The hammer looks amazing, especially how the eye glows when your at full charge. It goes from soul edge to the eye of sauron. Edit: Speaking of Soul Caliber. Damascus layered armor plus Safi Greatsword could make a decent Nightmare cosplay.
The designs on these weapons are just INSANE! I especially like the long sword. It’s looks like something you’d have to fight some sort of ethereal space creature to get! Badass!!

isn't there like 4 guys on the actual weapon design team for world/Iceborne ? They are probably not responsible for actually modeling the weapons but resources were definitely put elsewhere , namely the environment I would guess ,monsters , armor and finally weapons , In that order . MH6 will probably have better weapon designs as they'll probably put more people for weapon design and modeling
One of the coolest things about the Hammer it’s that at the time u do a lvl 3 charge, the eye will glow in a hot orange and the pupil will be more narrow ish
it might just be personal bias, but I'm really in love with the Long Sword. So far I've gotten 7 separate variants of it too, one for each element except Fire and one for Poison, Sleep and Blast status
I've got all longsword awakened, and man (or girl), the dragon, thunder, water and poison ones are my favourites, especially thunder, that neon turquoise glow gives it a really eerie appearance which I absolutely love

Honestly anyone else feel that safi gear feels like throw backs to Fatalis armor lore? Lore use to say wearing the armor would eventually consume the hunter and devour him allowing Fatalis to be reborn into the world, I feel "awakening" the weapons does something similar even in defeat safi still has a connection to the world and its gaze sees all.
I'm in love with the Safi greatsword, I got it to 71% Affinity as it's base and just shy of 1600 raw thanks to awakenings so it's looking good. And I'm busy upgrading the beautifully disturbingly cool hammer so I can bash in monsters heads with freaking sauron's eye. Can't thank Capcom enough for allowing me to use a sentence like that
LBG still giving me some serious Phantasy Star weapon vibe on it which is really awesome, especially when it's awakened. Should get my Aquashot finished up for that sweet Awakened look.
I'm so glad they went full fantasy with this one, honestly Safi itself looks like the classical Fantasy dragon (first time I fought him, going in blind, I was like "OH SHIT THAT'S SMAUG"). I get the "realism" thing at lower ranks, especially with low tier monsters such as Great Jagras, but this is how an endgame weapon should look like (yes, I'm referring to classic Xeno weapons in base World, those were such a disappointment since the armor was so beautiful)

I'm a huge fan of Sofi'Jahovey. These weapons and armor not only look really cool, but they're so fun to upgrade/tweak. I haven't made any armor yet but I really love the look. What Capcom has done with Iceborne is so impressive. I can't understate how they perfectly balanced the big jump in monster strength/ability and the big jump in our toolkits. Things like Mantle+ and limit breaks on certain skills, the abundance of quality weapons, the new decorations....I have had so much fun with this second part of MHW. I can't even imagine what else is coming and I (almost) don't care because I've got a looooot of stuff to grind and it's all been fun. *Capcom, runnin' shit since '79.*
Put an Odogaron layered helmet and you can cosplay Dante's Devil Trigger (The SDT one). I wish that there is an option in the game where when you unsheath your weapon, your layered armor will disappear and your armor will be shown. That would be badass asf. Imagine that your layered armor is Dante and then you unsheath your weapon and activate your Devil Trigger.
I'm pretty sure that we won't see any new monsters besides Fatalis Its possible that he may have some insane set bonus or something but I won't hold my breath on it. Unless we get Arc Tempered Safi this is probably as strong as were gonna get

@@robardian3697 Yes they said we'd get another year of content but base World worked the same way In a years time we got Deviljho Lunastra And Kulv Taroth As new monsters, everything else was event stuff and Arc Tempered Elders So far for Iceborne we got Rajang Styg Zinogre Safi'Jiiva And I'm sure were gonna get Fatalis but that hasn't been confirmed, only hinted I hope im wrong, Id love to have new monsters but I really don't think were getting more besides maybe Fatalis

Man when I seen my LS awaken for the first time I was so hype, it looks AMAZING!!!! I thought Goldian LS was op but this thing? Omg Safi weapons are the craziest powercreep I think Monster Hunter as seen
It isn't too drastic, but the powercreep is definitely there. It's between 1-5% more damage compared to before with how much damage we could already pump out prior to Safi :p

Hammer Hunting Horn and Charge Blade are my favorites because the eye reminds of the G Virus and a bit of Soul Edge. :D Not a huge fan of the set but I use it every now and then. Plays like a Bloodtinge build in Bloodborne, high risk with high rewards. Still like watching people forget about the Set's Effects and forget the heal XD Maybe they will fix it in the Arc Tempered Version because they are mostly likely going to make an Arch Tempered Safi Jiva
They did really fkin well with everything Safi related. I have no reason not to use about every weapon type now. I played 8 of them before finding, my boy, the SwAxe in 4u. I briefly played original MH, besides the point, this is probably the hypest I've gotten since Gog and Dala, still hoping we get Dala in Iceborne. But I'm a happy Hunter with current Safi, I only just noticed the other 4 eyeslits that do not open. We may get another 1 or 2 versions, one basically another step up, tempered difficulty equivalent spike and then maybe it's 'final' form, full black dragon, turns out, it's Fatalis... Lol What if though? Baby Fatalis, prepubescent data, teen data, full grown Fatalis... What if the beam is the immature flames and the emperor's star is a small taste of it's full world Fatalis breath? A torrent of flame that 1 hit kills? Uhh I'm about to go throw this idea around... But yea Safi weapons, and systems like melder, and from look to mechanics this has all maid me happy, wild speculation aside.
Been running the Hunting Horn, so bad ass. Everyone is like "Why do I have so much stamina, why's my attack so high...people use Hunting horns?" I like to call it the Support Hammer lol the new spin move is sick
I have a super healer build I use with my horn Tigex setbonus for free meal level 3 Max friendly jewel (wide range) Max gobbler jewel (speed eating) I'm popping potions and adamant seeds and might seets and all of that so fast that my team never dies and they have tons of damage and the free meal gives me like 20 to 30 potions instead of 10
When are akantor ukantus(something like that) white fatalas set coming to world cant wait boyyyyy Also alatreon ofc.. A DLC of elders elders haha So much potential to make world expansion massive I get it though if they wanna save it for another monster hunter title but world is so amazing they should keep feeding it tbh

I LOVE the Soul Calibur/Soul Edge vibe these weapons have. I am in love with these designs
- Soul Edge-like weapons.
- A Malfested-like zombification system that buffs you like a berserker.

still better than what sns got. You got dots ad ghost wrappings. I just painted my weapon with some neon paint and not even in cool way.
