Trained with a bunch of adf guys briefly during my NSF days. Even outside civilian work , met a couple of ex adf guys . Bunch of fun guys . Always had respect for what they do .
Great guys who always took their work seriously, sometimes to hilarious proportions. Once trained with these guys who built a life sized dummy helicopter, blades and all, out from nearby foresty as a training aid because a skeleton frame just would'nt cut it. No airs despite their experience and training, and always willing to teach. Never met better leaders than them during my NSF days. Thank you for your service guys.
ADF is formed of regular soldiers who born with the army for several years unlike conventional NS army. They are also trained in special counter terrorism ops.
For most of them, the pay is not that high, as SAF's payscale is tied to your paper qualifications and rank. Most of these guys despite being very good, do not hold much paper qualifications and hold ranks beneath their experience levels. These guys can do the work of 2-3 nsfs. For the skills sets and experience they bring to the table, they are underpaid in my humble opinion, and I would much certainly wished they were paid like you said.

Its about time to replace the SAR 21 with the BR18 which will be highly flexible for our troops to use different optics depending on the scope of mission. Secondly, do look at the Israeli Negev SAW machine gun. They fire both 5.56mm and 7.62mm with very low recoil and can pump out a high volume of fire. Why 7.62mm ? Sometimes when CQB situations require extra force to change the situation the 7.62mm round is capable of penetrating walls when called upon. From current research the US is considering the switch from 5.56mm to 6.8mm for that extra knock down capability. 7.62mm is a large round and has dual purpose in knock down and hitting a target behind an obstacle, eg, trees and some walls.
All wayang. I complain to PM, minister of defence and mindef about certain stuff in the army. Returned back the latter: Thanks for your service to our nation, our investigation leads to "no evidence". Ya huh, people heat injuries = no evidence, haiz, next time dun bother to ask people for "feedback". Wayang, wayang, if there is war, I abscond, you let those wayang officers do the fighting.

You want stop this nonsense go spread love and peace globally. Try offer some friendly snacks to the cave dwellers in Afghan and see if they want to be your friends first and then to the world then we need not such "nonsense" as you described it. Or perhaps they will strap you up with some IEDs on a timer and make you walk into some town or village and put on a show for the locals to watch and make a blast

Is the Singapore Guards Regiment the ADF? Or is the ADF separate from the Guards Reg?
ADF is part of a brigade under Guards formation.
@@ZrayZaiden Which means that all ADF personnel are trained as Guardsmen first?
@@RevNeilDDavies They can choose not to. But if they choose to be train as Guardsmen, they will go to a different Company, that's what I heard.
