Damm...what a sleeper....my dad a brother both owned a 1965 Impala ..they were sweet cars..seems like yesterday it was 1980...I miss 70's,80's so much..Great video..thanks for the memory
The 65 Impala looks to be my old car, I had the SS, the rust worms got to it. lost the whole rear axle broke away, drove it to the wrecking yard. Upstate NY something 1972 there about owned two of them way awesome run: if I had to do all over, although I loved the two 65 Impala's I had, I think the 67 Biscayne with the 427 factor 4sp. 4/11 out of the factory would of been my pick, a friend of mine had one. basic rubber matts heater lights wipers was about it. fun days, this stuff today, I have no clue
Love racing at Beech Bend when they lay out that grape syrup on the track. I bet he puts white walls on it and goes fishing for suckers like Farm Truck. The car has a factory 4-link that wants to throw it off the line.
Not at all. I love a nice looking '65, and own one, but that machine is PERFECT just the way it is. I bet the drivers of those fancy cars have a smirk on their face when they come up to the line against it. That smirk is gone quickly in most cases.
Awesome car. I'd like to see it converted into an interstate cruiser. Obviously it would need proper gearing and an upgraded cooling system and have the suspension sorted. This reminds me of the Highwayman from the Fallout 2 game.
Nice Chevy Impala Car with plenty of power ... never saw a 9 sec 65 ever
Nick Scavo, look him up. Legendary Black 65. Went 8’s I believe way back in the NMCA days. Even kept it column shifted.

They are going all the way down the track! Full 1/4 mile test. Cool.
Ford guy all the way, but love Detroit heavy metal no matter the brand. What a sleeper.
I would love to do that with my 68 impala. I love it.
Rare to see a big HP / big car hook like that. Amazing!
My dream car 😍🚗
Anybody know where to get more details on this one? Not a lot of 9 sec 65's out there!
Look at the big girl get up!
Definitely moves out.
That Impala can hurt some feelings.
Trying my best to buy a 67 all original Impala right now, but wife is in the way!

Damn! Talk about dream car!
🤘
Nice set up looks like it works good together. I'm sure he can get more out of that motor with some more tuning on the dyno 👍🏽
AWESOME BABY!!!
What I love about Forced Induction V8s: you can strap one to a submarine and run 10sec 1/4 mile times on a BAD day..
Any way to get more information on the build? Building a 64

Total sleeper love it
To my buddy Johnny Hammond and his red on red, 4 speed , 65 ss impala hard top. - good times
very fast indeed pulling some weight as well. Hope that motor lasts! Thats a lot of boost.
They came stock with the 283 sounds like that one's got something way bigger like a 327 or a 396
Just awesome
Man that thing is mean
Mine was the same blue.
958 hp is good too move that tank 9.26 149mph that car faster than a plaid
Plaids are appliances....like refrigerators.
Nice. I put a 6.0 in mine. I believe we have the same heads. Can you tell me what turbo to put on to add that kinda of horsepower?
my friend wants to race me in his nova and i have a 65 impala. i need mine to do that lol
Naturally aspirated though. Stroke that 327 or put a bb in. No ugly LS motor. 65 Impalas are badass. I like the 62 and 68s also
@@m42037 too late already ls swapping it
@@nmlb_psychosis7137 Swapping what?
@@m42037 im ls swapping my 65 impala
@@nmlb_psychosis7137 Oh your trading your Impala for another car or swapping out the stock 327? I still don't follow you
Big fat Chevy HAULING ASS!!!
I love it!!!!
Badd Mo Fo!!
That's a bunch of metal to go 9.20's.
A modern engine can make even an older car body move. Now just some body work to make it look good.👍

Factory 4 link suspension? Curious on the set-up and gear ratio.
As far as I understand it had a few ungrades underneath but nothing to major I belive. But don't hold me to it.
Factory big block cars had 4 link. Small block cars had 3 link but it's easy to add the 4th
@@MrDmorgan52 I know. I did that to mine. Was curious if there was an aftermarket setup in it.

just another turbo, I like all gas hall ass
Sorry 350 turbo
Para mi es estupido arruinar a un clásico. En quemar llantas.
That ugly Cadillac was far from stock lol
Sad to see all that GARBAGE under the hood of a classic car.
That's not a 65 Impala.
Know you're cars or go
Home.
Surely that is a 65 impala i have the same car not as fast sadly but a 65 none the less
Yes, it is. Maybe you should take your own advice. I would be curious what you think it is.
