- For a long time, Warrant Officers and Specialists (WOSPECs) were known mostly for their strict parade square regimentation and discipline. But today, they are also leaders and trainers who shape young men into soldiers.

EVERYDAY, I either do a 10km run with 5 sets of Tabata or 10 sets of tabata with a 5km run. Ended off with 1000 CRUNCHES. Workout is to get healthy, relate to fitness, get younger and younger!

The SAF should keep in service as long as possible such dedicated and efficient commander. He is a self motivated person and a true leader. He often, if not, always, lead by example. 1SWO Leong had the respect from all his subordinate that come under his command. He is a natural leader and a model to all his peers, colleagues and even superiors. I had the good fortune to work together with him many years ago in 2PDF as a Company Trainer.
A true passionate guy in training and influencing the guys. Best CWO i have ever seen, respect

Infantry: Chong Sua, lots of sitting in the mud and running through the jungle. Guards: infantry on steroids. Also does helirapelling. Commandos: extremely difficult training, jump out of planes, focus on small group stealth/sabotage missions
@Jacky Phantom Also a lot of stealth/sabotage missions in small elite groups, but more focused on marine based missions. So coastal/beachfront or maybe taking over ships and stuff
Jacky Phantom depends what kind of thing. Of course the navy is in charge of the sea area and the NDU is part of the navy. If it’s a problem for an elite team of men to go in an clear, then NDU may be involved. Of course if the problem is like ships or torpedos and stuff like that the navy will deal with it in other ways

Goodness! SWO Leong was my platoon staff seargeant during my OCS days in 1995. He's one hell of a soldier!

Hi Ronnie White, if you are referring to the staff that SWO Leong is holding at 06:42, it is a Pace Stick used to mark out positions on the parade square for the troops to stand.

The MDS should consider getting the man-portable or vehicle-mounted version of Javelin as a deterrence to any aggressors against this small nation, as well as looking into acquiring Israeli invention of the Iron-Dome defense system, and perhaps the on-going development and study into drones for military defense purpose.
MDS should start considering the suggestions raised, for though we are a small prosperous nation but mighty in military defense of foreign assets and investments here in this country, a country that invested heavily in military technology, advancement of military hardware and firing power.
As we witness the war and rumours of wars in the Europe, i strongly believe it is next in the Middle East war soon which Russia will also be drawn into this war against a smallest nation there in the Middle East, ISRAEL.
