I just finished up my poison hammer also. I went with three lvl 5 atk, one lvl 6 sharpness, and one lvl slot. I’ve been playing around with coalescence since the Beta armor set gives you 2 blight resistance. Makes it easy to trigger. Think it works well enough.
Resentment does sound like it would go well with this armor set. I use one augment of Regen to minimize the health drain. So sometimes I heal more than health than I’m losing. I’ll still give it a shot and see if I notice a difference.
Last night was my first time being able to get into the siege, and I scored a Para Longsword with Master’s Touch. Was able to roll and keep Attack Up V twice, Affinity Up VI, and Slot Upgrade III. I’m feeling pretty lucky. In your experience so far, how often have you seen Master’s Touch?
You'll be pleased to know that I am now a SnS main, spam healing for my team so we can burn through Safi faster. Sometimes they just forget to stop hitting the monster and heal, so as long as I'm over there healing for them, they can keep the dps on and it's made runs really smooth and easy. I highly recommend for anyone having problems staying alive or having their teams stay alive that you try the build. Three piece Tigrex(or two piece Tigrex if you roll Tigrex Essence on a Safi SnS like I did), Wide Range lvl 5(I'm using the charm which actually isn't too hard to max), and Speed Eating lvl 3. Those are the most important skills, anything else is dealer's choice tbh. I personally recommend Tremor Resist 3 and at least lvl 1 Flinch Free, and if you're lucky Earplugs 5(but I haven't figured out how to add Earplugs 5 yet). Hopefully a lot of people see this and copy it somehow, because you rarely ever see anyone using a support build. It makes a drastic difference if someone's off in the corner guzzling down health pots. If you just have the one person healing constantly, the other three can focus on dps for 20 straight minutes, you'll clear the siege in two runs guaranteed. Just make sure they have partbreaker though, that's ridiculously important as well. Everyone doing dps needs to be running lvl 3 partbreaker.
being able to run a thunder hammer with diablos ambition on it with a gold rathian 2 set bonus and a diablos ambition 3 set bonus while running rajang head is just stunning.

Unlocks, mantles, palico gadgets, tail raiders, some weapons (cause they upgrade with the new monster paths) and any layered armor you want... so basically everything except armor sets are worth pursuing to some extent.

Talking about awakened weapons the greatsword looks amazing when awakened. It kinda looks like a parasite was growing on it so it caused weird infected fleshy bits when it’s unsheathed and it looks pretty nice. Then the bow (fire element bow specifically) literally looks like a bow from hell when it’s awakened (hence it’s name being safi’s hell bow) like the arrow pouch looks like a portal to hell then the bow itself gets massive spikes coming out of it with red flames coming out of it.
The poison lance is so good, I'm running atk 6, atk 5, affinity 5, sharp 5, and teo set for awakening. Modified the master touch set dropping the brute rex chest and teo waist for gold rath for the divine 5 for a little more comfort
I built a long shelling Safi gunlance, and I haven't seen anything beyond level 6 (I have a long shelling level 2 mod, and it pushes it to long shelling 6), a Zora skill slot, then I sunk everything into sharpness. It has a huge chunk of purple without any handicraft, and I am in love with the thing.
I'm currently using the Poison LS with Attack 6, 2 Attack 5, 2 Affinity 5, Health Aug, Attack Aug, Rec Up 3, WEX 3, Crit Eye 7, Crit Boost 3, Agitator 5, Att Boost 4, Peak Per 3, and Master's Touch. 100% Affinity with Rajang levels of Raw and no sharpness loss is so fun.
Any plans to update your weapon workshop tutorials? I want to try out some new awakened weapons but am struggling with including the new mechanics. Thanks mate!
hasten recovery seems like it would work well with the safi set bonus. or with a great sword have it augmented for health recovery. that way every time to chop you will get some life back.
Heres a tip, not sure for all weapons but i place a health augment on my LS it completely negates the health damage from the armor as long u dont miss the attacks
Still wish we would've gotten him as a black dragon. Especially as it seemingly being meta, would've been nice to have a weapons and armor that the only saturated color on them is your choice, works better for mixing and matching as black goes with everything, red does not. Also, having an almost Lovecraftian cosmic dragon as it kind of appeared in the teaser would be amazing. As it is, it does look awesome, though.
Hey there! Loved the video, very helpful! One quick question for gunlance. Do charged shells count toward the hit requirement for the healing? I'm still gathering the materials for the armor.
Get Teostra's Master's Touch on your Safi weapon so that it turns the Master's Touch armor skill into a 2-set thing. This will allow you 3 Safi Armor and 2 Teostra Armor for both Safi's 3-piece and Teostra's 3-piece set. I believe this is the #1 thing to do as with Master's Touch and 100% affinity, you'll never lose sharpness. Also, can you make a video showing off each Safi weapon's non-awakened AND awakened looks when you can? Would like to see all the differences.
Arekkz what console do you use on ypir vid for mhw iceborne? They all look freakin awesome. Im using ps4 pro but they are not like this. Thanks bro and i hope ypi could answer.
Simple fix. Use the boosters instead, especially the health booster. I've stopped relying on mantles as a crutch and the boosters at least can help your teammates out.
I've not had a chance to play since Iceborne came out. To the point where I tried playing again recently and found myself going through the Witcher storyline.. but stuff like this.. this is what always keeps the game fresh in my mind, looks glorious!
do you have to have the full armour set to activate the weapons final form? I keep hearing mixed reviews on it, some say you don't need a full set, some say you do. i missed out on the siege, only been able to rack up some of the upgrade items for the weapons. Also another quick question, what is the level for the Safi'jiiva weapons to change its form. Cheers
That bow is spicy af. Catch me with my cone shell quiver full of glowing magic arrows. Can't wait to see what the awakening on it is like, when I get the update on PC that is.
May be late to the party, but i wonder how many of you actually realize besides farming safi for weapons, you can actually craft them at the melder? I just started to actually craft once i have a certain of amount of safi materials
I've got duals with teostra bonus skill and made a mix set with three Safi parts and two teos. Works amazing but it's really dangerous, Imma try some healing augmentation
i would need to test it but im pretty sure with the attack melody 2 or bazel hunting horn the recovery speed song would basically negate that damage immediately
I just got my armor set from Safi and I love it I have 50% affinity when my switch axe is put away, I don't know what I am going to make my switch axe when it levels up to the point it awakens, any specific skills I can put on my weapon? It is a fire switch axe, with about 966 attack.
So does the set bonus only heal red health, or is it a true heal that goes beyond? And is there a time limit for getting to the hit threshold, or does the heal still kick in if it's been 10 minutes between the 9th and the 10th hit?
The water element Safi hammer actually makes sense now, it's crying so hard because you got sand into the eye that it damages monsters

One down side about this entire morphing armor look function is most of the time, when the armor morphs is usually under a mantle.
Simple fix. Use the boosters instead, especially the health booster. I've stopped relying on mantles as a crutch and the boosters at least can help your teammates out.
Recovery up should work i think that one that speeds up that red portion and with ressentiment it could be even beter and health regen for backup
Vaal set doesn't work with safi set as you can't regen health naturally (with weapon drawn)
greatest looking armor set ever made in any game, ever
I've not had a chance to play since Iceborne came out. To the point where I tried playing again recently and found myself going through the Witcher storyline.. but stuff like this.. this is what always keeps the game fresh in my mind, looks glorious!
Hey, I had a question. Do you restore more health when you slot recovery up?
Chloe Lolo If you have your weapon drawn the skill won't activate but if you have it sheath it activates. So depends on how you're gonna play.
do you have to have the full armour set to activate the weapons final form? I keep hearing mixed reviews on it, some say you don't need a full set, some say you do. i missed out on the siege, only been able to rack up some of the upgrade items for the weapons. Also another quick question, what is the level for the Safi'jiiva weapons to change its form. Cheers
3 piece safi and 3 piece teo (1 in a safi weapon) is what I’m running atm, pretty good so far
Just got my new long sword. SO MANY POWER UP OPTIONS!!! I'm not even a long sword main but I'm gonna use this thing until it goes out of style.
I'm a Insect glaive user. a lot of the glaives are cool but the the Safi glaive is the best looking one so far.
The set takes so much hp with the set bonus, feels like the health regen augment is the best
It pretty much mostly negates the cost of the 3 set bonus. Haven't gotten all 5 pieces yet so I can't say if the same holds true for that.
Im guessing the damage regen count resets with ls' iai slash? Since its considered a sheath. Idk i aint a world player
Yeah it does. :(
You can cancel the sheath with the sheath attack, the one where you hold it beside you and do those two slashes.
@@akkoXD That's still a sheath move
Still good when you use resentment and a health augment
Thank you Cacpcom for this amazing game!!
Finally what ı wait for . thx for good work.
Health Regen augment helps mitigate the self damage a little.
Fought Ruiner Nergigante for the first time, with Safijiva 3 piece and a greatsword. I won somehow
Imagine being a monster, and you see a hammer just... staring at you. And then looking manic as it comes for your face. Terrifying.
I've got duals with teostra bonus skill and made a mix set with three Safi parts and two teos. Works amazing but it's really dangerous, Imma try some healing augmentation
Finally a weapon that’s no bone or iron these weapons looks sick bro that’s what we was looking for
i would need to test it but im pretty sure with the attack melody 2 or bazel hunting horn the recovery speed song would basically negate that damage immediately
What are the shot counts for HBG/LBG? Does Spread/Pierce count multiple hits? Wyvernheart and Wyvensnjpe?
Will health augment recover when u r hitting? Or u still have to hit specific numbers to recover?
I just got my armor set from Safi and I love it I have 50% affinity when my switch axe is put away, I don't know what I am going to make my switch axe when it levels up to the point it awakens, any specific skills I can put on my weapon? It is a fire switch axe, with about 966 attack.
when the eye is open in the weapons it reminded me that character weapon Nightmare's sword from Soul Calibur
@Arekkz, does the 3-set bonus still do damage40/heal65 or is this also halved?
So does the set bonus only heal red health, or is it a true heal that goes beyond? And is there a time limit for getting to the hit threshold, or does the heal still kick in if it's been 10 minutes between the 9th and the 10th hit?
Safi(hears Boss Music): Oh No!!!!!!
AREKKZ: So you have chosen death.
It takes 6 hits for the LS to heal (iai-slash counts only as 1 hit)
