And now in its eleventh-generation, the Honda Civic is tasked to pick up from where the wildly successful tenth-generation FC left off. So? How did it fare? Are we looking at another winner or did it succumb to the “odd number-generation curse”?

Initially I preferred the FC's look over the FE. But now, the FE's look has grown on me and I prefer it over the FC 🤣

All specs don’t have blind spot monitor (yes got blind spot technology for honda but using lanewatch but only using for left side but not better than blind spot monitor), rear cross traffic alert, 360 degree camera, dual zone automatic aircond control and temperature degree status like Corolla Altis and Mazda 3.
Had e spec for 2 mths. Remarkable drive. Road noise is less n comfort also better then the larger wheel version. Civic FE change my mind that car is only to reach a destination.

@@peminatwangian fuel consumption I did not really monitor. As for nvh, it’s a quiet car to me, but the Continental mc5 tire noise on the V spec is there.
In FB groups many complaining about wind noise, but to me this car is just a Japanese c segment . I wouldn’t nick pick that much.
Got my K3 2.0 one of the first owners in 2013 bad experience for me sold of at a high loss in 2016...so sad
Good car but beware of steering rack and other quality parts
In my 25 years of being alive in this universe the current generation of Civic is by far my favourite and the one I’d probably buy if and when I got the necessary things in life. It’s elegant, yet sophisticated.

I booked the RS in March 2022. Still waiting for it. The waiting time is insane and the sales advisor doesnt know when my car will arrive.

Dealer A : 9 months (until now no news)
Dealer B : 5 months (car will arrive 22 Dec)
If the spoiler automatic raise up based on speed, no 2nd thought.

Been driving it for 8 months . I have send it twice for the steering, once for seat rattle. The seat comfort are remarkable hard n not comfort for long distance. Being a honda its has very soft n bouncy suspension. Especially in windy road n bumps.
Are you sure? You have V or RS? Because many reviewers claimed new Civic suspension is firm comfort not super soft like usual. Firmer body control, less bodyroll and wallowing. In fact I test drove today and couldn't believe it's a Honda. Feels 70% of Volkswagen Passat
Because of honda quality. Anyway, still never buy honda again and I already drove but city gm6 but to pay more by going to Honda workshop since there are so many issues.
@@royalprince5878 mine was Vspec. If thru bumps n uneven roads its really feel the bouncing,. Really need to slow down whenever hit the road bumps or else it will hit the underbody. In straight road n highway the the excitement come from the acceleration..

Not just that sedan is also more comfortable
Although I like this Civic FE compared to 🦀, but still it is not comfortable enough for a family cause the seat position is still very low and thin. The rear middle seat has high centre tunnel. I guess on this department Altis still a winner in term of comfort for long distance drive.

Agreed with the wireless Carplay side. New HRV doesn't have wireless Carplay but offers Qi wireless charging as an accessory, i mean what the heck? Honda Malaysia's logic is epic lol.
HRV and Civic:
- No blind spot monitor
- No rear cross traffic alert
- No temperature meter
- No full digital meter
- No 360 camera
- Cheap quality than Toyota and Mazda
HRV:
- No power tailgate like Corolla Cross have
- No front parking sensor like Corolla Cross have
- Boot space is too small than Corolla Cross
- Not comfortable than Corolla Cross
Civic:
- No dual zone automatic control like Altis and Mazda 3
Mazda 3 💗
Civic have not many safety equipments can be found from Mazda 3 and Corolla and Elantra, except all C segment cars got Sensing Safety Features

An almost perfect sedan if not for the CVT. Would hv been nice to hv a good ole torque converter auto ‘box.
Honda cvt quality also got issues.
The ride is not well damped. Drive it for more than one day you’ll see people. This car handles nice but you should just go with the Mazda 3 instead. I m here wishing I did.

Ride is on comfortable side of firm as he said or firm side of comfortable. Similar to Volkswagen Passat Elegance. Strikes a perfect balance of comfort and handling

variable valves. Got big valve got small valve, the car decide which valve to use depending on your input

Suv couldn't compete actually, except the x50...but the mighty stance of sedan fe is deal breaker here, masculine to the max...that's only could take ur heart, to make u sway from mazda3 mini cockpit n x50 panoroof, so u should be picking the best in class cabin of this fe with complete package of knocking noise here n there due to lack of quality from factory, but still can be solved with frequent visit to sc~ all in all this is the only sedan that eventually could shift compact suv segment guy, including myself to even consider this uncomfortable low riding machine as no1 choice!
Something is not right bout exterior design. Kinda weird looking as if two teams were given the task to design the front and the rear. As a result, it looks retro and strange!
Style and looks are definitely subjective because I find this look amazing and so satisfying. The only thing that annoys me are the seats, at that price they should be more comfortable and even add leather tbh.

FC is nice looking except the rear light. FE came n got it right. Looks premium n classy too. 2 weakness. road noise at highway speed is loud. Rear camera resolution is 3rd world.
And got lots of quality issues for Civic FE. Besides, steering rack, got other quality issues such as loose parts including door panel, ceiling parts and rear aircond, honda cvt, wind noises, rattling sound, car body like tin milo, front parking sensors, camera resolution is also poor especially for reverse camera, paint quality and others
Lanewatch camera as well. While honda overseas already upgrade from lanewatch camera to blind spot monitor but here, honda are still selling with lanewatch camera while all brands already got blind spot monitor
Luckily I don't have much problem except honda over inflated all 4 tyres to 300kpa. Harsh ride. Road noise. A Passenger gave bad review. I Thought that I bought wrong car. After 2 weeks of discomfort, I corrected to 220 kpa. All good.

still FC is the best mass made vehicle; yes few downfalls like NVH is poor, body roll poor but all these can be fixed.

Bro I think u need to change your 0-100km/h testing device. It is wrong. Go and see veron kong channel. Fe won against fc. How come 8.8 and 8.2 discrepancies as u said. Last time u tested civic fc and clocked in at 8.6s but I am able to get 7.9s for my car without a single mod
the use racelogic using real time gps based apps which is really accurate. ur 7.9s got from speedometer reading is fake as they tend to be optimistic

wireless carplay should come with wireless charging port. Otherwise it is meaningless.

What he means is, u still need to have your iPhone plugged in for charging purposes. I'm sure u know how battery consuming it is, using wireless.
