the 928, rather than just adding blobby bumpers. Also, great call on the deep dish teledials!!
Hi, what type of welding did you do to join the custom metal and what type of aluminum do you recommend for fender fabrication ❤️, I love works like theses
Nice work very good design and technique. I really like metal work like you do. I like porche 928, the only thing I don't like is the head light when they are up... it make look the car like a frog....
pretty badass Crucible! As a 1980's kid this car is one of my all time favorites probably because of Risky Business. Solid blue chip investment car right now if you get the right one. Anyway, way better looking than any Strosek 928. Kuddos on a visually appealing wide body kit in metal. Pimp shit here! As a Swiss Cert Watchmaker I love it when I see a dying art in use!
Where did you learn the flexible shape pattern method? Looks like something Wray Schelin from Pro Shaper teaches :) That is a good thing. He is not a young man anymore, and having young men as yourselves practice the trade is giving hope for the future of metal art.
Hello, I was just curious if it would be easy or even possible to form fenders, doors, hoods, trunk lid, etc out of honeycomb aluminum panels? Considering that these panels are extremely rigid and very lightweight? If I already had these components in fiberglass I would think that duplication would not be to difficult. Unless the honeycomb panels are to difficult to form and work with. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks
The biggest problem with popups is that they almost inevitably quit working . And I'm pretty sure the reason that no one uses them anymore , is because the government-mandated daytime running lights . That and saving some money or too damn good reasons to buy a c5 Corvette instead of a newer one .
I’ve been watching this build since the beginning, it’s super cool. One of my all time fav cars. But I have a question… how does a shop like yours make money on a job like this? Did the customer pay like a million bucks for this? You might have already used that much up just in time spent on this.
It’s not close to a mil for that but it will be into six figures. There is a market for coach building in the restoration/restomod world. Others like Steve Moal or The Guild do more traditional coach building which is building a body from scratch. This one could either be a customer car or car built to flip to promote the shop and capabilities. I’m not familiar with these guys in the custom world but I’m a 60s-early 70s American muscle car guy. Don’t know much about the Porsche market except that it’s popular among collectors and enthusiasts.
Didn't read all comments and somebody may have mentioned that. Aren't the side panels and wings made of steel? Adding aluminium parts would/could cause dissimilar metals resulting potentially (especially in wet areas) quickly in rust. Didn't watch the complete video and didn't read all comments, apologies if that was mentioned and/or addressed (thin Insulation between the materials...)
This is super cool. I am SOOOOOO sick of bolted on plastic fender flares that go out of there way to look added on!! Beyond played out style if you ask me!
Too much talk and too little workshop! It just gets boring in the long run! This resulted in me fast-forwarding all the time! Hence no thumbs up from me unfortunately!

I discover this channel today.
The recipe that convinced me to subscribe:
- The 928;
- real artist's work;
- a 3d scanner.
That's bad ass !!!
And next, M120 v12 under the hood.
....with 12 individual throttle bodies
..and AWD, just for fun
I admire the people that can do that with fiberglass. But doing it with metal, wow, it's another level
I live for Saturdays mostly for this project. I’ve always been a 928 fan and steel widebody, it scratches me where I itch. 👍🏽
Yeah, not disappoint yet again.
I'm totally loving this series, and I feel sad when the video ends.
Keep it up 😉
The work you do is mind boggling. I truly didn't comprehend this level of craft and mastery even existed... it's truly artwork..
That’s how cars were used to be built. Look for a video on TH-cam of the Aston Martin Factory, where they are building the Goldfinger James Bond car. Amazing!
This is next level stuff, you guys should definitely metal widebody a Silvia. That would blow up your channel!
Those round pop-ups give it a Herby vibe, seeing as you will be modifying just about everything it wouldn't hurt to give them a rectangle shape or at least square.

Ryan took his Step 1 class years ago as well! Lazze is a great teacher.
I admire your vision and your craftsmanship with your hands and the tools is exceptional....😀😀 Greetings from the UK.
You have a new Danish fan! Love your work and seeing you guys having fun doing it. Awesome project! Thanks and happy Easter

Amazing skill. Can't believe how bad it looks before you have the final version.
Love The Pop Ups
I'm so glad you guys are getting sponsors keep up the good work boys

Those lights 🫠
These guys restore classic cars like Cecilia Giménez restores art.
Good stuff man. I have dreams of that 44f english wheel!🤩
The 928 in the scan with the headlights up looks like the bulb things from Pikmin. Love the series my dudes
Man, the passion you have for your craft is second to none. How many hours did this take you to do?
👏 🔥 👏 🔥 👏 🔥 👏
I wish you could do a final paint job with the maroon and polished aluminum, the contrast is better than most paint schemes

super cool project...thanks ...love youre videos
That's a very hard job to do on a car!!! Well done guys!!! Love it.❤
Serious skills there bud. It’s looking very nice! And def keep the pop ups!
Have you considered getting a single post lift? I.e. something like Stenhøj, they are into the floor but really good for bodywork shops
So interesting tricks and old school craftsmanship. Chip Foose did not show us the truth, hahahahaha. Greetings from Spain
I like to use Glad press and seal in place of the low tack tape.
Just found and subscribed to your channel today. Very impressive work and I can’t wait to see the finished product.
So interesting , and entertaining, thanks!

you should build AMG hammer body kit for C124. That would be epic
just found you today, subscribed on the basis of your mad skills, loving the look of the 928!
Awesome, thank you!
Would love one of these
I used to work on these back in the 90's. I saw this and my balls shrunk up like I just dropped them into some ice cold water. Subbed and waiting...
Love this. Wish Porsche had done something more aggressive with the 928, rather than just adding blobby bumpers. Also, great call on the deep dish teledials!!
Oh please get fixed headlights for this one. This is turning out so good.

You rolled a crit with than English wheel nice work😊
Pure art 👏🔥🙌❤
Awesome work! The car is going to be bad ass! This is a true widebody. Sad that people think screwing on fender flares makes a car a widebody...
Going to make molds off of the panels for resale needs of possible clients.
Cool

Any Update ? you can't leave us like that :)
I'm still clapping. When can I stop?
Loving this build but please give it a more tasteful paint job than the 996.
Exuse me sir.. what name pin to lock your metal sheet ?
🐸🐸🐸
Nice video as always, thanks for sharing your knowledge too
You could have just taped it to the new sheet metal and cut around it. You're starting with a flat anyways
👍🏻🍺👏
The coolest Porsche 928 is actually an all original unmodified and beautifully restored car. Not this abomination.
All that work would of been quicker to make a buck old school.
Pôxa fala muito e trabalha pouco!
Please for the love of all that is holy, get rid of those atrocious pop ups
Why are you talking over music bump bump BuMp BuummPP which is very irratating. Thumb down dude and I like Porches.
