  • How to level your bed on your ender 3 v2 3D printer. This is a video guide on how to level the bed on your ender 3 v2 printer for people who are new to 3D printing and just learning. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask them in the comments below, or join our discord.
    ***PLEASE NOTE*** Filaments like TPU, PETG, ABS, etc WILL bound together with the TH3D ezFLEX bed sheet I showed in the video. You will want to use something like hairspray, or a glue stick on your bed surface BEFORE printing those types of filaments. Don't ruin your brand new print surface the very first time you print something like TPU, like I did. PLA does NOT require you to put anything on the build surface though.

    I use the same leveling method, works like a champ. With the enhanced springs, haven't had to re-level the bed in a long time, though I still check every 3-5 prints because I'm neurotic. Side note: My v2's glass plate was bowl shaped (I've read this is not uncommon). Any print crossing the center would not adhere, I was going nuts. I switched to the EZFLEX bed and now 20+ prints in, no issues and the prints pop off with ease. 100% recommend.

      I think this is my issue. The middle of my v2 bed is lower, which has caused some adhesion issues.

      @@ernestryles It's frustrating for sure. I heard some folks flipped the glass plate over and had favorable results, but by the time I found that nugget I had the magnetic setup incoming from TH3D.

    Hey I’m having trouble setting up my ender 3 V2. My glass build plate is bowl shaped right now and I wanted to buy the build plate you have but the link takes me to a bed leveling system. Would really appreciate a link to the bed plate you have so I can get consistent prints. Does it go on top of the original glass plate or do you get rid of the glass plate altogether? I’m assuming that you had to cut the Z limit switch holder to get your nozzle closer to the bed since you don’t use the original thicker plate with the new plate. Thank you for your vids! They have saved me so much time!

    • @509drone2
      @509drone2  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had this issue as well, but backwards. My corners were a lot looser than my center. If you are manually leveling the bed, level it off the center. Basically pretend your printer bed is a lot smaller than it is. You will rarely print all the way to the edges of the bed, so they are not as important. Jump in our discord and shoot me a msg if you still need help.

    i just got my ender 3 V2 and put it all together last night. I messed with it for a few ours and i cannot get the filament to stick to the bed. I am using the filament they supplied with the unit so i am not wasting filament that i purchased. I have tried to level the bed multiple times but does not help at all, i am thinking the glass might be warped, i will confirm this tonight after work. I also tried the hairspray trick and it made no difference. I will try a glue stick tonight. Should i ditch the glass bed altogether and go with the EXflex? Also should i try clips on each corner and ditch the 2 metal clips supplied?

      Use an adhesive like glue stick or Layerneer Original Bedweld 3d printing adhesive. Apply a layer or coat to tge bed and this should help.

      @@dylankamal I finally got mine to print very well with ABS and PLA, I had the nozzle to far away, so now I set it with a piece of paper to were the paper is vibrating when you pull it, if that makes sense. I also am now using purple glue sticks as well. My machine has not stopped lol. Printing bad ass. I also ended up ordering the self leveling sensor which will be here Wednesday, I am already sick of leveling the bed every damn print.

    I have new ender 3 v2. I leveled the bed so many times that is perfect. However, filament keeps refusing to stick to the bed. I tried everything, nothing is working. Do you think it is a bad filament? Or am I missing something.

    • @509drone2
      @509drone2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes it can be difficult to get it to stick. Try slowly making it tighter and tighter until it sticks. Also look into getting a PEI bed sheet. Check out some of my other videos for info about them. Some filaments will also stick better than others as well. But you should be able to get any filament to stick.

    I finally just did a spring upgrade on my Ender 3 V2 and now I can’t get the damn bed level for the life of me! Good video on bed leveling - I'll have to check out that print surface you used.
    I put lock nuts on the bed leveling screws to keep them from rotating when turning the wheels so leveling stays solid for multiple prints. (Also changed to orange springs). Seems to really work well.
