I had a brand new 1967 Impala SS 396. The sticker price was $3,978. The only cars that gave it a run were a Chevelle or a Vette. I wish I had been smart enough to keep it, but to prove my stupidity, I kept it until 1973 and traded it fie a Hatchback Vega GT. It embarrasses me to admit it. The engine in that POS melted with the outside temp of -14 degrees F on NewYear’s eve six moths later. The engine was replaced, and I traded it for a Pontiac Grand Prix. Beautiful metallic blue with a white vinyl top and white interior, but it was no SS 396.
I got to see a impala ss in person what a beast
Tha Heartbeat of America!!!🗣🗣🗣
Could u put the trucks engine or the cats in the chevy?
I think this one had the big dog engine in it!
Pimp my Ride did a show on a '65 Impala. They put a 750 HP twin turbo Duramax diesel in it. Ran on french fry oil. It smoked a Lamborghini !!! This car would be a good match for the other Impala.
Not sure what elapsed time was, but it was epic. It still exists in TH-cam.
My first car in 1965 was a 1963 Impala convertible wanted a 65 bad but couldn’t afford it. 327 wasn’t fast compared to these, but the girls loved it!
I'm old school in I love the old impalas sweet ride
Love that 1965 Impala.
Nasty beast! But you don't do burnouts to heat up the tires there Lars?
A lot of those reaction times were absolutely glacial
That impala would be really tough with a pair of turbo and Holley Efi.
***Chevy---Best car made! '65 Impala---Best Chevy ever!***Period!***
67 is better
@@thunderbird4778 nope

My father owned 3 Impalas in the 60s, I miss the impalas...
fastest car id ever rode in was a 65 ss my friend had just put an engine he and his dad built ,we were 16 and he was in a hurry to take it for a run so he installed a duel "rain gutter downspout " exhaust and hillbilly as f we took it out and the telephone poles were flashing by so fast it was a blur -probably got it to 140
That's hell of slow turbo all the way now day's 😂🤣😔🙄🤔😁😤😤🤧
Good lookin ‘65! SBC with a Vortech?
Dean Is Creaming Himself Rn
Nice Impala for sure!!
That's one stupid looking Impala. My parents had a '65 Impala Wagon. I took the wheels off of my '55 Nomad and put them on the Impala. 5 spoke Torque Thrusts, looked cool. In 2000, I built a '65 Biscayne 2 door with a 550hp 454, 6 speed. I used Rally Wheels and caps. Real Hot Rods have 3 pedals.
Had a 65- 396. L87. Great American car!
The 65 Impala was on & on like pop corn with thick white wall tires a classic, love it, my mom had a 64 Impala SS back in the 70's you can't touch the classics, that's just me I love the oldies !💯
I love the wait at the Christmas tree green. Now we go? There is not another shade of green?
Beautiful sleeper. 😁👌🙏👍
